Impeached this bunch of EC officials. Then possibly there is a chance that the EC will do something with new non partisan officials. Or else this is an exercise in futility.

People get expelled from political parties all over the world for not towing the party line. Some times they're censured, sometimes loose position or sometimes kicked out.
If you're kicked out in the UK you don't loose your seat in the House unless you resign. You can choose not to resign and stay on as an independent to the next GE. Wonder how it works here?
Not exactly correct. MPs not towing party line in debates are quite common. In Singapore, the PM asked for encourages MPs to speak their mind in the population paper debate. However if this is a whipped vote, then the MP who don't toe party line will be asked to resign. So it depends on whether the voting for the PM was a whipped vote. I would think UK will be the same.

The real truth as to why the PDRC spearheaded the protest. It was all for financial rewards; probably promised by the junta. It was all planned and they are doing it for the money.

Chlorpyrifos pesticide was found in Chiang Mai tourist death hotel and still not banned. Amazing.

Wissanu, however, also warned that if anything went wrong, Prayut would inevitably be affected as a party executive. Thus, the general should also plan a way out in case of an emergency, the deputy advised.
So he is still a General. If things don't go well, he just switch back from politician to General. How convenient. Shouldn't he resign himself from the military before he take up the role of a politician?

The ACT, he said, has come up with a six-point recommendation to be proposed to the new government for consideration.
ACT should add another recommendation for the government to come clean on all the corruption graft probes involving Prawit, Preechai, Anupong and the prime minister himself. A transparent investigation to clear their alleged corruption regarding unusual wealth will enhance credibility of this government. All for their good. ????

Criticizing the Junta whilst trying to sanitize previous corrupt civilian regimes isn't moving on. It's narrowing the mind.
You really has became a junta recalcitrant. Shin corruption and nepotism were dealt with some interpretations from the court, assets seized and even forcefully removed. Your dream junta team with full frontal corruptions is untouchable. And those appointed crony nepotistic senators got your pal another 4 years. Your moral compass need calibrating.

Its bad then and its bad now. You got bad moral judgement as you seem to think its ok in one instance and not in the other. Nepotism is bad period.
Others have move away from the but but rebuttal but not you. Moreover I don’t think you fully understand the severity of a crony upper house that resulted in the crook appointment of the Prime Minister. Nepotism is bad but this is toxic.

It was not good back then, and it is not good now, worse maybe even as you said they have more power. But its stupid to think an other government would do it any different.
Just one example (and I could write page after page) was all those committees with family members on them getting a salary (was discussed a lot on this web board)
The junta are crooks and nepotism rules but the previous government had massive nepotism problems too. If you deny that then i doubt you have been living in Thailand.
Massive nepotism! So this mother of all nepotism where a Prime Minister was grossly selected was to your eyes equal to past nepotism. You really have a poor sense of moral judgement.

9 minutes ago, robblok said:No need to come up with it I am sure you remember the saga's of nepotism with other governments. Nepotism has always ruled Thailand and its disgusting. I wonder if we will ever see a real change. I doubt it.
Other governments don't have a fully appointed senators and with reserved places for military generals. Take for example the 1997 constitution, all senators are elected. Even the 2007 constitution has 50% elected senators while the other 50% were selected by a National and Provincial Selection Committee and the EC involved in the appointment. The junta ripped the 2007 constitution and installed the highly controversial amendment for full appointment and the appointment committee made up of NCPO inner circle. This is totally corruption beyond all scope.

Why bother reporting anything relating to government policy?
The PM can and will do what ever he wishes.
Kind of like a one man wrecking machine. Coup, 44, rigged election, cabinet decision etc he done it all. Frank's song comes quickly to mind.

Prerogative of the House speaker to recognize the compliant from the members. I applaud Chuan's decision to accept the complaint and forwarding it to the CC. If the speaker is from PPRP, the complaint for sure will not be taken up.

Why wait PAD. Corruption is staring at you in the form of blatant corruption by the military and the same ministers are still in the next cabinet. Cheap talk by the PAD who like the PDRC has little principle.

Political expediency at play by the court once again. Rule of law will have to stand in queue.

The only thing Prayut may have to worry about is the national budget bill,
I see budget impasse can possibly force an election. If some of the disgruntled Dem MPs and renegade PPRP MPs don't toe party line, the narrow lower house advantage will be wipe out. If the budget hit a brick wall, the government will have no choice but hold election. The EC attempt to disqualify opposition MPs may come too late.
