What is this book? I've have a few condos, never a book, never a problem selling. So obviously it isn't necessary.
May not be necessary for some, my house Bluebook has my children and wife in it.
I have a condo Bluebook which has a friends child in it.
I use it regularly for Residence Certs.

I've been here for 16 years and have never bothered with them, I've not encountered anything yet that I can't do without one just as easily, apart from join in the bar room bragging contest about who's the most Thai farang in the group.
it's not about being bothered with them.
Once you purchase a condo and given the title the Bluebook comes automatically - no bother, no charge, no paperwork.
it is a bother for the developer, that's why he gets the big bucks.

Yes i bought my 1st class Insurance through them last year but i find their response to emails poor even for simple questions so I'd prefer to buy my insurance elsewhere
ok, understood.
there is another insurance company I had been using before AA, it looks like it has changed the name - Macallan Brokers.
They're located on Pattaya Tai between soi 2 & 4.

DLT office in Central?
Is this in Central Festival between Second road/Beach road?
If so, what floor is it on and when are they open?
It would certainly be better than the drive to the DLT building on route 36.

it'll be printed at the bottom of the receipt that inspection certificate is required for next year's renewal too
You’re right mate, just paid my tax today at Central, it has been closed since Mother’s Day.
I had a look at my receipt and in Thai, it is telling me for next year’s registration an Inspection is necessary.

I remember when Australia implemented a regulation regarding larger motorbikes, they did it fairly by giving every rider which had a current motorbike licence approval for riding any size (cc) bike.
I was given a motorcycle licence from the Thai DLT 14 years ago, I showed my Australian licence which was recognised by Thailand.
I have owned 3 big bikes in Thailand. A Buell and 2 x 1200 cc Ducati’s, why would they want me to sit for a test and why should I be penalised.
Just start the new laws for newly licenced riders as Australia did, K.I.S.S.
BTW, yes change the ruling for motorway use while you’re at it.

In both cases after the period of 5 or 7 years ends.
So for motorbikes: before the registration for the 6th year.
For cars: before the registration for the 8th year.
My car was first registered (bought) in September 2011.
This year (2018) I had to do the first technical inspection to get the sticker until Sep. 2019 (2562). I went early as I will be traveling in Sep.
That’s what I thought, I have a Toyota that I first registered September 2012, when I picked up my CTP from my insurance agent I asked if an inspection was required, obviously they had no idea and just replied an incompetent YES.
I’m disappointed, have been using this agent in Pattaya since they opened,
I have 4 vehicles, house and condo insurance over the last 10 years, good business for them.
When I ask a question, btw an important question because haven’t had to do before they reply poorly.

If paying at 7/11 how do they update the green/blue book ? I'm stating to think the updating tax page in the book is a bit redundant.
They don't, the book'll get updated only when you take it to them in person,
But paying online and via 7-11 is only for cars/bike not needing inspection, so by the time the 7th years, you'll need to get inspected and present the inspection certificate to them.
When does a vehicle need to be inspected? Bikes 5 year and car 7 year.
Is that older than 5 years for bikes or is it the 5th year of registration?
and Is that older than 7 years for cars or is it the 7th year of registration?

If you haven't been through Poipet before then it works as follows.
When you get to the Thai Immigration side there will most likely be a very long queue for exit, it will be 99% Thai and Cambodians waiting to go through.
Don't join that queue. Ay the actual Imm' departure side they go through on the ground floor and you go to the stairs that lead to the upper floor, it's generally a much shorter queue.
Stamp out and go through the exit. Walk across the bridge and you will/might see people, expats, queuing outside a building on your right. They are getting their visas there, you don't need to, you have yours already ( e-visa ).
Keep walking and just ignore the we can help you with visa sir merchants.
After about about 300 metres you'll see the 'enter Cambo queue' right hand side of the road after the Casinos.
Make sure you have a pen to fill out the landing cards etc, not easy when all you have is your knee as a desk sometimes.
I always made two copies of the e visa, one to hand over and one for return to Thailand, I know it's not really required but when you return it helps the Cambo leaving side as they will spend ages flicking through your passport looking the big green visa sticker that you won't have.
Lots of things like booze, cigarettes etc on sale in no-mans land but only a 120% of it is fake.
Has anyone got a “here’s how it works for” Cham Yeam (Koh Kong) border?

