Having said that, its a real gift from God that he made it because this is a huge fall."
If so, than why didn't god prevent it in the first place?
What is this god thing you're writing about? I've heard mention of it but yet to see any evidence.
You'll have the chance to meet him one day.

I own over 40 firearms in the States...proud of my collection...some people hate weapons some love them...to each his own.
But as a Great American once said "From my cold dead hands" thats the only way I'll surrender my guns.

Oh my God another one!!! There is a real lot of you i think!!! When i was small we played indians and cowboys, but guess what... Than i did grow up....Why dont you.....the wild west are gone for ever and still you are creating wild west by all idiots in USA that are carrying guns and rifles and feeling like a pioneer......Regarding the first reply>> dear god please tell me you are being sarcastic.
silly topic but im bored and feel like hearing myself clack away.
Although I wouldn't use the word "love", I get your general point and the answer isn't even close.
Americans have a deep historical connection to guns.
They were the tools that helped free them from the clutches of the monarchy.
Have you ever realized you forgot to wear your watch after leaving the house and felt naked?
That would be the feeling settlers moving west had when they didn't have their gun. It offered protection and was a means of acquiring meat.
I got a Red Ryder BB gun when i was 9. Probably spent 200 hours shooting cans behind my house. Soon began taking our golden retriever up to my neighbors barn to shoot the pigeons that shit all over. Dog brought the birds back to our house in her mouth and boom, the cats had a meal.
My cousin is a true gunsmith, he has a full on love of guns and teaching about them.
One of the most impressive pieces built in my high school woodshop class was a beautiful wooden gun safe built by my best friends older brother. Kept the guns locked up and clean for when hunting season came around. We were taught at a young age that touching the safe meant you get the belt.
I'm sure there are some Thais who have similar sentiments, but i would be surprised if it is as widespread.
You shoot children in school, you shoots your presidents, and you are killing all over the place..... When will you stop,,, will you ever stop.....

Its almost a shame the OP didn't hit him with the water in the initial incident.
Hearing aid knocked out, wouldn't have heard the OP's retort and wouldn't have said "c'mon then" and ended on the ground, then hospital.
Life can be cruel at times, eh...................
OP, don't take it to heart, and forget about going back to Canada over something like this...................
A very stupid and ignorant post.
As a hearing aid user since more than 25 years I can tell you that one of the biggest fears is that someone puts water over you, resulting in the malfunction of the hearing aid, has to be repaired and some parts will have to be exchanged. On top of that the hearing aid could be away for repair during a week or ten days, leaving someone, who needs the hearing aid, not able to communicate, watch tv, hear traffic and so on.
Did you know, clever guy, that a hearing aid can cost over 100K baht? No of course not, you thought you buy in 7/11 for 200 baht, right?
Think next time you post, if nothing interesting comes up, just don't post.
To the OP: you're at fault, as much as can be. You had a "trivial" (for you) incident before, then you spray him with water. Even if you missed, the guy has been scared to get water in his expensive hearing aid, so he exploded, logical, you don't spray a guy with water, a guy you have had a minor misunderstanding with, as it could easily be seen more aggressive than you refuse to admit. Your opening the gate after threatening him made the thing aggressive on your side, as he stood outside the gate, so did not come on your property.
Your wife is the clever one here, keeping the peace in the neighbourhood after your attack is a major thing in Thailand. If you don't understand that it's time to go back to Canada.
What do you do when it rains...put a Lotus bag over your mug..???

Damn at the wimps here.....you come to my door threating me.......I will put you on your ass.
Apologise for what...??? If the Aussie can't take a joke then he's the one should leave.... As some suggested take him a drink...the fool would probably complain about the brand...You sound like a Friendly Man....your welcome in my neighborhood anyday....And the paying bit......I wouldn't pay the ass any mind.

Suthep accomplished much by getting lil sis and others out. He cannot appoint a new pm of course. Now things will be decided through the courts. That will take time. But reforms before new elections seem unrealistic.
Suthep has the right idea and he also has massive backing from almost all government officials, probably the military, most of the country and most of the senate (the only functioning part of parliament left).
Democratically his demands make a lot more sense than a completely decimated cabinet with absolutely no mandate of even if they did have a mandate, no legislative powers to do anything.
They could only now encourage a same, same style undemocratic election process as Feb 2nd. They also have the choice to have election reforms initiated according to Abhisit's proposals so at least we can see elections that ALL are happy with..... but they won't because they only have vested interests in fraudulent elections that hand them a massive advantage again via corrupt means so they can hilariously call it 's mandate'.
PTP are the enemy of democracy... they don't want it, they can't capitalize on it, they can not get power through it.
It is now becoming most apparent that a coup is the only answer, and these idiots silenced for good.
The only thing Suthep is doing, is trying to give an alternative to a coup.... It is now one or the other and nothing in between is going to materialise.
I would challenge "Most of the Country" phrase

Again, equally applicable. Violent elements on either side are equally hazardous to the democratic process. The UDD more in my view but suthep has his thugs as well.
Considering everything gets burnt down at the end of that film, wouldn't Gone with the Wind' be more of a UDD movie? As a title......."Gone With the Wind" ...........springs to mind.
"Apocalypse Now" in that case.

