  1. Close the windows! Else vacuum sensor at the back. This is not normal for filter running in (seems Air Purifier Pro) up to 60m2 space, if 450 AQI outside it should bring it down to 30-50 AQI inside with leaky Thai windows...
  2. I see an excellent advice to ditch the masks for people in Chiang Rai province. I guess this article comes with sponsorship from some funeral services? Maybe this one?
  3. I call that a nose job... On a serious note: The Boeing 747 was being taxied on Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) airport from a hangar toward a departure gate to board 319 passengers for Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), when the crew lost directional control of the plane and it entered a monsoon drainage ditch, resulting in serious damage to the forward air frame/nose section. None of the six crew members aboard were seriously injured. The aircraft was being moved by a maintenance crew, who taxied using only the no.1 and no.4 engines, apparently not realizing that the aircraft's braking system is powered by hydraulic pumps powered by engines no.2 and no.3 only.
  4. Boy and girl are sitting on a bench and watch the Moon and the stars, when all of a sudden the boy turns to the girl and says: Darling... hmm, I don't know how to say... I don't know if you would.... if you...." The girl interrupts him:"Of course, dear. No need to be shy. I am waiting for these words of yours entire evening already. Of course we can make out!" Boy:"Oh no, that's not what I meant. I wanted to ask you if I could borrow 100$?" Girl:"How dare you! We barely know each other!!" Fetching my coat...
  5. Listen man... when you go fishing, you can't catch all the fish in the ocean, can you?
  6. Taxi driver might have license to legally operate taxi but that doesn't give him rights to assault others. By assaulting others, he is demonstrating that he is a danger to his passengers and others, and his license should be immediately revoked. If karma holds, he should then be assaulted by legal taxi driver for taking passenger in his illegal, black plate, cab.
  7. Hope anyone going there has health insurance... life assurance, so at least family members can benefit from traveler's demise.
  8. Steals half a million baht and buys a Casio. Epic! PS: I just got a renewed admiration for this company after Shakira split with her hubby.
  9. For anyone in Bangkok, MEA has a phone app in which you can see invoice, past consumption, comparison with previous year, and pay the bills with credit card. I use Android one but guess iOS app exists also.
  10. Actually the other way around. The sidelined one is the "active" post...
  11. Grab usually comes. Bolt is cheaper, but there are fewer of them, tend to cancel if better offer comes along, and look like drivers who could not pass the requirements to drive for any other company. I stick to Grab now.
  12. Use Extended screen to second monitor. Imagine the monitors top aligned... so moving mouse from one to the other may look weird, like cursor not moving in certain parts of the screen, but moving to where you have them "continuing" will work. I have a similar setup with 2 different resolutions and it's working OK.
  13. https://www.ana.co.jp/en/jp/topics/coronavirus-travel-information/immigration/#tab_title_01 From ANA. In a gist, for transit passengers, not required. For those wishing to enter Japan, you need vaccination certificate.
  14. Never had Beko aircon, and in Europe their reputation is not great. But their fridge (alas not low end model) has so far been great. At condo we have many Beko washing machines and dryers. Never heard of any problems with them, and they are running a lot. They are modified to some application to pay for cycles, and probably regularly serviced, but if they were rubbish our app would be full of complaints and there are none. So it's not a noname brand, and some of their stuff is quite good. Also, it's made in Thailand so spare parts are easy to get hold of. That said, if I had LG and Beko at the same price in front of me, I'd choose LG.
  15. Baiyoke 2 = Baiyoke Sky. If the name of building is correct, there are no rooms there until floor 20 or so. I think floor 17 is a fruit buffet and golf course, and 18 is reception and lobby... surely no rooms below that. Unless this is Baiyoke 1 = Baiyoke Suites. There they have rooms on lower floors, but each room also has a large balcony. Maybe story mentions wrong building?
  16. If that wasn't same hotel, how does that matter? But just thinking... lobby is on 18? 19? floor? Below that is just parking lot, no hotel rooms. So he could have only fallen off the parking lot. I've never seen a hotel guest staying there (as most don't arrive by their own cars) wandering around parking lot. Mostly that's just those who come with car for dinner buffet, etc. I've stayed in Baiyoke Sky before and my suite while having large windows, had no balcony. None of the higher floors do, except that Balcony restaurant and the roof rotating platform. As such the only place where he could have fallen off from is the parking lot.
  17. Routers would change channel when they detect too much interference on channel used previously. Mac Mini from 2012 only supports some bands, not all, so it's possible router changed to channel that your Mac doesn't support.
  18. I have i7 Mac Mini 2012 on the desk in front of me, and can notice that it has limit to which channels it supports. 5G routers (esp. Chinese ones) allow wider frequency ranges than what your Mac can connect to. But you say that you were able to successfully connect before but now you no longer can. So maybe you could go to Settings, then Network: -> Choose Wifi on the left and select Advanced in bottom right: Then click on the network names in the "Preferred Networks" window under Wi-Fi tab, and click on Minus under the list to remove them. Reboot the Mac, and try to connect again.
