  1. I personally am not a beach person. I cant understand why anyone would want to lie on a beach all day damaging their skin :o

I love Bangkok, imho you cant beat the buzz of a big metropolis something happening all day and night, never get bored. I also like CM, only because the weather isnt quite so oppresive.

When we finally make the move it will be to the outskirts of Bangkok.

  2. OH, MY! :D

Khall, does the Klown know how you feel about him? :D Sounds like you are going through withdrawal.

Khall and Kayo sitting in a tree.... :D:D

Oh get outta here! Of course the Klown knows how I feel about him...... :D How long you been in these parts Thaibebop, anyways? :o

    :D

Awwwww i love online flirting, its so cute especially with 20000+ memebers listening in :D

    I feel a bit special.

    Whats that? special needs :D

  3. This is just some forward planning. Anyone know where i can get these innoculations done in Bkk

Diphtheria, Tetanus, Pertussis, Polio, HIB, Meningitis C.

We will be coming to Thailand 25th June, along with our newborn, the trouble is these innoculations have to be given at 2 months, if baby comes out on time or late then he wont be 2 months old when we leave for Thailand so he will neeed the injections while he is in Thailand. He is due 28th April by the way

Also advice on the bes hospital and costs would be good :o

  4. Just spoken to the Thai consulate in Cardiff, who by the way are a lot more helpful than the embassy in London. She told me you can no longer renew your Thai passport by post, you must appear in person as you have to have the new e passport, so they need fingerprints.

As for my wife she told me that it would be a lot easier just to renew it in Thailand.

  5. <deleted> morals, they would if they were in your situation. The lack of morals mean more spending money for you.

Screw em mate they spend their entire day doing it to other people so why shouldnt you get one over on them.

Have a nice time spending their money, believe me mate i wouldnt lose any sleep over it, in fact i might even raise a glass of my favourite tipple and thank them while sat on a beach spending money i didnt give to them :o

  6. Stick it to em mate. As long as you have something on paper saying that the price is for 2 then they are bound by a contract. Imagine if you wanted to change things with them, do you think they would let you do it without charging you? I think not.

You are in the right they are bound legally to give you those seats at the price they quoted. Just threaten them with abta and atol. Tell them you will write a complaint to them if they do not respond in a way that is satisfactory to you.

If you need someone to come up there and give someone a slap, i charge very reasonable rates :D Because i know how soft you northerners are :o

  7. Ok the story goes something like this. Were both in the U.K

The wifes passport expires in September this year, and we are going to Thailand in June, so would it be easier to renew her passport and visa in London or is it better to wait till we get to Bangkok?

Also how do we go about moving her visa from her old passport to her new one? She has indefinate leave to remain with no restricitons on work. She actually qulaifies to apply for a U.K passport now as she has been here for 4 years but doesnt want to apply as she thinks it will be too much hassle.

One more thing does anyone know if she can have a 10 year passport or has it got to be just the 5 year passport?

Thanks for any advice. I am sure some it will be passed on by the dodgy northener :o Dont worry only joking Scouse :D

  8. I have a few Thai male friends. One of which i met while he was in the U.K with his family. He worked in the same restaurant as my wife, and we always got on really well.

He left his job at the restaurant and so started to have problems with his visa status. I spent a lot of time trying to help him with his visa application, and visiting the local MP. Sadly nothing could be done and he returned with his family to Thailand a couple of months ago.

But i think i have a friend for life, he still calls to see how were doing, i told him we were coming over in June and he is insiting that we stay at their house.

So to all those who berate Thailand and its people, maybe you should take a long hard look in the mirror because maybe its you that has the problem not the Thai men/women :o

  9. I wouldnt bother with dream World.

It certainly isnt any disneyland. The wife and i took my step daughter and nephew to dream world last year. The prices seemed awfully expensive, half the rides were closed which they didnt tell us at the gate, and their health and safety standards arent up to U.K standards by any stretch of the imagination.

As for spending a day or two there, you will be lucky to occupy three or four hours. Sorry to dissapoint.

We found that just booking a hotel with a swimming pool was all the fun they wanted. I ended up being dragged to the pool everyday for 3 hours and they had a great time.

I would be more inclined to take them to Muang Boran, which is the ancient city museum on the outskirts of Bangkok.

Here is a review of the place, we had a great day out there, but you will need your own transport to get around, we rented a taxi from a friend for the day with him driving.

This is an innovative park-cum-museum (Muang Boran in Thai) in which visitors can learn about Thai architecture and history. Its shape approximates that of the country. As you drive around, you will find famous buildings, monuments and temples representing all regions in Thailand. Visitors will need a private car to navigate around the 280-acre outdoor museum, which is billed as the world's largest. Set aside a whole day for this visit, as the attraction is located a little way out of Bangkok, in Samut Prakan

Good luck and have fun. :o

  10. Cant believe the rain thread dropped all the way to page 18. :D

Well today in the U.K it is lovely and sunny, little bit cold but it is nice to have some sunshine :D

Maybe something to do with the lack of rain, no flooding, lots of sunshine etc.......... but still, good to see you and Icey back after your hols :D

    Thankyou :D

Thaivisa sent me off to Hawai which was pretty fun, not sure where Daleyboy went though :D

Thanks Fletch, i know miss Maiden had a lovely time in Hawai, while i was banished to the land of Billyno mates but i have come back feeling re-vitalised and more sarcastic than ever :o

In the land of Billyno mates it was always very cold and very dark the weather was always wet with some icey patches thrown in. Awww <deleted> that isnt the land of Billyno mates that is just the U.K on good day :D

And today in the land of Billyno mates at 0536 it is dark with a mild wind and slight precipitation. Ohh the <deleted> joys of living in stinky ole England :D
