Uhh yeah, pretty stupid.  Under "Price Display" choose "Total price per night" instead of "Base price per night".  Problem solved without all the whining and paranoia ????

Exactly. As a beach repair project it has been an ongoing disappointment, but as an economic stimulus program it's been an overwhelming success ???? 

To be fair, it barely ever rains in Thailand, so it's a bit unfair to expect the government to plan for every little unexpected mishap ???? 

From the headline I expected a testimonial for OnlyFans ????

Then I insisted and told her that the other staff said this would be possible. The gates of hell then opened wide ensuing with swearing in Thai, angry faces and what not. Eventually she said "I give you money back". I said I can just get other items instead but she insisted I just get the money & leave the shop, as a punishment for my wrongdoings.

 

I left determined not to place a foot in that shop again.

 

Moral of the story:

1. A reminder that foreigners are welcome in Thailand only while they're walking ATMs. If you're actually asking for something back, well...good luck.

2. 7-11 has ridiculous unwritten (at least in English) policies. Caveat emptor.

 

 

Oh for gosh sakes. It's a reminder that everything is computerized at 7-11 and the staff have no capacity to override the programing. Do you really think the computer knows you are a foreigner? ????

Which billionaires on the planet would fly in on their private jet to spend time in prison? None. The surprising thing is that anyone is surprised ????

Agree - I expect after Thaksin is pardoned and resumes control over Thai politics ????
