  1. As the OP says it is really up to the individual if they want to feel comfortable in Thailand. Yes there are stories of violence every day in the news but in my 34 years here I have never first hand witnessed it. The news always puts up the bad points. Just look at the news from the USA from that you would think people are constantly being shot all over the country, they are not.

I would agree someone who has not lived outside of their home country will find it potentially difficult to feel comfortable in Thailand but in the end it not all comes down to the adaptability of the individual.

Your first Thai license now is a temporary 2 year license

Yep, but it's a right ballache ...I did this year as couldn't convert my paper license from UK ....10 hours and 15 minutes later and done. So if there is an option not to have the life sucked out of you for an entire day then well ....

If you already have a license from the UK stop trying to be a smarty and take the test.

  3. If they have not received their pay they should see what legal route they can use to get the money owed to them. The paperwork excuse does not work. I assume they have work permits so the paperwork argyement do not hold.

It isn't a question of not like being treated the same as other people, no one is going to work for free as appears to be the case here

I think it depends on the country.  I believe that mainland China used to require a transit visa, even if you were only going to stay in the airport.

However, looking at the Dept of Foreign Affairs for Ireland, Thailand is not listed as a country where the citizen requires a transit visa.

    Schedule 5 - Transit Visas

If you are a citizen of one of these countries, you will need to apply for a transit visa

    Afghanistan

    Ethiopia*

    Moldova, Republic of

    Albania

    Ghana

    Nigeria

    Cuba

    Iran

    Somalia

    Democratic Republic of the Congo

    Iraq

    Sri Lanka

    Eritrea

    Lebanon

    Zimbabwe

At this point however, I am not sure what could be done.  I am thinking that the airline has a rule book that the employee was following.

Possibly the USA is missing from the list. When I came from Canada through LAX I had to okay a transit fee but not get a visa as such.

I suppose it would be possible, if they were running a DHCP server just for the site, and it was allocating address leases, restricted to x number. Once the address pool is used, additional users have to wait for a lease to expire before being able to sign on.

Used to be an issue with Windows Server 2003 which by default was restricted to 50 address leases. But that was 2003 technology and didn't have to worry about smartphones, tablets, laptops too much using it's resources.

DHCP allocate IP addresses. This has nothing to do with actually sending sending the form. I can get the form up easily but it won't send it. The IP for the server should be static not dynamic.
