Paethongtarn Govt Expected to Last Full Term, Poll Indicates
Eric Loh replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Does sound unbelievable that should Paethongtarn served a full term, she will be only the second government in 92 years history since general election was permitted to complete 4 years. Coup governments do not count. It will do a world of good for Thailand economy to have a stable political environment for policies and investments. -
Neck to neck polls is actually good for the Harris/Waltz ticket as it will not permit complacency in the Dems voters mind and incentivize voters to turn out. It will forced Harris/Waltz to worked even harder. They have a large war chest that will allow anormous sums to be pumped into political advertising and even have extra for down-ballot races. They also have more staffs and volunteers on the ground giving them the advantage in the highly important ground battles. Hard lessons learned from Hillary's downfall - complacency.

Eric Loh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Still harping on loony Trump's wild de-bunked claim. Waltz didn't order Minnesota schools to put tampons in boy's bathrooms and Miinesota schools have came out to state that they don't provide tampons in boys'bathroom. -

Eric Loh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Biden undid the quid pro quo Trump’s policy on 23 Feb 2022 which was a day after Russia invasion. Biden with US allies prevented the occupation of Ukraine which Trump would have gifted Putin. -

Outcome of Donbass could have been different if Trump didn't withhold the military aid to Ukraine. The aid was critically important on the then on-going war in Donbas. -

So just a regular guy among the half of Americans who don't own stocks and not in the 6 odd percentage with 1 miilion nett worth. Highly relatable guy to majority of voters. -
Trump: ‘God Thinks I’m Here to Straighten Out Our Country’
Eric Loh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
Wow Trump know what God is thinking and Charles Mason implied that he was Jesus Christ. There must be some commonality between them; probably mental health issue. -
Trump has always been toxic at the ballot box. . A pattern of losing that is had to ignore. Lost 2018 - midterms when his endorsed candidates flopped bigly & Dems recaptured the House Lost 2020 - first incumbent to lose a reelection since George Bush Lost 2022 - most of his endorsed choices lost and Dems kept the senate. Red wave didn;t happen for the House. He will lose again in 2024 because his brand is failing and he lack the discipline to made adjustment.

You sure about that? According to PEW, most countries have confidence in Kamala Harris to do the right thing regarding world affairs. You and Hungary are the exception that have low confidence for obvious reason. https://www.pewresearch.org/short-reads/2022/07/18/most-people-have-confidence-in-kamala-harris-across-18-surveyed-countries/ -
Trump's Political Strategy: Shifting Blame for Afghanistan to Harris
Eric Loh replied to Social Media's topic in World News
You also ignoring the fact that any delay in modifying or cancel the agreement would mean more troops sent to fight in Afghanistan that could result in more American soldiers dying. I can agree that the withdrawal was chaotic and under Biden's watch but he was severly handcuffed by Trump's Taliban deal too. The blame falls on both man. -
You touched on an important aspect regarding the abandoning of military assets. Trump's administration was responsible to identify and provide the full details of the military inventory including the locations where they were kept and stored. They didn't complete the audit and it made the task of retrieving and destruction of the equipment in such a short time arduous.

JD Vance shot down a bill guaranteeing access to IVF earlier this year. He now have to justify how Trump's new IVF proposal fits with his previous stance on religious liberty. The 2 top guys on the ticket seem to keep undermining each other. Disaster looming with this kind of conflicting messaging and countless flip-flopping on abortion position.

The Arlington debacle has overshadowed the Afghanistan withdrawal. Own goal by Trump. -
Harris's economic proposal will would add $1.2 trillion to the deficit compare to Trump's $5.8 trillion deficit over the next decade (Penn Wharton Budget Model).