The next bank statement the officials will see is 3 months prior, so how will they know if the money is spent down?

You can work outside the country with an extension of stay or a OA visa.
Many people are doing it.
YES TRUE,
If you work OUTSIDE Thailand it makes NO difference what visa you have for Thailand.

Per my previous post above and based on my past several years of dual UK passportry, your perception that the "British government hands out 2nd passports willy nllly" maybe isn't the case. The request letter needs to be the signed original in the mail and they contact the signatory of that letter. They also want to see a full color scan of the other, concurrent passport as part of the either passport renewal application.
I would suggest that British oil field workers having concurrent UK passports are comparatively rare but an Australian oil field worker having concurrent AU passports is more rare.
Yes, the biggest 48-page British one only has 42 usable pages. I recall reading that Australians can get a 60-page passport, is that correct? I also read that there is a 90-page UK passport exclusively for flight crew but haven't found any evidence of that being factual.
Not sure what the comment on the RE is relevant unless you missed in the OP that I called the retirement Extension an 'RE' to save typing it in long-hand every time. As explained, my 'first' passport has the RE and all the required supporting re-entry permits in it. The multiple re-entry permit costs the same whether one uses it 3 times or 6 times. I don't nickel and dime on getting single re-entry permits as I know I will be traveling a lot.
Thanks
My British friends are very good mates, we drink together regularly when in town.
What you have described regarding having a second British passport issued is nothing like what my mates have described.
“The request letter needs to be the signed original in the mail and they contact the signatory of that letter. They also want to see a full color scan of the other, concurrent passport as part of the either passport renewal application.”
I assume the request letter is generated by the Employer/manager etc.
Most mates are on day rate (not on salary as I was required), not even a permanent job, one friend wasn’t employed and was issued a second passport – this is definitely WILLY NILLY.
Yes, 64 page Aussie passport.
And yes RE require a re-entry permit which cost money.
As I said using your 2nd passport would avoid the cost of re-entry permits, therefore saving money.
I’m sure many choose this option to avoid permit costs.

I have a CONCURRENT passport from Australia. This is not common, in fact rare.
The Australian government require a lot of information from your employer to allow Australian citizens to have a second passport.
I work offshore and have many friends with British passports,
I get the impression the British government hands out 2nd passports willy nllly.
I understand using a second passport for entry into Thailand.
1. Passports fill very quickly.
2. RE is not multiple entry, a cost saving if coming in on the 2nd passport.
Perhaps Immigration are getting fed up with all these Brits having 2 passports.

I was then slammed into by a motorcycle with several school girls riding it who were around 12 years old who also were not wearing helmets. The damage to both vehicles was substantial; theirs appeared totaled, mine needed to go to the shop for a week. They were rushed to a hospital. I wanted to get the reaction of the policeman at the scene as to why children were allowed to drive on public roads. He politely responded "it's normal". Apparently no wrong doing was seen by anyone and no lesson was learned. Reading the input from the OP I think it is a terrific idea if schools would refuse to allow underage students to drive to school. If they don't listen then call the police to be waiting the next morning to have a chat.
Did you know you are legally in the wrong?
The accident involved minors therefore you are to pay for their hospital expenses etc.

If you don't have a data plan and are using any internet at all the charges are punitive, that's likely where your 200 Baht has gone.
As noted above AiS and the others have some very competitive data plans, just sign up for one.
Yes, this how these systems work. Well said.

Here we go again,speculating.
What happened earlier? Any footage?
As far as I'm concerned both at blame.
To king hit someone in a school yard, unacceptable, the poor little girl she was begging. That will stay with her for the rest of her life and all the other students.
It's sad all round.

Likewise. I am using the sort that come on the yellow sponge and never had a problem with getting stabbed.
Easy to separate the green pad from the yellow sponge if so desired.
No yellow sponge, it is the green plastic type scourer.

I'm positive it's coming from the scourer, I can remove the steel but there are far too many to get them all.
BTW, thanks for the information attached. I shall give 3M an email to find out what's going on.

It would be far better and more convenient to show immigration your house book.
Your chanotte should always be kept in a safe place, to take it here and there is a big risk.
