The thing is, their not trying to hire me under the table though. Like I asked how I was going to be paid, they said salary, by check once a month with option for public health.
None of this means anything to the comment made. Getting insurance and paid salary by check means nothing pertaining to getting your work permit. Without a degree you can not get a temporary teachers license which means the work permit office will not issue you a work permit. Simple 1 + 1 =3 haha. Your only choice it to risk working illegally or to quit. No working permit will be given to you. As for the speaker position. This would not apply as your contract says teacher and hours in class per week. The school knows this which is why they have not applied. The nightmare to get your permit is incorrect when dealing with schools that do this yearly. Your problem is simply you don't have a degree.

Forgive me to understand this correctly. You will buy a piece of a bar?
If this is case I would say beware. My friend did this. 10% ownership for a % of the profits. In the end he got ripped off. Seems if the contract states the name of the bar. Then the owner can make any excuse to claim the need to close. Even (which is the case of my friend) the rental agreement being cancelled. Then the owner can simply change the name of the bar and reopen under the new bake and new rental agreement. Thus, causing you to lose your investment all and legally have no grounds to make a claim for fraud or for any breach of the contract.
Just an FYI to look out for in your search. This is not saying it would happen to you. But I would avoid a few small bars in LK METRO. Not to mention any names.

Many scammers is not all you find now. More than usual are sex workers and women who are begging for help money But if wanting to meet they disappear. Most common replies are needing money to pay rent and out of work. Even chatted some foreigners with this scam. Problem is as long as their are men willing to believe everything read in chats or messages and stupid enough to send money. Their will be women or men losing as women to try it. As for the 13 year old. Surely this is uncommon and the perv who met that kid needed to be arrested. Sickos like that would have preyed on kids locally not online just as easily. So can not blame the app for it and instead commend the police for learning about it. 90% of women I have chatted previously have been on the app to get money. Not seeking dates or love and not wanting to meet for real.

This will set the complaining whiners off.
The complaining whiners that live in Thailand where they have been safer and far less likely to die than in their own countries, quite a few of which had death rates not double, not triple, but a hundred times plus times worse.
Can they accept the Thais have done a job 100 times better than them?
Nah. It doesn't even register.
This British B117 variant is a nasty variant. It has caused many times more deaths in Thailand than than the other variants. It is a big killer.
But fair to say they are doing a vastly superior job handling the B117 variant with a total of less than 700 dead over a year and a half compared to just one day in the UK where 1800 died. One day.
WHO recognises the outstanding job, I recognise the outstanding job, the only ones that can not are the miserable serial complainers who complain about everything Thai, day after day, but interestingly choose to live in this beautiful country.
Ok, now back to the harping.
Have you even been outside? Is not Thailand gov that has made infection less.. Is living like a hermit in a cage that is being done by most thais and foreigners. Everytime the gov has done something it's made cases increase. And who can believe the infection rate remains constant within a few hundred unless this is just based on percentage tested within the population. Surely you have seen every country in the world have increases whej clusters are found. For all we know, there are 100s of thousand infected already. How to know this. Even in their prison system it took a few to learn there were thousand infected. Then their mismanagement even in notifying pattaya their vaccines were never sent. And now in the news. I am reading Thailand already has received 6 million doses yet where are they? Surely not being administered to the public yet. I am not saying Thailand has not done a good job in dealing with this virus. But surely it is not the gov who has been responsible for this happening. The thai people are more afraid of getting infected and are taking their own actions to stay safe. They don't even trust the gov from what I am told. Seems maybe you are wanting to promote the gov without seeking or knowing anything about this situation. Give credit where credit is due. The thai people should be given this. Not the Thai government for their handling the crises that they created!

so called an engineer to come round. After 15 minutes of testing, he said it was to do with my HDMI port/ internal computer board and could not be repaired
Unless it's the motherboard damaged. A HDMI port can be replaced in your laptop . Think your engineer doesn't know what he is doing very good. If motherboard is damaged then time to replace your laptop with a new one. The cost will be about the same either way. But really think you should consider second opinion at a good shop about the HDMI port. I have had mine changed before. Also it's entirely possible its the HDMI wiring from oc to tv. This also happened to me after plugging it in a few times. Wire get bent in the connection.

You only need a signed copy of your wife's house book and ID card.
They might also want a copy of your marriage certificate.
If I remember last time I asked for this residency. They also wanted the owner of the house whose name is in the blue book to be present. This was a problem as I remember due to the age of my father in law. So they permitted my wife to act in his behalf. They do require though a form filled out by the owner and copy of bluebook as well as copy of the owners ID.

I thought this was May already. Why now they sending these April's fool's jokes to the news. Haha

If she's slept with 20 guys in 3 days, then I'm the Pope.
This would depend on if it was true and the prices she offered if it was true. Perhaps she could find 20 guys if she was only asking 200 baht each. That is to say. If she was really a prostitute and really had slept with 20 men in 3 days. Haha. I don't think Thai ken or foreigners are so desperate to have this woman even for short time.

