The man went back to Russia from Germany for continuing his parties cause.
He is a Marty for freedom in Russia now.
I am quite sure the man knew what he was doing when returning to Russia.

I can't get a BIB at night in the village unless you sling them and petrol money..
I tend to avoid them at all cost.

Your concern of a increase of 1000 baht on your income tax reminds me of a story of a Thai doctor that was complaining online recently that his income of 220,000 baht was insufficient.
Not surprisingly he never received much support or sypathy.

Us posh Brits call it a WC (Water Closet), the riff-raff Brits, call it the bog..............................🤭
I am not posh by any means yet I have never asked where the bog is.
I am aware that the Americans when asked may i use the toilet they go into deep shock.

It's a lavatory, not a toilet.
In the UK lavotory is synonymous with toilet.

So he didn't want to go back home, that's understandable.
So he then took it out on the toilet door ?
There has been many bizarre incidences in Thailand which have been drug related and this plane episode fits the bill .

I think you'd need to do something pretty bad to get an eviction notice in Thailand. I rented a place for 6 years. Never once got an eviction notice. Never once had a rent increase. Never once had an agent pop by for an inspection of the property.
Then you were lucky.

Another reason why you don't ever buy a property in Thailand. Rent and just move to a new place if there are issues. Own properties overseas but never ever own anything in Thailand.
Your opinion on owning property is noted , however it is comforting to own the property and not be surprised with an eviction notice.

Stealing is just enough to say I would tell him to remove him self from the house and find your own way in life.
Moving to USA is not going to change him.

And similarly UK citizens have their pensions limited, ie frozen, purely because they live overseas, but very much depending where. That had been declared 'legal' in UK courts.
Isn't the unelected Governor General simply the UK Kings representative in Oz as a commonwealth country? It sounds like many expect him to have influence beyond his remit.
It was the European Court of Human Rights that declared freezing UK pensions as being legal.
The Governor general can not make decisions yet has influence .

Ummmm your next door neighbour isn't far off what you're saying.
NZ Government Super (pension) is paid out if you reside in NZ. But if you are out of the country more than 26 weeks then look out.
Either it will drop significantly or stop completely.
And they will hound you if you are 'over paid' that is if you have received pension after the 26 weeks that you weren't 'entitled' to.
Military pensions aren't so archaic... and continue to be paid regardless of where you live.
New Zealand and Australia need to realise that there policy on portability of pensions is illegal. It's about having had money taken from you and then find some excuse not to pay up.

Isn't there an oil cooler in the radiator, that could leak?
If the garage qoutes a head casket replacement it would be hard to imagine that the oil cooler is leaking at the same time .

When ever I had a suspicion of a head casket failure I would pull out the dipstick and see what colour it was as if there is water getting into the oil becomes milky.
The garage is qouting for a new radiator tells me that you should find a new garage .

I assume you don't help everybody you meet. What did you see in this particular person that made you want to help him?
Just having known him for a long time.
I wanted to help him , simple as that

We have had a long friendship and had many drinks and humour together for the past 8 years
He has a different set of rules in life and I have accepted that. When I say that I mean that he is sitting all day doing little while I am busy working at home. The lady at home has not liked me being friends with him as well.
I simply wanted to help him as I could see that all his options had been closed regarding short term visas.
He had been a tourist for over 10 years. We would discuss the immigration rules for the Next move as in a game of chess.

That's not really a small amount, its around $700 usd. Ask that guy nicely next time you see him, maybe he forgot about it, figured you were wealthy and did not care, or was not able to contact you. A lot of people are not responsible and are just flakes in general, you have to pester and remind them to do things.
I agree what you say and I have pestered him with messages that get unanswered.
I simply don't want to set eyes on him
Yet all the same it was I that offered the money to him, yet that should not make a difference on repayment.
I have helped the man in other ways when he has asked , but that never involved money, just my time to run him around for different reasons
Thank you for your reply

No wonder he never paid you back.
Because I don't want trouble I presume you mean.
I would see red looking at him , better to stay away than cause trouble over a relatively small amount of money.

I have met many foreigners here living in Thailand and one Californian man I was good friends with . He needed help with getting a visa and I loaned him 25000 to pay an agent . Now 8 months later still no return of the money even though he promised the money back in 2 months.
I do not want to see him again as I don't want any trouble.
