  1. whatever happens if you get involved then its ALL your fault ,

This topic is a only the start....of the big scheme of things Thai....

If I have ever read a troll post or a made up story in TV this is it and I can't believe those who are replying to it with advice. I bet there is a money wager on this post to see how many pages of fools it will get responding to it. I count this quote as One.mfr_closed1.gif.pagespeed.ce.UuJWYpOV2uU

  2. Is it ONLY in Thailand that this type of incident happens?

Where was it mentioned that she was a bar girl?

Where was it mentioned that he was very educated?

There are many sick people in Thailand, for sure.

The Thai immigration sure must be more careful and thorough to separate the chaff from the wheat to avoid these incidents in the future.

Your comment has got to be the most ludicrous I have read here in a while.(The Thai immigration sure must be more careful and thorough to separate the chaff from the wheat to avoid these incidents in the future.)xsick.gif.pagespeed.ic.tVTSNn-2vrViiesVr

  3. There is no minimum amount of money required for a UK visit visa; but applicants do need to show that the trip is affordable.

The money for the trip can come from the applicant, the sponsor or a third party. Anyone who is contributing to the cost of the trip needs to provide evidence of their ability to do so; e.g. bank statements, pay slips.

You and your friend may find UK visit visa basics helpful.

A letter of Invitation with you assuming all liabilities will do it.

  4. I honestly cannot believe some of the previous posts, you should be absolutely ashamed of the comments you ave posted.

What does it matter what the sexual history of the mother, IF she was raped the she was raped by an adult who did know the difference.

Travelman868 you are an imbecile and a dangerous person, there is no young person who legitimizes rape by consenting to it, with an underage person it is RAPE!!!

Are you all sitting in front of your computer waiting for the previous nights booze to fade away, what is wrong with you people???

Wow you sure felt the need to go off on travelman. Mr. James you neglect the fact that there are questions that arise regarding this claim by Gorgina as written here. 20 times over 3 years while having a sexually active life with a boyfriend. That is what makes the claim so suspicious and Travelman should never have been so attacked by you for pointing out the obvious. Your apology is now in order.........

  5. You can apply for a 30 day extension of the 30 day visa exempt entry you will get on arrival at an immigration office for a fee of 1900 baht.

If you don't get the extension you will need to a pay fine for 2 day of overstay that will be 1000 baht plus there is a risk of being caught with an overstay before you grt to the airport.

Ubonjoe: How does the mix of money in the saving account marry up with monthly income. For example marriage to Thai requiring 400 K in the bank or 40K a month income. Now for example if I had only 200K in the bank how much monthly income would I have to show? 20K ? Not sure it works this way but will subscribe to your learned information and advice. Thanks

  6. Your are in thailand so put up with it I just shake my head when I am in thailand drive around it is a shit place to drive and the poor kids in the cars I can't stand it but not much I can do .

I recall PRE seat belt days people standing up in the back of trucks without fear. Pre helmets for everything. No a days parents coddle kids to much and then complain that their kids are obese. Nothing wrong with a few scrapes bruises and scars to herald your growing years upon entering adulthood.

  7. When I met my GF my major requirement was that she must be unfaithful, because I will be.

She is my best friend and we plan to have a family together. We are at 5 years already. So what if we have other partners. Life is better without the insecurity. And a heck of a lot more fun.

Unbelievable B. S. Lets have an STD party and see who has it the worst in your 5 years of partners each ...cheesy.gif

  8. Stop scaring me dude. I'm getting married next week. We usually have sex twice per day. Before I go to work and before we sleep at night. Would she still?

  9. Wai-ing is history; spitting and yelling is the future.

So all Chinese spit & yell do they?

    Likely more do than don't.

CM future: ever more sour-faced farangs (many donning pony tails and socks under their sandals) and swathes of Chinese. Think I'll pass. whistling.gif

So do Americans and Europeans too. Hope all the other folks who critics of their host country also give it pass and stay the hell home.

  10. Yes, I see them taking over CM as you describe.

And that's just the start. They are all over the world doing the same thing.

My advice to young people is to learn to say "Yes, boss" in Mandarin.

