I have had similar problems in Hua Hin with mail from Australia and USA, with some mail (including packages) from the USA never arriving. My NAB account (since they took over CitiBank Australia) has been suspended also, as they have not accepted my reason for not having a Thai TIN. I have replied 4 times as to why I do not have a Thai TIN (do not have any accessable/taxable income above the tax free Baht 150,000 limit).

You may consult - Charles Rowland "Hutley's Australian Wills Precedents", Butterworths, Chatswood, 1994. This is the edition I have, I imagine it has been revised and updated. -

Sorry, I cannot answer your question, but I have a comment and a related question. Comment - in some countries, such as Australia, a marriage or a divorce invalidates any existing will in that country. Question - if I married in Thailand, would that automatically invalidate my Australian will? -

That is unfair. There have been many achievements, such as - Thailand is now the global hub of promised/imaginary hubs, - Thai economy is declining faster than previously, - An estimated 1 million Thais will be dropping out of school his year, - Household debt at a record high, - High number of factories closing, etc. - The promise to tax all expats has lead to an exodus of expats. -

Put it this way - if you happen to be an ethnic Hmong, for example, who was born in Thailand, whose parents were born in Thailand, whose grandparents were born in Thailand, there is a good chance that you are considered an alien, without Thai citizenship. If you are a white, you will most likely always be considered an alien, even if you as famous as the late Bruce Gaston. -

When you get cancer? Not, if you get cancer? If I get cancer, I shall be staying here, until I die, irrespective of the type of cancer and the stage of the cancer at diagnosis. In addition, if it is Stage 3+ cancer I shall most likely decline treatment, after I have done adequate research of the contemporary oncology literature on the specific type of cancer which I may have. -
My recommendation - follow Sheryl's advice, closely. I have had prostrate issues for about 6-7 years. I have been seeing two very good urologists at my local government hospital, both of who provided similar advice as Sheryl.

It is not just Pattaya, the same applies in any area with a high proportion of (foreign) tourists. Until the higher authorities do something about the various "marfia" groups controlling these "taxi" groups, nothing will change ... but .... TIT and most Thais know that the "bosses" of various marfia groups are in government and parliament. -

The TCT has a reality check!!! Most Thai people I know, who are not government officials, do not have holidays. They cannot afford to have holidays due to their low wages; any proposed wage increases are not supported by big business and employer groups. Many Thais, ever some government officials I know, are working 2-3 jobs just to make ends meet. -

For me, there are two points here. Firstly, the powers that be in government (and the Bangkok-based bureaucrats) do not care about the plight of Thai people. Keep the masses poor and ignorant, easier for the local and national power elite to control them. Secondly, increasingly many Thais are realising that finishing high school or university does not deliver a "good" job. Many employers of "blue" collar workers would prefer to employ a cheaper foreign/migrant worker than a local. Completing a general university degree (unless in medical sciences) also does not deliver a "good" job. I cannot remember the number of young Thais I have talked to who finish university and end up working in a 711 shop, Lotus's store, Makro, sales assistant in a mall shop, etc. and know of others who after 4 years of university study work in "nail shops", bars, etc. -
