Has anyone has walked into the up and over garage door or something else at eye level and which is not seen. This is a real danger in TH just walking down the street.

Lol. By the end of next month tourists will be allowed back in full force. 100%
Maybe tourists from selected covid-19 free countries will be allowed in but can there be that many kiwis or aussies clamouring to get into Thailand ? Unless they have a partner. Let's see,

And how much did the City Council pay for this feasibilty study by architects who have drawn their inspiration from Tomorrowland. I really do think planners should ask visitors to Thailand what they want and expect from a so-called tropical paradise steeped in beauty and tradition.

I can remember an Englishman telling me to be born British is to win the lottery of life. I responded Australians are born without class distinctions.
I do believe Cecil Rhodes said something like that. To be born an Australian is also a very beautiful thing considering your western culture and population density.

What kind of market research does it take to understand what an average tourist expects to find when visiting Thailand ? Some acknowledgement of traditional thai architecture at least. Not some space age lunar landscape.

Some very despondant comments but looks accurate. As Iran reports second wave of Covid, selective entry seems most likely. The number of people waiting to get back to their partners and family is tragic.

I just don't know how any of the many tourists have time to go to the beach after visiting the many municipal parks and gardens, museums, art galleries and theatres.

i found one of the illusive health certificates inside a chocolate bar with a gold wrapper.
My thoughts exactly, the elusive health certificate, and also the insurance that covers Covid-19. More hoops to jump through than a dogs agility course.

I'm back here in the UK and very happy with that. Thailand is for thai people, maybe you forgot that. Political change is still by the ballot box here.

As I could not board my flight back in March I'm stuck here in UK pondering on the merits of the Chancellor of the Exchequer who has genorously put us in £300 billion plus of debt to support people through this lockdown on top of the all embracing welfare state and the Nhs. In comparison Thailand travels light and has a more resilient currency.

The Chinese will not be back anytime soon. Read the international press .... The authorities are trying to stop a second wave and already there are cases in Wuhan. They aim to test 11 million people in 10 days. The second wave of the Spanish flu was the deadliest. This is not not over, until it is over.
All the more reason to allow them to go on holiday me-thinks, spread it around and ruin other economies.

Thailand is part of the Belt and road initiative it would seem.

This is a good thing in my opinion Thailand has been treating foreigners really badly for a while now. we have been forced to put up with increasing xenophobia in recent years along with an increase in crazy immigration rules that have made many feel unwelcome and quite frankly making Thailand not as attractive as it used to be as a hassle free tourist destination.
Lets hope that when less of tourists show up this year they will be humbled a bit and realise that they will need to be more fair in order to win the tourists back I'm hoping that in their absence they will begin to see the benefits that foreigners bring more clearly.
misterjames, I would love to think thing will change in our favour but in view of the complacent way people have been left to rot with no financial support or food vouchers etc in the lockdown I don't see it somehow.

So its 5 months since I've seen my long time partner. Notwithstanding the resumption of flights schedules I await the stringent requirements that will be inposed.

Lets remember, working class thais have been hit hard now and it's not just about food to survive. The stress for those struggling to pay the rent etc. A kind gesture from this farang.

misterjames, quite correct very difficult to make visa applications or travel around the country. Will all that disappear ? I doubt it. And of course the teflon coated thai baht deters many people.

I can only assume farangs threw all this garbage into the sea previously, and now it has washed up on Bang saen beach. LOL.

What is the fine for a farang walking on the beach without a face mask after 10pm - 4am ?

What does that have to do with this man's death? Bit off topic, wouldn't you say?
A stab at establishing a motive for this crime I think !

Now the pandemic is fading out and next they want to vaccine us and implant us with a microchip! Most will be opposed to this and resist the fear driven temptation! However the CDC and WHO are saying very clearly..."Beware of the second wave" coming in November! This new wave will create such fear and decide the undecided to get a vaccines! And those of us who still resist will be told it's mandatory or no new visa renewals! Welcome to the new life the globalist want to create for us to become serfs in the new world order! If you don't believe...ask Bill Gates about it...!
Sometime ago I read about stopping using cash and China seems to be leading on the way they use their mobiles for the smallest transaction. It's card only in Tesco now back here in UK.

I would have thought it's a long road to get internationsl approval for any new drug or vaccine.

Just 1 positive out of a population of 70 million....... the daily flatulence from the ministry!
Magical Thailand, next illusion feeding their own people.?
Maybe tomorrow they can go for zero positive from a total of 3 tested nationwide!! with a crowd of generals all back slapping pointing at a huge zero in congratulations.
What a photo op that would be along with some photos of the queueing Thais waiting for a food handout from a group of farangs!!
I had to login to agree with you. Anywhere else, leaders would worry about a hungry unemployed electorate and losing the next election.

We have all seen how the Chinese pay with phone. Here in the UK, a track & contact tracing app is here and in Europe. I bet this will come to Thailand before international arrivals start again. Meanwhile in Pattaya, its for the thais.
