Silly comparison. You also wouldn't get a Pattaya taxi to start for under 100 Baht whereas in Bangkok 50 Baht gives you a 3 kilometre ride.
Minimum charge for a m/c taxi in Pattaya is 30, although they almost always insist on 40 if there is a farang involved.
Actually, it is a very silly comparison because Bangkok living expenses are so much higher than that in Pattaya, this is why I am amazed at why Pattaya Motorcycle taxis can charge so much or why Bangkok Motorcycle taxis charge so much less.

I never pay more than 10 Baht (ok always 10 baht) to the BTS from my Condo and they have to take 2 corners and then they have to U turn to get back to their Bike taxi stand.
Im amazed, the thief's (motorbike taxi's ) wouldn't even start their bike up for 10 baht here in pattaya.

Mate, get real. It's minium 40 baht for around the corner.
It's far cheaper to take a metered taxi.

Thanks mum but I take copies which are readily accepted.
Ok, you sure you're in Thailand.
I've always been asked for originals plus copies whenever I'm dealing with government departments.

Then I got the blue one which I like better.
Are you saying you like the Bluebook better than ID card?
You won't have your name in the Blue Book.

There's nothing bad about having those things and there's certainly no bragging involved! The point is that those things don't make life easier or more simple and as such, they are, in my opinion, unnecessary trimmings - all of the items you mention are one off events, some of which that have a renewal at some future point....drivers license don't require address proof at renewal, bank accounts get opened and typically remain open and immigration gets a copy of my (reverse side) chanotte to prove the address.
It would be far better and more convenient to show immigration your house book.
Your chanotte should always be kept in a safe place, to take it here and there is a big risk.

What is this book? I've have a few condos, never a book, never a problem selling. So obviously it isn't necessary.
May not be necessary for some, my house Bluebook has my children and wife in it.
I have a condo Bluebook which has a friends child in it.
I use it regularly for Residence Certs.

I've been here for 16 years and have never bothered with them, I've not encountered anything yet that I can't do without one just as easily, apart from join in the bar room bragging contest about who's the most Thai farang in the group.
it's not about being bothered with them.
Once you purchase a condo and given the title the Bluebook comes automatically - no bother, no charge, no paperwork.
it is a bother for the developer, that's why he gets the big bucks.

Please make that video and try to beat Ghostrider's record. And I mean his average speed record of 273km/h on that road - not the noise record.
Nope,
I just CRUISE - Lovin it.
I'm a show-off, 162HP, 0 to 100 km/hr in 2.6 seconds - it's nice to have the power.
Now I have an xDiaavel S, I set the cruise control to 80km/hr, if I'm on the track I might give the LAUNCH CONTROL a hit.
On the roads I just cruise around and watch the fools zoom around me, I get a kick out of it.
Hate watching those foolish videos, no respect to other road users. imagine the fright, the drivers not knowing there is an idiot about to over/undertake.

You just have to drive fast enough and without license plate...
I am sure most of us have seen this video a couple of times. But it's still amazing.
The poor little thing is making a lot of noise.
If I had my Diavel revving to the extreme you'd see a completely different video.

Ok, thanks for the lack of recommendations.
Anyway I visited a few shops around town and found these people to be very good.
Bottom of Theprasit was the Curtain shop same side of road as Kasikorn Bank and the screen door shop just up a bit on the other side next to the Krungthai Bank.
Both shops fast service, great pricing and quality.
I actually had the screen door shop fit some additional fly screens to my house.
I’ve attached their business cards for those of you that PM me.

Yes i bought my 1st class Insurance through them last year but i find their response to emails poor even for simple questions so I'd prefer to buy my insurance elsewhere
ok, understood.
there is another insurance company I had been using before AA, it looks like it has changed the name - Macallan Brokers.
They're located on Pattaya Tai between soi 2 & 4.

DLT office in Central?
Is this in Central Festival between Second road/Beach road?
If so, what floor is it on and when are they open?
It would certainly be better than the drive to the DLT building on route 36.

Send the code to a friend/family member in Aus. and ask them to send to you.
or call them when Westpac notifies you the code has been sent.

I thought you probably had a leak somewhere, if no leak was found I'd say possibly a meter issue but it maybe theft. You say you're away for many months at a time, Is someone stealing your water. Set up an Internet camera while you're away to monitor abroad.

When it comes into force i believe it will be for all new riders taking their test. Riders who already have the normal license will be exempt. So i was told.
This is what happened in Australia when changes were made.
The most sensible option.

What was your car a Bugatti Veyron?
That’s the only car that would achieve that 0 – 100 in 2.6 seconds
Vacuum seems to be a fibber.
He mentioned racing - which is not comparable to street legal "standard" cars.
Do you know what a Bugatti Veyron is?
It is a road registered racing car which outperforms most racing cars when it was released.
What racing are you talking about F1?
Do you understand how much power is needed to get from 0 – 100 in 2.6 seconds?

My Ducati Diavel totally awesome.
Not too many people on the planet have had the opportunity to be in control of a vehicle which can accelerate at this rate.
I am one of the lucky few.
I did this when I was into racing, in a car though.
PS. On a race track, not on the roads.

Wrong. The thread was started in March 2013.
Johng posted his info on August 25th.
Yeh, really need to get some up to date info.
It seems the Thais have only recently (the last week) hit panic stations, they are all wanting a licence before new laws come in.
