  1. Ratchaburi have accepted the GPS coordinates written on the back of the TM7 for my last two extensions. Before that they didn't require anything.
  2. It appears you have an infestation of mango bark boring beetle larvae. Not a lot you can do about it as far as I know. I have occasionally had success cutting into the bark and killing the larvae, they feed just under the bark and chew holes into the trunk. Had a few trees die because of them. Some YouTube videos from India on how to try and deal with them. Normally the tree kills them off before they take a serious hold, beige coloured sap from a spot on the trunk is an indicator that the tree has stopped an attack.
  3. A few years back, but when I went to immigration to get the stamps transferred to my new passport I asked if they required another TM30 to be done. They said no. I have had no problems with online 90 day reports or extension renewals.
  4. I made pizza when I first bought it but can't be bothered getting all the toppings and sauce when I can easily get one delivered. Decent bread ,on the other hand, is hard to come by locally.
  5. Sorry, that should be SHARP, not Samsung. Too late to edit.
  6. I've got a Samsung EO-42K fan oven. Had it about five years. Only use it for bread and reheating pizza.
  7. In the comments section it says that you need to press and hold the vertical swing button for three seconds till you hear a beep.
  8. I am 68kg, 32 waist. Below are my size XL shorts. The waistband is elastic. Where is there a standard for how much a waistband is meant to stretch for size measurement?
  9. Coffee production in Thailand is also decreasing which will lead to importing 80,000 tonnes of coffee this year.
  10. They are not criminals until they have been convicted in a court of law. Everyone in the US has the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.
  11. Didn't they Grandfather everyone who was already on an extension to the previous financial requirement last time there was an increase?
  12. A cardboard box works as well.
  13. The article claims the deal was signed during the Singapore Airshow. The last show was in Feb 2024 and the next is in Feb 2026. Seems this deal had nothing to do with Trump's tariffs. The Thais seem to be playing Trump.
  14. How often do you call? I call my bank three or four times a year and just use the 003 prefix with AIS. For relatives we all have WhatsApp.
  15. Ford Ranger Raptor price in Thailand 1.8 million baht, price in UK 2.5 million baht. Depends which country you are leaving in order to retire here and what vehicle you want to buy.
  16. So a wealthy country with a consumer base of 350 million people has a trade deficit with a poor country with a consumer base of 70 million people? No surprise there.
  17. Got a big garden. 30 mango trees, 10 jackfruit trees, several citrus trees, plums, guava, santol, fig and numerous bananas. More than enough excersise just trying to keep it relatively tidy.
  18. My bank never used to need the card to be activated until last year, and it can only be activated in a UK ATM for that bank (Lloyds). Didn't find out till after my sister had forwarded it to me. PIN numbers have also changed after being the same for 40 odd years. Had to cancel the card and get another one sent to her. She activated it and I told her to keep hold of the card this time. All the card details are on my bank app so don't really need the physical card with me.
  19. If you think nothing has changed in decades then you have not actually been here for decades. Monumental changes since I first visited in 1988.
  20. I bought one from Lazada awhile back, came with a zinc strip. Charged via USB. I used it to make a couple of battery packs for a cordless hedge trimmer. Picture below as the seller I got it from no longer exists. I also got the connecting strips from Lazada.
  21. Thailand is no different to anywhere else. If I legally owe tax here I pay it, if not I don't. Do you pay tax on your substantial Thai bank accounts?
  22. Just buy some toilet cleaner. ARO brand in Makro is 22% hydrochloric acid. Make sure you dilute it as at 22% it melts Scotchbrite. Vixol is a name brand at about 11% and Tesco had their own brand at about 14% I think.