We farangs in CM do not need to learn any more about the Thai culture. We need to learn about the Chinese culture instead.

Wai-ing is history; spitting and yelling is the future.

Your last line describes all farange but you can add cursing and swearing as well. Is there something wrong with Chinese people??? I don't think so individually but groups can be a little bothersome but so do other groups as well.

Haven't quite understood this Chinese bashing of late. Is because Russian bashing is passe now do to their economy and lack of tourist numbers.

Starting to wonder about the expats here who seem to be so critical of everything and everybody. Has this site outside of continuing repeats of the same information over and over again become a ranters and critics playground.??????

  11. With human rights on the improve in Thailand ,the 84 day detention should be a breeze , I shouldn't wonder that western Governments will soon introduce this as it is certainly the easy way to do things, certainly when a terrorist attack is imminent, maybe another way is to place everyone on detention, that's even easier, this has unlimited possibilities, why didn't I think of it , I probably lack that main ingredient Thainess.. coffee1.gif

Just like yesterday Canada introduced a bill which in essence says that anyone damaging or threatening the infrastructure of the country can be charged under the terrorism laws. The opposition is fighting it on the grounds that demonstrating against an oil pipeline for instance could be deemed as threatening the infrastructure of the country and so on and on it goes no matter the country your in.

  12. So hang on, was this kite surfing or para sailing, the 2 are not the same. Kite surfing involves a (surf) board with a sail, para sailing is being towed behind a boat with a parachute (as in the picture on the OP). Are we to believe that a surfboard with a sail was lifted 200 metres in the air and landed on a roof? If that was possible then (small) yachts would surely be in the same predicament.

Or were they being towed around by some incompetent boat driver who couldn´t control what was going on? This seems like a more likely scenario, which brings other things into question huh.....

It is standing on a surf board with your feet in sleeves and a para sail over head pulling you and the surf board through the water. Why they didn't release is the big question here.

  13. I'm turning 65 in April. I've applied for the OASP and a small CPP contribution.

Lived in Thailand since 1989. Last filed Canadian taxes around 1976. Understand I may have to start filing if I get the OASP! (<deleted>!)

I do own a vacation house, have an old camper, small bank account. I'm in the opposite conundrum. I'd like to prove residency IF it will get me the Guaranteed Income Supplement, effectively doubling my meagre pensions.

However, I've just discovered one needs to live in the old country 183 days per year. Sounds like prison to me.

Like to know if they'll discount my OASP and CPP 25% because I'm living overseas even though it will be paid into my Canadian bank account.

If you havn't filed since 1976 you are already in trouble. The law states you must file even if nothing to declare. You also need to have lived in Canada for 20 years to be deemed eligible for living off shore or else all benefits stop after 6 months.

I dare say you are in quite the pickle expecting any benefits. I would suggest to you to do some serious required reading on the Services Canada site specially under the CPP and OAS sections. Regarding guaranteed income supplement that is only available based on income and expenses in Canada. Very hard to get and checked regularily

  14. <script type='text/javascript'>window.mod_pagespeed_start = Number(new Date());</script>

You are probably right, I don't have any arguments to conjure up. Well, I guess I just have to endure this, could be worse though, my life at this point is not so bad.

Sounds like you may have found the wrong company in the U.S. of A. as to your boredom and loss of drive. At your young age spouting this nonsense surely suggests the use of wacky tobbaky ( cannabis sativa ) the recreation of listlessness and no drive causing complete boredom and total lack of motivation.

I don't do drugs or drink man. That's not my thing

    Dear OP

Just to be a bit touchy-feely: If you're not enjoying life is there any chance you could have depression? Always worth ruling out before making major life choices. And in any case see if you can find a nice student counsellor at your school to talk through your career options. I know a lot of people are saying man up and take it, but you're 22 and should be enjoying life even if studying. Have you got a decent social life there?

But in any case I would heavily advise you to finish school. Plan some rewards each break. Get a part time job to save for trips to Thailand in vacation time. Good luck

Yes, I don't know if it it depression. I don't have much of a social life but I do hang out with some friends on weekends. I don't like going to parties or clubs, though chill bars I don't mind.

Then go see a doctor and tell all your depressing tales there and gets some help.
