If, some years from now, this turns out to be a sinister conspiracy to reverse
globalism, it will go down as one of the most diabolical but effective means

IS IT possible that the WHO and the media are spreading panick and fear from nothing?
i mean, what if the world did'nt do anything against this virus?
than few thousands or tens of thousands would get sick, and few hundreads
or few thousands will die, and that's it. than the virus will disapear with the dead.
and what if the virus will never disapear?
than countries will stay closed forever? people will stay home for decades?
i think that knowledge can also cause damages. the globalization, the spread
of news and the authority given to global organizations like the WHO might
be exaggerated. maybe they will cause damage and severe loss of life just because
of their over reactions. how many people will lose now their jobs, go bankrupt, even
homeless and hungry, just because of an unreal will to have power and control
over each and every tiny virus out there?
let the virus do it's job, infect those who needs to be infected, kill the
ones that need be killed, and let us go on with our lives !!
Think 14 century Black Plaque where there are no health institutions and media to disseminate real time information. 75-200 million deaths in Eurasia.

We arent talking about the US are we, even if its worth my time to respond to your childish trolling about Trump, which is ungrounded in reality.
We are talking about China, who bred and spread this particular disease. The Wuhan Virus. The world knows, even if the apologists and sycophants and haters don't.
Throw a punch but can’t take one. I don’t need to troll Trump. He is slipping and sliding each day from reality and so are his supporters. Each day humble pies have to be eaten for his false narratives and lies and made to walk back by facts and truths. Maybe you should too.

You mean a President that will continue to allow those revanchist murderous thugs that run China to continue their aggression without pushback?
Do you hate Trump that much that you will side with a dictatorship thats running concentration camps and harvesting organs?
This disease "crisis" is the fault of China and despite their sycophants hollering otherwise, the world wont forget it.
Doesn’t excuse US foreign policies resulting in deaths. Reckless Trump’s Middle East policies caused civilian casualties in Iraq and Syria to soar. Is it not that the Aids epidemic from west origin that spread worldwide. Diseases have no borders and trying to lay blame to stress a point is irresponsible and thoughtless.

Isnt that great for you. The more that die, the better your party's chances are in the election.
Wow.
On the contrary, Rep Ruben (D-AZ) announced on Tuesday that he will introduce a bill that would make Medicare cover testing for and treatment of C19 free to patients. Saving lives the practical way and not by continuous falsehood statements to blindside the people.

They're going to ask why on Earth didn't we do something about China's CCP before this mess? It's not like we didn't have warnings.
Same thoughts by the CCP as why on earth didn’t the Americans do something to elect a more competent and less lying President.

Speech written by StevenMiller as reported by the media. Sniping at Europe for failing to stop travel from China and taking about his marvelous 3 years of QE boost to the economy are all in order. Wonder what will his speech like without the script and will he still be shaking hands.

In a way I understand their behaviour. When you are on your later phases of your life. When you have "seen it all", what you are supposed to experience in life, then why not enjoy the last days of your life without too much worry? They are old and wise enough to understand that they all will die eventually.
I would compare this phenomenon to the people who have terminal cancer and who know they have only some months to live. The fat lady will sing, so why not to enjoy the life before the song of death?
I would have thought that they are wise enough to live well and long and realized that they are in the most vulnerable age group for fatalities and should be more careful. I sensed this is a case of obstinacy and misguidance by the President they support.

What is more worrying concerning the western world, is that the measurements taken by China can not be replicated in more independent minded western populations.
Italy has tried to close its borders and tell their people to stay in homes. The people don't really like nor follow these kind of advices.
Saw a segment of CNN report of a retirement home in Florida. The old folks between age 60-80 were shrugging off the virus seriousness and still gathered for their daily fun and games without protection nor elbow bum. They simply ignored the crisis. Most are Trump’s supporters. Serious case of ignorance is bliss.

Those countries that will survive this economic onslaught will be those who has low debts, high foreign reserves and enough of dry powder in their interest rate for eventualities. US, Europe (some) and Japan are extremely vulnerable to all these aspects. When the dust settle, we may see dollar collapse and lose its reserves currency status. I see a paradigm shift becoming real soon.

Like you, I have doubts about Putin's claim. He may be able to eek out a small profit from existing wells at $30, but I doubt that he can develop new fields, continue his military adventures in Syria and Ukraine, maintain a sufficient social safety net to keep average citizens content with his corrupt government, etc. without a significantly higher price.
Saudi Arabia can last longer with low oil prices, but they too have problems that require lots of oil money in the near to mid term in order to (maybe) achieve greater independence from oil money in the long term.
Saudi does have a production cost advantage as most of their fields are onshore. US productions are mainly from deep waters and shale which are much costly. Russia will probably able to survive on their onshore production and less from their Arctic fields which are high production cost. But you right that the low price will curtail investment in exploration and set off other problems.

KSA is going to run out of money much quicker than they run out of oil. They are trying to become more moderate but I can't see tourism replacing the shortfall. They will run into a credit crunch eventually as big modern American weapons require big, modern , dollars.Therein lies another problem if KSA and other middle eastern countries that centered their economies around oil and gas run out of money. The dramatic drop in their GDP will create a problem for the dollar. These countries oil companies are big buyer of US debts. If they are cash strapped, they will stop buying US debts and will cause the dollar to collapse. Gold and silver have been rising as investors are getting worrisome concern for the dollar. If they abandon the petrodollar, the US dollar will be destroyed.

Bernie is actually losing badly. A poll today shows Biden ahead of him nationally by 20 percent. Unless Bernie can pull a Biden South Carolina in Michigan it's almost over. I think there is a lack of appreciation that Biden's dramatic turnaround on super Tuesday was one of the most dramatic political turnaround surges n American history.
45 has certainly taken notice.
Just listen to a Dem Congress woman on CNN and she make a notable comment regarding poll in previous Michigan 2015 primary. Hillary was polled by a massive 21.4 points over Bernie. Bernie won subsequently. Will see Tuesday.

Sanders is the complete opposite of Trump ... but too old ... if he could be 20yrs younger ...
I like him , but I doubt his ideas will get him the POTUS job , americans are not so fond of socialism ,,, but the times are changing and everything would be better than another 4 yrs for the " chosen one " ...
Americans are not fond of free college, single payer healthcare, wealth redistribution, ending the Wall Street and billionaire greed and redistributive wealth and income, increase minimum wage, increasing estate tax and expanding social security tax. I am not too sure you right. I agree that anyone would be better than another 4 years for the self proclaimed chosen one. I wouldn’t count Bernie out for now.

If you followed the news you would know that.
If you listen to the full transcript, Trump didn’t made the decision for the passengers to disembark. He categorically off loaded the responsibility to Mike Pence.

Yeah nothing beats rooting for an economic crash that will punish millions of folks simply because of politics.
Bet you are waiting for a total disruption of life from the "virus" in order to win an election...
If only I have the power to root for boom or crush, I will be a billionaire. By the way, most Americans don’t own stock. 84%’of stock is owned by 10% of wealthy people and corporations. They invested greedily aided by Trump’s massive rate cut and innuendos and now will take a pay cut. They can easily afford.
