  1. The police are involved, the money is evidence. They are probably best doing nothing with the money until the investigation is concluded and the police determine where the money should be.
  2. LG had a major problem with what are called linear compressors which they started using in their fridges. Multiple lawsuits in the US. They updated them in 2018 but still had problems. In 2022 they went back to using standard compressors. I have a Samsung that must be close to 20 years old, only issue is the door seals have becomea bit stiff. Have an 11 year old Mitsubish that had an issue a few years ago with water leaking, left it to defrost totally and that seemed to fix it so possiblt the water drain got clogged up with ice and dust. Also have a Toshiba that is about 4 years old that has had no issues.
  3. Try Gillette Blue 3. 60 baht for a pack of three in Makro.
  4. Not sure what you mean. I get the compulsory government insurance at one of the local vehicle inspection places and the second class insurance on Roojai. I used to go to the local office of an insurance company for the optional insurance but find it more convenient with Roojai now.
  5. Did you really? Compulsory insurance is 645 baht. Second class insurance on my bike cost 2,400 baht. 500,000 baht for each injured person, 10,000,000 baht maximum for each accident and 600,000 baht for property damage. You need to change insurance companies.
  6. Yes it does as long as it complies with Thai laws.
  7. I hear Rooney is avaliable if you need a new manager.
  8. So now that the new year is here and no new law has been passed does that mean tax will only be due on assessable money bought into Thailand in 2024? Which tax form should be used, PMD90 or PND91?
  9. The anti-vax crowd need to wake up, it's being pushed by Big Pharma. They no longer make money out of vaccine doses so are spreading the anti- vax message to fuel large outbreaks of such things as polio, measles, tuberculosis and maybe even smallpox. More money to be made from large outbreaks and the medication required to treat the symptoms.
  10. At least Trump and Mandelson will be able to reminisce about an old acquaintance they both knew.
  11. He should get on well with J.D. Vance, their historical views on Trump seem to be fairly similar.
  12. Baguettes with sesame seeds.
  13. That's why I said the figure of 40%, which is what seems to be getting social media in a tizzy, was from a X by Musk. Are you saying the social media frenzy was over a raise of 4% which would be their first raise since 2009? Do you consider 4% over the last 15 years to be a vast increase in pay? Maybe you are getting several different reports confused?
  14. AI got it wrong. Questioning the credibility of MSM after this OP is a joke. The 40% came from an X (tweet) by Musk, there is no truth to it. Congress have not had a raise since 2009, they voted not to recieve the raises that were due. This year the raise would be 3.8% if they chose to take one. Begs the question to what the AI actually reviewed.
  15. Pay the electricity standing charge by direct debit from your BBL account and your name will appear on the receipt that comes in the post. Lloyds offshore accepted that from me. Fairly sure that if you request a six month statement from BBL your address will appear on that as well.
  16. Bob is back on the horse at last!
  17. MAGA had all those Leftie tears to drink in but it didn't take Joe long to get the MAGA tears flowing again. Well played Biden.
  18. You can't wrap your head around it because it isn't true. Post a link that proves the "lefties" have stopped checks at all the borders and are just letting people in.
  19. Make sure you stay hydrated. My father was in and out of hospital due to constipation when he was in his eighties, the cause was always due to not staying hydrated.
  20. What link did you read? The link is to a statement made in October 2024 about a proposed new bill called the DWP Fraud, error and debt bill. As I stated, I doubt whether they will be able to pass it into law by January. As I also stated, the videos seem to be about a bill that died in the House of Lords in April due to the election.
  21. Think these videos are referring to the bill that was stalled in the House of Lords when the election took place so is now dead. The current government is reintroducing it as the DWP Fraud, error and debt bill which was announced in October. Doubt that it will be passed by the end of the year. https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statements/detail/2024-10-08/hcws114
  22. Local police have 160 and 300cc bikes, highway police have 1,000cc bikes.
  23. Did you buy the Rolexes from Bob when he left?
  24. I totally agree that private hospitals are way more expensive for meds than a pharmacy, that is why I specified government hospitals. All the medications I get from the government hospital are significantly cheaper.
  25. Not true. Meds from a government hospital are often significantly cheaper than a pharmacy. Monthly supply for me is 300 baht from the hospital and 850 baht in a pharmacy.
