90 Day Reports Bangkok Imm,
Agreed. I was just informing people how online applications have improved, now hours to be approved not days. It took me less than 10mins to submit online to get approved in 2hrs. Doing via mail option seems cumbersome in comparison.

Do colourblind glasses and/or colourblind contact lens work?
Excellent news. I'll order some of those glasses and see how they work for my colourblindness. Cheers!

Haven't seen this test yet, but even if colourblind surely you'regoing to see a white light, so what's the point of the test?

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
When several people were posting their comments / views on married extensions (vs Retirement), I joined in. Hopefully others who might have the option (like me) between the two extension options and are considering, will read the various posts and it will help them make a decision, with a major plus point of married extension being the possibility of getting a Work Permit and working here. I read so often people knocking married extensions, a few people have contributed reasons in favour of them. Threads also tend to meander from OP posts, which is a good thing so long as comments are positive and helpful. So no i don't think it was sorta irrelevant.

CT142 Winter Trip 2025/6
Any beach areas between saam roi yot and chumphon you would particularly recommend people stay for a couple of days? Once drove down to Chumphon, but one of my sonstook ill as soon as we arrived, so we ended up having to drive home for him, so saw little.

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
Why so? They just want to check that you are living where in you say and that you are living in a marriage situation (i.e. with thai spouse). Nothing to worry about if you are, just show them some of your possessions.

Visa extension based on Marriage vs Retirment
I agree with the others in this thread who have commented that the process of applying for an extension based on marriage isn't particularly difficult and isn't anymore difficult than applying for a retirement extension, and it has the benifit of not tieing up b800k AND allows you to work. The only disadvantage of a Marriage extension over a Retirement extension for me personally, is I have to return to the imm office 30 days later to get the stamp in my passport (which is a 2hr round trip) so a minor inconvenience. Apart from (1) go get K.R.22 marriage certificate from Amphur office 15mins drive away, (2) go get bank letter/statement [samasrequirement as for a Retirement extension] and (3) prepare photos of family (take photos, put joegs in to Word, print...easy), everything else I provide is a photocopy of whatever i provided in the previous year so not onerous. I know some people have had and dread home visits, but we've never had one yet in +20 years in this house. The 'Support Thai wife' extension has allowed me to work here for over two decades. B400k tied up for only 2+1months is also very reasonable. Therefore, in my opinion, if you have the option of Marriage or Retirement, the former is the better option.

If anyone's wife thinks like that, that marriage is on rocky ground.

There's also one company (forgot their name) doing one direct flight per week each way between Suvarnabhumi and Manchester.

Do colourblind glasses and/or colourblind contact lens work?
Google is good, but even Google couldn't work out the connection between: "Do colourblind glasses and/or colourblind contact lens work?" and "Crickets".

Renewed my 5 years Thai Driving Licence at Chatuchak – March 2026
So if you renew just after your birthday you can get 6 years and not 5 years. Anyone know how long after the expiry they will still let you apply to renew and not have to redo your driving licence (I.e. do the actual driving part of the test).

No idea. I assume most of us on 'Support Thai wife' extensions use the b400k option.

Similar to you, I've been through it twice and still dip in to my battered copy which is always on my desk for use.

It is obviously outdated as you point out, but I found it, and i still find it very useful - each to their own.