Moreover, if you look at the positive case dispersions you would have to make a very large leap of connection to pin them all on Sungkran travel.
I know this is a convenient way to pigeonhole the cause of the recent outbreaks, and I am not supporting or defending the government -- they are quite capable of doing that themselves -- but rather, looking at the facts on the ground. I know, using facts to come to an understanding of something is a lost art, but still worth doing.
What thousands and thousands travelling? There were small numbers only traveling prior to songkran. People were still trying to work to make up lost income for the previous unnamed lockdown. Show me your proof of this ridiculous statement. As it is possible there was a small chance of covid spreading priir to covid. The songkran holiday boosted that chance measurably. So it was more likely that was the main cause of this recent outbreak.

Just remember. The current system also allowed a couple of government hi-so who blatantly withheld their whereabouts when they got infected . Thus showing all thais and foreigner alike that it is an easy thing to do and not likely something they would get caught at or get in trouble for if they also hide where they go. The sheep following the wolves. Leadership held the responsibility to set the tone by example. So why blame the people when they just follow this same example?

I wouldn't out any trust in what this man says. Even the local thais do not believe him

Jeez. Took that police department all that effort and time to bust a few women only. Could have easily opened badoo or thaifriendly or tinder and found hundreds of them selling themselves for VIP service in your own home. They could have set up a home and had all these women coming to them and arresting them. I know one in 3 that I have chatted are seeking customers in these apps. Quite alot due to covid and businesses closing.

And what do people who are not happy together anymore? They separate!
What would be the point of staying with a person who doesn't make you happy?
Apart from that I suggest have a close look what problems you have to make sure you don't repeat the same problems in the next relationship. Money might be one issue but often there are a lot more issues and just pretending all would be happy if she would only receive enough money is often unrealistic.
Currently have a gf who always complains I don't give her enough money. Wanting more. Doesn't matter if I spend 15000 or 20000 on her monthly. Buying her foods and giving her my obey to use while at work. She seems to think she will find Mr. Rich man foreigner who will do all I do and still throw her cash more because she is such a good woman. Doesn't clean after herself or help clean the apartment we lived in together. Even she got that free 4000 baht good money the government gave out. She prefers to lose what she didn't spend rather than buy me a cheap thai meal sometimes.
So I'm dumping her.
Sure she is pretty and so good in sex. But there is more to having a gf or woman you love than just sex. So I think your posting this is accurate. Surely there is more he isn't saying that makes him uncertain to end the relationship. Beauty is only skin deep anyway. But if the woman is already complaining the money you spend or give her. Then it will only get worse.
My guess is she is already searching for Mr. Rich man who will give her more online. Hence the change in attitude about your relationship being a financial venture she is not happy with. Most men online will insult your efforts and promise more just to get that pretty girl once. But it makes the girl think she is worth more money to her bf and gives confidence to complain he doesn't give her enough.

Facebook is in itself a form of cyberterrorism. They choose what they want to censure.. Decide what they think should be permitted or what they want the public to believe. Force you to divulge private information that is stored forever on their mainframes. They conspire with other platforms to block content based on their own perceptions. There is no freedom within the platform and those who use it daily are puppets to what facebook moderators deem good for your mentality.
Platforms like facebook should permit freedoms to say what you think.. They should pay for news the same that is otherwise paid for on the news services sites.
In essence their use of links collect them income and take away income from the news services platforms. I read many comments in here that prove most tvf posts do not seem to understand this. Imagine if you opened a website and charged money for registration or a flat fee to access the information that was on your link.. Then along comes FB and bypasses your link to pay for this access. You would want it stopped also. Then imagine because you told FB to stop that they blocked your other links for emergency aid or where to go for help.. FB is the one extorting.. FB is the one cheating and stealing. FB is the one that needs to be taken out to pasture.

Sin sod is a family matter. If the family feels they can milk you for money. Any amount can be said... If the family wants the woman to be loved and provided for.. they will return the sin sod to you on wedding day. My Thai family put all the sin sod under our wedding bed.. we showed 400,000 baht and 4 baht of gold. All returned to us. If the Thai family is asked my for sin sod alot and wants to keep it. Then perhaps you can expect you or new wife will be always sending them lots of money. Best to marry into a family that views you as a husband instead of an atm machine. Good luck

It's not drivers always to blame. Yesterday I had a pedestrian walk between cars and into my bike making me crash and breaking their leg. I'm told I am to blame for this also.

Sure there is. The Thai government has offered my wife ( a government worker) to get her vaccine free being offered now. However, they have informed her that within 6 months she will need a booster vaccine also. Given this detail makes it clear to see that the Thai gov knows it's vaccine is not effective and is already making plans to have their people revaccinated at a later date.
