  1. It’s a baby. Ever notice how the terminology changes depending on whether the parents want it or not? All through pregnancy, the parents who want it call it “the baby”. “Honey, the test is positive, our baby is beginning to grow inside me. We’re going to be parents. Let’s call everyone and celebrate. I’m so happy” And later,..”Put your hand here honey, you can feel the baby move”. “Yes honey, I’m awake…our baby is very active.” On the other hand, if a woman DOES NOT want it…..it’s not a baby anymore. It’s just an embryo or a fetus, the “product of conception” an “it” or a “thing” to be ripped out and disposed of in a special furnace as medical waste. Changing the words you use, in order to dehumanize the baby, helps to relieve the well deserved feeling of guilt in murdering it.
  2. I agree with you. My belief is that once the brain turns on and brain waves can be detected, you’re dealing with an individual SENTIENT human being. At that point, aborting the baby is MURDER. Sad reflection on Thailand, a Theravada Buddhist country. So much for the First Precept. ???????? ???????? ???????? ☸️ Namo Buddhaya
  3. An Irish Shillelagh has more reach….and can break an arm or put a criminal out with the knobby end contacting the head, leaving the perp with a concussion and cracked skull. It has a long successful history in fights. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shillelagh
  4. .380 ACP will do the job. But then so will a nice walking stick. The tough rowdy Irish would use a special walking stick called a shillelagh. Used for walking and also as a club or cudgel in fights. Apparently very effective.
  5. Carry one of these hidden under your shirt tucked behind your belt. Learn how to use it.
  6. Sick, twisted evil. Only in…….__________ ! (Fill in the blank)
  7. You think people with a.m./f.m./ s.w. world general coverage receivers have underground bunkers ? LOL ????????
  8. Who’s talking double D batteries? My Kaito KA1102 and Eton E100 run off of AA batteries. They are portable radios. The Eton can fit in a regular size pocket. The Kaito KA1102 in a bit larger pocket. I use AA Eveready Lithiums in them. Where would you have difficulty finding AA’s ? They’re everywhere.
  9. The Kaito KA1102 is quite sensitive on a.m. (mw) and f.m. for local within a few hundred miles, and all the shortwave bands and between bands for world wide information…. Including S.S.B. Excellent back up for when TSHTF. I have two of them. One kept in a military type zippered case, in a new, never used paint can with spare batteries and additional active antenna and spare sets of AA Lithiums. E.M.P. Faraday cage. The little Eton E100 is smaller…. also sensitive. Gets a.m. and f.m. and continuous S.W. also.. but doesn’t get SSB.
  10. What will you do if cell and Wi-Fi and TV signal get knocked out? Where will you get your information from? Your iPhone ends up being an expensive paperweight.
  11. There is more than just one transmitter. I receive all kinds of stations on a.m./f.m./s.w.
  12. I’ve always had a few a.m./f.m./s.w. transistor radios around. Using Eveready Lithium AA batteries. And I have always kept several sets of extra batteries. My radios can run for months on and off, on a set of batteries. Also receiving shortwave..they can pick up signals around the world. Especially if you connect an extra 20 or 30 feet of wire to the antenna, or plug an extension antenna in. Kaito KA1102. And Eton E100 Great little radios. And the Kaito also gets single side band (SSB) on shortwave. They don’t make them anymore unfortunately. I keep mine in protective zipper cases that fit them snuggly. They’re like brand new. Absolutely a great source of information in the event of disaster.
  13. If you’re double shotted and double or triple boosted…there should be no problem. And if you’ve had Covid…(I have…like a common cold. Didn’t even slow me down at 70 years of age. Two positive Covid RAT tests),,, It’s time to get back to regular life. Me? I’m pro-vaccine, and anti-mask.
  14. My Buddha……are they EVER going to let this go…..? ?
  15. If he doesn’t know how to drive on a wet road, then he should not be behind the wheel.
  16. If they are just common house centipedes, we ignore them. They eat the bad bugs we don’t want around. But their large cousins….no… don’t want them. They can bite/sting. House centipedes are rarely able to puncture our skin.
  17. Oh…. I got body shivers and my blood pressure went up when I saw this creature.
  18. Even if the old guy can’t support his 17 or 18 year old new wife and her family….. at least having enough for his beer and cigarettes will take care of those two important things.
  19. Lord Buddha is beyond this world. He can not save us from dying using miracles like a Jesus or a god or goddesss. We must save ourselves using our common sense, and following common sense laws. We can follow Lord Buddha’s teachings. The Dhamma. Praying for miracles or expecting amulets to protect us, is not Buddhism. It’s superstition…even when Buddhists do it.
  20. Royalty have historically been allowed to have a much greater age difference between the man and the girl than commoners have. It’s normal and okay for them. They are elites. But regular men and women should be older and closer in age. We are not royalty.
  21. I think Pukon is village wedding ceremony with blessing of the couple by Buddhist monks from the local temple. (blessing of the couple and families only. Monks do not perform official legal recognized wedding) But many villages and people accept that as perfectly okay to begin life together as a couple and start a family.
  22. Fishing on camping trips in northern Ontario, Canada with my father and grandfather, we would catch catfish that were infected with lots of little black worms. You could see them moving around when you prepared the fish. My dad and grandfather said “No problem. We just make sure they are well fried. Cooked at high heat all the way through. And after frying, you couldn’t really see the worms anymore either. Tasted great drizzled with a little lemon juice….never got sick or infected.
  23. Amazing story. You’re lucky to be alive, as am I. Good luck and I wish many many more years for you. I hope to be back in southeast Asian in Spring, 2023. My cardiologist has given me the green light to fly wherever I want. I just need my meds with me. She said if I can’t find them, start cutting them and taper off slowly. Don’t just suddenly stop. But I know I can get them in Cambodia and Thailand. Best wishes to you and your family. ???????? ☸️
  24. We are all guessing and really don’t know. But I do know that my warning signs that my cardiac arteries were clogging up were three bad dizzy spells were I was pretty sure I was going to pass out. After the third dizzy spell, I went to the hospital and they started doing scans and blood work, xRays, MRI with radioactive dye and everything. They found my arteries were 85% - 90% clogged. I had to get Quadruple Cardiac Artery Bypass Surgery. They told me I was lucky I caught it before I had a heart attack. So I have had no heart damage thankfully. Lots of things can make you look drunk before you die. We don’t know what was wrong with him.