Twisted words by Khaosod!. He was not defending brutality but asking for understanding about the closure of the Don-Muang express-way by the guards last Friday.
ps: he did not order the guards to close the road; he ordered to "take care of the road" to avoid attacks from the height while they were at the Police, but the guards did close the road and it took 2 hours until Luang Pu knew about that (he was busy with the tear-gas and water) and then he ordered to immediately open the road.
A fool to his Defence.

If only they had not tried to amnesty Taksin.. That is what started this all.. all is a result of this utter incompetent corrupt government that only works for their big boss.Congratulations peoples medium!
I didn't know your reforms included the tourist industry!
The reds so easily forget what started this all.
So the Reds are forcing the Yellow's to hold Bangkok hostage......555

430million? and it will all just wash away within a short period. What a farce... Thailand I mean, not just this particular idea.
Correct! There are two reasons the beach has eroded: 1) they cut down the old-growth trees that were acting as a barrier to erosion, and 2) global warming is causing the thermal expansion of the oceans worldwide, leading to an increase in beach erosion (and it will only get worse in the future). The good news for those who support the project is that it will bring them big money over a long period of time. Money will be spent on a project that will initially look good. But wave action will destroy what initially looked like a successful project, requiring even more money to fix the problem. The cash registers are already ringing. I doubt they will even take the time to consult with beach erosion experts.

These repeated warnings of dire consequences from the red shirts have a whiff of desperation about them. They are in a corner and seem to know this. They have lost the battle of numbers because their core support is not motivated and seems divided. The momentum and the passion is with the other side. If the army took over tomorrow i doubt there would be much more than a few squeals. Time will tell i suppose.
The only squeals will be from the yellow pigs when they lose the next Election.....you can bank on that

What self-styled "monk" employs violent thugs?
a non-monk.

So the don't attack Reds but they sure attack everyone else........come on Yellow Bellies defend their actions

what morons... just when we think HOORAY they stand up and have balls... they cower to the fake monk in case they get 'bad luck'
Thailand is a country full of 12 year olds
"Pleased with the gesture, Buddha Issara accepted the apology" PATHETIC
The Police got the last laugh......they were only Security Guards...not real Police

No wonder the thai people are so disillusioned with the conflicting statements coming from this bloke!
Yesterday he stated that a coup was not the answer.
It's starting to look like the faceless yellows are slowly getting there way.
All this crap about charging sutep and freezing his assets has gone far to long now and he is a protected species allowed to carry on with what ever means he likes to divide the country and take it to the brink.
And surprisingly judging by so of the posts on here over the last few months people are actually hoping for this lunatic fanatic to get his way,
Shame!
you know the saying..."Birds of a Feather Flock Together"
Same goes for a Lunatic or a better term batshit crazy

i think a coup may happen but only if a lot of reds turn up in bkk i dont know how many were at there rally yesterday...anyone..
Millions

Huh...You lost me with that last sentence. It's so clear why some of you are so supportive of this guy -- not.
Suthep may well be a nut, he may well be all you say, without a person like this to do something what on earth will this Land be like. Go think, if it was a jelly fish opposing the wrongs I would support it's healthy, YOU ????
Because my reply was to another--but no problem, My meaning was no matter who or what thing was in Sutheps shoes I would support whoever was against the wrongs---easy really. it is healthy in my mind to think this way, other posters think I am a crazy Suthep supporter and I can do nothing about their denial and PTP propaganda.
I can support that.....but only leave off the PTP Propaganda....because nothing but Propaganda coming from both sides.
-
That nut case is so full of it. Democrat for sure just like the Libturds back in the States....his word is the only word...BS.

How comes so many new user, who know everything so well?
Or are they reincarnations of others?
You do realize people can live in Thailand for years without posting daily on a forum full of negative grumpy folks, right?
Some might be active on ajarn, some might prefer the teak door for being more laid-back and less nazi with rules and banning folks for no obvious reasons (like, this guy don't like the beer place I support, so let's ban the balls out of him a la Suthep style... Or Thaksin for that matter...)
You might be surprised if knowing how many westerners living here, speaking Thai fluently and who couldn't care less about the opinions of most super-members of this exclusive Thaivisa club forum, laughing at all the ridiculous know-it-all drunkards hanging around throwing garbage at eachother...
Nevertheless, the country is in a difficult situation. Perhaps makes some people want to just utter their voice and vent their annoyance as well...
hell.... I've been banned maybe 3 times... "for life"
I keep coming back to stir the pot.

Where have the authorities suddenly got the balls to respond as required against threats and intimidation?
About time, well done.
Animals. out right animals.
The police is suppose to protect civilian and religious leaders, not hurt them.
What a barbaric act.
The protesters came in peace and without weapon.
Nothing Peaceful about this So-Called Monk.
