In Thailand, bigger (as in pick-up truck), means you have right away over anything smaller than you, i.e. cars, motorcycles and people. Bigger also means you have the right to drive fast and carelessly. I see this everyday on the roads in Hua Hin.

Have to agree with your comment . I would like to add that large fronted vehicles such as pickup trucks and SUVs cause far more deaths around the worlds roads . Something needs to be controlled about this type of vehicle , especially in Thailand as they have become the most used vehicles on the road today .

Have a look at the Excel upload form for the TM30 online system, at least the old one as I CBF trying to find a copy of the new one.

It has fields for type of visa and arrival date, hence why some hotels copy both your passport data page AND your visa/entry info.

I have seen the same , yet after many years of obtaining TM30 registrations I can say that all is needed is the first page information on the foreigners passport .
The last TM 30 for a guest was applied for was the 25th of october . All went as usual with just the front page information of two foreigners .
That has been the procedure for many years .

We need to apply for a TM30 on the 24th of November fora new guest and the same procedure will be applied. If not succesful I will notify you .

So why does the official TM.30 form ask for all that stuff?

I give the house owner copies of foreigners front page passport details.

House owner either uses the online facility or will go into immigration and pick manually.

That is happening many times each month.

You're betraying your ignorance again bigstooge. I've checked in to many hotels and watched them take a copy of the visa page as well as the photo so they can enter all that info into the online TM30 system.

Bully for you that you've never encountered it but your experience is not universal and you just sound silly with your dogmatic assertions to the contrary.

You have no need for a copy of the visa or permission to stay to obtain a TM30 .

  5. Most Thais began there motorcycle experiance as a baby and time they are 12 years old know very well how to ride them .

Problem is that they are not taught how to abide by basic road rules . Instead follow what there parents done as they are sitting on the front of the motorcycle .

The worst of the worst are the delivery drivers . Had one run into me recently . He was of course reading the phone .

Something needs to be done about them urgently .

  6. We immigrants are allowed to live here in Thailand with no vote or say in what happens here in Thailand .

All i can do is go along with the flow like it or not .

The Chinese Government have worked hand in hand with the Thai Governments for years  transporting Wanted Chinese citizens from Thailand with no court procedures concerning there rights .

God help us all living in Thailand

Driving on the other side of the road isn't that hard.  The biggest issue you will have at first is turning on the windshield wipers when you want to use the turn signals.  But you have to be aware of how people drive here too.  Don't ever think about 'right of way' when driving here.

The worst of driving opposite side of the road at the start is when there is no traffic around as it is easy to start driving on the wrong side .

Of course when you meet a car driving towards you all comes back to you quickly .

  8. I believe you would be better staying out of the city and learn to use a motorcycle as you are safer than riding a bicycle . I have used a bicycle and motorcycle here for over 9 years and also have a car that rarely gets used as I am not happy driving a car on Thai roads .

I know of a guest house in San Sai Luang that you maybe interested in . Send a private message if you are interested to know the location .

  9. Ask for your education fees to be returned.

Had a gentleman inform myself and others that inflation is a tax .

What is deflation then ? Tax rebate perhaps ?

His reply was that I was a know nothing .

OK , i can live with that

Many to quickly condem others here in thailand . I am tired of them .

I was educating you as to why rugby league was originally called football - not what people think it should be called now.

From what you educated me was it was called rugby football . Rugby is rugby and football is football by at least 96 percent of the world population in 2023

Wrong! Because originally, the only way to score points in rugby league was to use your FOOT to kick the BALL between the goalposts.

Around 4 percent of the world's population would agree with you.

Refer to football and 96 percent would think of a round ball.
