Never had a problem with Motorcycle taxis, i am set on the heavy side so speed is never a problem. The main problem comes when they forget i am 6"8 so my knees stick out a fair bit, so when dodging traffic i am always smacking my knees on cars, bloody painful

yes... except you'll find the key differences between Thai Visa and both those sites is that they are largely full of middleage ex-pat housewives wanting life saving advice such as where to find a tennis coach, how to discipline their maids and where one can find a supermarket that sells humous.

As for budget, if it was up to me we would be staying in the Oriental but with the wife i have little choice and have to go for the budget option. She gets far too angry at me if i spend too much.

Just checked it out, looks pretty smart. Looks like it is on about hte same par as Ratchada city hotel. Little bit more expensive but then it will save me having to travel all over Bkk.

Yeah been looking at asiarooms, but i have also heard a lot of bad reports about their service. What i am looking for are personal reccomendations of places to stay. I get fed up over Ratchada, when most of the stuff i want to look at is over Sukhumvit, so it means travelling across town all the time.

Not too fussed about the prossies and tourists as we wont be going out much in the evenings anyway, especially with a young baby.

Just faniced a chang eof secenery, maybe china town or somewhere like that. Dont care about English speaking not a problem if only Thai speaking.

I have always found that i can readily get valium at most pharmacies on Sukhumvit without any problem. Like you i use tem before i get on a long haul flight to help me sleep. The chemist i usually get mine from is on Suk 22. If you go down this soi so the american pool place is on your left about 100 yards and you will see a chemist on the right, try there.

Hey looking for a hotel in Bangkok for around 700-800 baht a night, near the skytrain or underground and it needs to have a swimming pool.

We normally stay at the Ratchada city hotel but getting bored with always staying at this hotel, fancied a change. Not too fussed what area we stay in as long as i have access to easy travel around the city, maybe even somewhere near a river taxi would be good, but we will have a small baby with us, so jumping on and off boats while they are still moving could be abit tricky.

I agree with this point completely, its all or nothing. I admit i have looked at other women and thought wow shes cute, but what seperates me from an animal is i have the power to control my urge, 10 minutes later the girl has gone and so has the thought from my mind.

As for the porn angle, my wife and i enjoy watching the occasional porn movie, trouble is i only need the first 5 minutes where the wife likes to watch the whole thing to see how the story finishes i get fed up telling there are no stroy lines to porn.

If my wife didnt enjoy the odd porn movie then we wouldnt have any in the house. As for internet porn, never really got that, i have the choice of looking at a 17" inanimate picture or a full size 4"10 beautiful lady i know which one i will choose every time

I do that!!!! But i do it out of principal rather than being tight. I know it probably costs me more money to drive that extra bit than they are charging but it is the principal of the matter.
