Now unsure what "Travel card" means, so better delete my post until that's clarified.

Or you could get Android dashboard for your car, something powerful (processor and RAM wise) and load Apple Music directly on it.

A bit more flesh: Two passenger planes came into contact on a taxiway at Tokyo's Haneda Airport on Saturday. No injuries were reported. Transport ministry and airline officials say an aircraft operated by Taiwan's Eva Air, which was stationary on a taxiway, and a Thai Airways plane, which was passing behind it, made physical contact at around 11 a.m. The horizontal tail of the Eva Air jet and one wing of the Thai Airways plane were partly damaged. A total of 207 passengers and crew members were on the Eva Air aircraft, while the Thai Airways jet was carrying 264 people. Footage from an NHK camera shows the Thai jet coming to a halt after passing behind the Eva Air plane at around 11 a.m. https://www3.nhk.or.jp/nhkworld/en/news/20230610_15/

Well... the old man threatening to kill anyone touching his criminal son getting killed by his son who is then arrested, possibly getting death penalty would take 2 criminals off the streets. I would say this is good news. -

The future of masking -- will it ever end?
tomazbodner replied to ultramarine's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
OP is from Canada, so equivalent of Thailand's air quality could now be "smelled" at his home turf as well, possibly illustrating the reasoning behind wearing pollution masks. -
The future of masking -- will it ever end?
tomazbodner replied to ultramarine's topic in COVID-19 Coronavirus
If YOU are sick, you put on the mask to minimize risks of others getting infected with whatever bug you're exhaling. If you are in a place where people could have serious consequences when infected, you wear mask to minimize chances of them getting anything from you, like for example inside hospitals. When air quality outside is horrid like in Canada, you put on a good mask to prevent toxic particles ruining your lungs and giving you lung cancer over time. How hard is that to understand? Especially in country that caused entire northern Americas to choke in smoke for the past month+, -
Haven't been there in ages, but second hand phone shops were plenty in MBK and usually several in every mall in Bangkok. Fortune Town was also full of them. Fortune was also having lots of computer shops, with many selling second hand stuff. Seems Pantip has gone Dodo... there's some clothing market there now. No idea about second hand clothing. There's Pratunam (Platinum and the buildings and market across from it) that are selling lots of clothing as there is a market near Prince Palace hotel... can't remember what it's called, but it's wholesale market next to the khlong. Again, no idea if there's any second hand stuff there or only new. Else go to kaidee.com and check out what's for sale there.

Well technically that's not a TV, so he's fine! -
Agree with the rest of your post, so I'll only respond to the part quoted above: It was not about overcharging some tourists. It was about the mafia culture of the taxi drivers on Phuket, resorting to intimidation and violence against anyone, including legal competition, to protect their turf. Blocking hotel entrances, blocking ports, blocking airport exits, forcefully removing passengers, beating up drivers and their vehicles. Attacking the public airport bus and beating up the driver. That is NOT NORMAL. And it should not be tolerated in a civilized society.

Using 110V Electronics in Thailand?
tomazbodner replied to Danderman123's topic in The Electrical Forum
That was an example photo of how approximately they look like. Mine is grounded and has 3 pin plug, but of the 2 sockets, one is 100V US-stype only, and the other is same as input, 220V, with universal plug. Different models will have different configurations. -
Using 110V Electronics in Thailand?
tomazbodner replied to Danderman123's topic in The Electrical Forum
50W 220-240 to 100-120V converters are very cheap and small, and just plug into the socket, then you plug the appliance into them. 100V ones are a lot harder to find. I have several japanese appliances (as they were only made for Japanese market and there was never an international version) and for those I use a rather large 500W transformer from 220/230/240V (selectable) to 100V. It is a very hefty box, and cost me about 3000 baht each at PowerMall in Paragon. So far those boxes have been used for many years, non stop, and there is yet to be any problem with them. They might be available online. -
According to their foreign ministry websites, passport to enter Cambodia must be valid for "a minimum of 6 months" and Laos, passport must be valid "at least 6 months on day of entry". That would likely mean that if you tried, you'd be rejected unless you're lucky enough to see a blind immigration officer. Also another thing - even if you managed to get there somehow - make sure you could re-enter Thailand with a passport that expires in less than 6 months. As visa on arrival or visa exempt you could not. And if you apply for a visa in Laos or Cambodia, I think it's also requirement that passport outlasts visa and is valid at least 6 months.

Does Voltaren/diclofenac require prescription in Thailand?
tomazbodner replied to cdemundo's topic in Health and Medicine
Got Voltaren from Watsons' pharmacist without prescription. Got lots of stuff that would 100% surely require prescription in Europe from Diamond Pharmacy in front of Siriraj hospital. Of course, my doctor was fuming as Diamond is at least 5-10x cheaper than hospital pharmacy (even when excluding the outpatient fees). -
Military-backed senators refuse to back MFP form a government
tomazbodner replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
They say keep friends close but enemies even closer. Invite Prayuth to join coalition and get that senator approvals, then appoint him Minister for Military Procurement Affairs or something like that. That way you take away the power of criticism (he can't complain about government as he's part of it), while at the same time keeping him in control by giving him a post with basically no power. Replace Prayuth with any other name that would achieve the same. Prawit. Anutin. Whoever. -
