I have tried everything to get the USB to work, but when my phone upgraded to nougat that was the end of file share by USB, also the computer can no longer see my hot spot since the upgrade.
I will try some of those apps from your link. Still it was nice to just plug the phone in and have it be part of file system. Maybe a future upgrade will restore it.
Bluetooth?

Thai's have an uncanny memory for faces, even farang ones. If you go back there in 20 years she will probably recognise you if she is still around.
Whether or not she would bother to do anything about it depends on how much you upset her over the bike incident!

Thai's hold grudges for years. They never forget

He was the safest motorcycle on the street he was easy to see, but he drives fast i was trying to catch up to hang an ornament on his motorbike.
Better idea: go after the motorbikes with out ANY lights front, back or turning lights..... That would be safer for all.
You mean actually do the job they are paid for..........no way man far too hard

30 % burns of course she is in pain what else would you expect?

They should fine the car dealer the vehicle was bought from. They are the ones who do the necessary to get you a permanent number plate. The owner should not be fined for the dealers lack of action

Do you generalize much? Every country in the world has such crime cases. Your own country may have even more.
I think you need to get either a life or go back under the stone you came from. I guess in your mind these things dint matter and yes they do happen in other countries but that dies not make it right.

When you think the attitude and morals in thailand has reached a new low an even worse incident hits the news. Thailand is a lost cause it seems

The necklace / chain whatever would weigh about 15 baht if just gold. Do we really believe that,

Just shows how pampered they have always been until now. Oil is getting hard to recover in Saudi and things are getting squeezed tbis time on the locals. About time

But that goes both ways. Back then, there weren't as many opportunistic vendors that flocked to the tourist areas to prey on them, either.
It happens all over the world- a friendly village becomes a destination for adventurous tourists. Then the spiral where it gets easier and easier to get there, drawing less adventurous tourists, and all that money attracts less and less savory vendors.
That's why I enjoy places like Songkhla so much. With the nearby insurgency, it's still a little off the beaten path and that whole tourism eco-system is decades behind . It hasn't lost its "friendly village" aura. I'm sure there are many other places today that are like Songkhla, and like Pattaya was back then. And I hope we don't hear about most of them- lest they start on that spiral.
A couple of years ago I got a taxi into Bangkok. The driver did not hsve change so I asked him to take me to a bank Ian's i would get change to pay him. He told me there was a bank around the corner and he didn't want to come with me. I got the change went back to the taxi paid the fare and gave him a good for being such a decent person

Many, many years ago in Pattaya, way before motorcyccle taxis, hiring a songtaew to take one over the hill for an afternoon on Jomtien beach was all done quite honorably. The fare was agreed pre-departure and the pick-up time for the return trip agreed. No money was paid until the return trip had been completed. Nobody was bilked and nobody was left stranded on the beach.
I guess there was just a much better class of 'tourist' and songtaew driver back then. Even in Pattaya.
I remember thise days as well. Just shows the kind if people that come to Thailand now. I have and never will try to get away without paying or not paying the agreed price

We live in a violent world, too much effort wasted trying to submerge the harsh realities, show the gory details, road accidents, shootings, victims of bombings, the whole lot. People need to be awakened, judges need to sentence in accordance with the damage and injury a person is prepared to inflict, be that with a gun, a car, truck, other weapon, or pure incompetence and disregard for the law.
It is not justified

is the third paragraph really necessary? I am sure readers have a pretty good idea of the damage a shot to the head at point blank range will do. The reporters need to grow up. We don't need the graphic details

Just well there are no issues more inoirtant in Thailand or it could be considered an unnecessary fixation with a single person

He wrote he was on overstay. It only requires an overstay that is more than 90 days to get a one year ban.
Perhaps read the rules here. New overstay rules.pdf
I know what they are but 90 is not being mistaken by a day or two is it

Maybe I missed it but I didn't read why he was blacklisted for a year. Presumably he overstayed by a significant amount of time.
Be interesting to know how this all came about

Does your USB accept memory sticks?
If so get the USB that has a fitting for the phone and a standard size. Cost about Baht 600 but worth having
