  1. Geez, all you TV boys are SO fixated with each other being closet queens !!! Anyone for a "coming-out" party?? Zapacas are on Kayo :D:D

Men always joke about this, I have no idea why? :o

    Tis true :D

As for closet queen! i take offence at this comment as it implies i am American, where in actual fact here in the U.K we have wardrobes not closets, so i am a wardrobe queen not as you stated a closet queen. :D:D

Yes, and wardrobes sounds so much more high class, like you are a queen with money.

    :D :D

  2. I was having a friendly debate with a friend of mine and decided to take it here to the "trusted" Thaivisa community to settle our little dispute.

We were dicussing which scene is more "disturbing" the "squeal like a piggy" scene from Deliverance, or the "bring out the Gimp" scene from Pulp Fiction?

Without a doubt the bring out the gimp scene. Disturbing but a true masterpiece.

I found the greenhouse scene out of scum probably one of the most disturbing pieces of cinema i have ever seen :o far worse than Bring out the gimp

I think you have been smoking some funny stuff over there mr kayo, maybe a bit of salvia perhaps? That is pretty big over your neck of the woods. :D

Yeah, the boy has got me worried too. :D

He said "but I don´t want to sleep with YOU guys... " :o

Which just implies that we are not his type, but if a man of his type came along then he might be interested. :D

  6. Lateset update. Very bloody cold in Bristol the last few days. Today hasnt got above freezing and the reckon we are in for some serious cold. I bet all you people residing in Thailand wish you could swap with me. Well i am currently offering a house swap.

Nice 3 bed house on the outskirts of Bristol, looking to swap with a 2 bed apartment or condo in.... well anywhere in Thailand would be good. I want aircon and cable tv, also not to far from Bangkok would be good :D

Please dnt send multiple replies as i am expecting a huge response from this and it will be on a first come forst serve basis. :o

  8. Thanks for all the swift response to this one:

BKKmadness: good points; However I make an important point here, ideally all fourth floor residents would be issued with a key. However I am a trustworthy, long term resident and British, not a dishonest, low-life, who from time to time are resident on my floor.

Keys could not be issued to all. I like the idea of a one way fire door; but it would be at my own expense.

The key idea seems good to me.

    What do you think?

Why dont you just cut the padlock off with a grinder and then buy two big bolt type locks like this....

    aboltlock2jy.jpg

And then you will have security from the inside and no danger of them being a trap hazzard in case of a fire. Also if your really worried buy a fire extingisher and have that by your door just in case.

  9. Awe you guys, you make me laugh.

I hope that new style is staying DB, maybe you could add a flowery border....... :o

    redrus

Thanks redrus, i always knew you batted for the wrong side.As for the flowers well.........

  10. Cool no worries, looks like the airport is the way then.

Wasnt planning on going straight up north week in Bkk first. :o

Khao Chagan is more East than North, so will it be easier to go North first and then cut across? Never really paid any attention in the past, on the bus i usually just go to sleep as we always took the first bus in the morning which is like 5am.

  11. I tried posting this in the central Thailand forum, but it is a bit of a waste ground there and nobody really posts or reads, so i am posting it here hoping to get a few replies, especially to the second part of my question about rentals in Bangkok.

I am looking for car rental places around the Khao Chagan area. The wifes village is about 30 minuts from Khao Chagan and i wouldnt mind renting a car for the few days we are there.

I have also thought about renting in Bkk and driving up there myself, how easy do you reckon it would be? I dont fancy driving through bangkok so i would like a rental place just outside bangkok, somewhere i can get a taxi too then drive the rest of the way myself.

    What route would you take?

Forgot to add anybody got any prices for a car for say a week. Need something that i can fit a car seat and room for 2 adults and luggage. The ideal motor would be one of those pick-ups with the double cab on them, as long they have seat belts in the back. I would want proper insurance as well.

  12. I didnt mean to say that Fairproperty were scammers,in fact dont think i did.

What im saying is the r many stories of Villa andCondo owners using any 1 of the many agents

who ask them to rent for say 15000B a mnth. then see their property advertised at say 18000b r more.when they inquire with the agent about this, they get a reply,"it give us bartering space".

So to sum up....FP r among the best agents in Patters, but as with most things in LOS bartering is

    a MUST.

No you didnt matey, i was reponding to captainM :o

  13. I dont think they are a scam, i have seen them advertising in Pattaya trader loads of times. And judging from heir website they have pretty large offices.

At the end of the day if you book using your c/c then you should be covered against fraud.

I am sure there are a few members out there that have dealt with this particular company. :o

  14. Heres what i used to drive, before i got the wife preggers. A mint condition 1995 nissan skyline r33 gts25t. Fully modded upto 450bhp.

    dscn0059small0ln.jpg

And sadly this is what i am driving now :o 1998 ford scorpio cosworth

    dsc000114ok.jpg

The wife loves this car, i think it is bloody ugly, but it does have all the toys, and although not even close to the skyline it is pretty quick

  15. Thanks for the kind words and the good advice. Lots to think about! (joy!) Lots to buy! (Cringe, lol)

As far as buying stuff goes, try doing what me and mrs daleyboy have done, and that is every time you go shopping just buy a few items that your baby will need e.g newborn nappies, baby wipes, baby shampoo etc, and if you know if yours is a boy or girl then you can buy some clothes.

We have done this every week since we found out we were having a boy and now he has a full wardrobe of clothes, the little bugger has got more than me and he hasnt even been born yet. All we have done is buy half a dozen sleep suits, half a dozen body suits, a few jumpers, and clothes ranging in sizes from newborn upto 9 months. So we dont have to worry about buying anything for the first 9 months or so. :o

  16. You all are blessed. May God/Buddha bless all your children and children to come.

We've been trying for the last 12 years with no luck :o , getting too old and starting to realize "its not gonna happen", so looks like adoption for us :D .

Mouse, nice pix. They are beautiful indeed.

I do believe that adoption can be equally if not more rewarding by giving a poor unfortunate child a chance at a better life, i have the upmost respect for people who adopt. Good on you misplaced :D
