Haha. This is rich. Cracking down on import tax evasion. Last time I checked, if u didn't pay up you didn't get ur goods. The only people POSSIBLE of evading the import tax are those that gave hefty backhanders to the PTB@Thai Customs and had their shipment/supercars released with appropriate documentation.
How about cracking down on those on the take within Thai Customs? (rhetorical question).
Business as usual here. Deflection, diversions, misdirections, finger pointing and crackdowns until things get back to normal. Funny place, Thailand.

Well said, and not only this subject?
Some quick analysis of many 'news' items / many subjects reveals the same point - why aren't the appropriate officials continuously monitoring matters which fall under their responsibility (doing what they are being paid to do - the reason for existence of their jobs), and take immediate actions?
I am assuming ur question is rhetorical. However, we all know why gov't employees who are underpaid are some of the wealthiest. Actually had a MoEd official approach my wife with offer for a job years ago. Only 600k THB...to him!
This former neighbour had a fleet of vehicles (the standard Fortuner with gov't badge included), kids in "international" boarding schools and likely as many mia nois as he had cars.
The thing that surprised us was he just showed up at our door while we had guests and unabashedly threw out his pitch to the my wife with Thais present and then abruptly left.

Had no idea that (according to Thai govt's misdirectional finger pointing) Thaksin and the Red Shirts had ties to ISIS and Abu Sayyaf. You learn something new everyday.

The purple people eater!
Waiting with bated breath for it to get started. Much needed to help with the booming economy and 15 million tourists coming to the Province every year.
Purple people eater, indeed. I hope they intend to put guard rails up to dissuade potential jaywalkers and keep out those motorbikes that like to cut across medians instead of heading to the next junction and making a u-turn.

Shouldn't customs and the ministry of transport have picked up on this when they arrived and were registered?
Yep. Everything from reggie to insurance has to start with Customs releasing the vehicle declared as "duty paid." Hmmm. I wonder how these cars made it onto the streets?

Yay! So does that mean the elections will be back on?
Never mind.

Which one is the bride?
Looks like they BOTH got a horrible make up job.
Handsome couple though sans make up. Hope they have a happy life together.

RIP to the rider. Perhaps he was in NINJA mode and possibly the pickup driver didn't see him?
In any case, judging by the damage he was flying.

where is the Thai woman who was with them?????
I think that is a different jail break where the cop claimed he forgot to lock the door after letting their gf in for a visit.

“The illegal regime change in 2014 destroyed several things… Do we really want coercion by the use of guns? How will this differ from those who rob banks?” Chaiyan said.
It won't. The state coffers are already nearly empty. Mission accomplished.

There are several errors on the page, all easily spotted with the naked eye. That is, if the person checking the passport knows what they are doing. It would seem that, maybe, the Thai Immigration Officers don't know what they are supposed to be looking for.
Not sure about anyone else, but my mates and I also routinely apply for and are issued our PP renewals on the same day. Haha.
Not saying Thai Immi would catch it as they go through one by one or in different lines. Just another weird thing about the PPs.

Why are poster writing about the truck driver while the report is about the truck owner?
And you can bet that the driver can not easily fork out 20k.
What video are you writing about?
Is there a CCTV about the accident?
(just too lazy to search through the threads)
I was more than surprised to read in a UK tabloid that Ms. Rose had spoken very critical about her boyfriend in the recent past.
http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/pregnant-brit-blogger-killed-thailand-10431142
Mr. Glass' statements in the article taken together with his video leads me to think this woman was living with a sociopath. E.g. she has absolved him from the spirit world.
This fellow seems more concerned with saving his own skin and being in the spotlight than grieving his loss.
Again, not assigning blame for the accident but something not right about this bloke's reaction to the tragedy.
Mentions nothing about his unborn child etc. It is only about what HE is going through.

So they have already managed to arrive and depart Thailand previously and only got caught out by Korean authorities who sent them back to Thailand hmmm
Don't you remember? It is all part of the RTPs "strategic incompetence" campaign touted last after the explosion in Bangkok.

Danny Glass says he has not been charged with reckless driving and has contacted the Thai police and the British Embassy and they also are not aware of any charges of reckless driving.
Something not right about this bloke. Aside from most of the video being him speaking only about himself, his videos and his circumstances, the thing I found most chilling was this quote @ 01:31, "It would be a sad state of affairs if I was charged, but life goes on..."
To which I say, "Not for Ms. Anderson and your child."
P.S. I am not saying he is guilty or responsible for the death of his girlfriend (and the child she was carrying), but just found it strange that this tragedy has seemed to turn into a "youtube" moment/opportunity for this person.
Can't put my finger on it.

"At first, police could not collect evidence at the scene because there were a lot of people walking in an out of the building."
Absolute clowns, gobsmacked that they would even admit this but the fact they have shows how incompetent they are.
Area should have been cordoned off immediately but congratulations on giving any defence lawyer the perfect opportunity to argue a contaminated crime scene.
Yes. But it is "strategic" incompetence. 555

did all enter the tank together? I wonder if the designated safety officer was one of the four?
Couldnt the owner and worker supervisor who are the responsible parties by the way had just requested training from the CIH at the local OSHA office?
i would love see how workplace fatalities by OSHA are investigated and follow-up is handled...
Payouts to family. No shared learning or corrective actions. It is cheaper than training amd keeping occupational hygiene/HSE staff on the payroll.

One thing I'll never understand here.....why does the victim have to do the job of the police?
"The victim was expected to come with the report to the police station at 10am this morning."
Why can't the police visit the victim as in civilized countries?
They are not civilized? Money #1? Hence, absolutely no morals.

Strange, the older i get the more self assured i am. Old men can stand on a pinnacle of life experience and look down on the goings on at the bottom and shake ones head in amazement and think, ''I used to be that stupid''
Agreed. We all make mistakes in life. That is called life! Those who can learn from them and move on are wiser for it. Those who cannot live as prisoners of their own fear and insecurity. It is a big world full of wonderful people and experiences. And we only have one shot at making the most of it. I am not afraid of dying. I am afraid of not living! And making the most of my gift in the short time (no pun intended) I get to spend here. Father Time carries on as he always has. It is up to each of us to squeeze as much happiness from the finite gift he has given us.

Good on the young lass!
Scary to think there are gangs of degenerates prowling the countryside looking to snatch young children.
Hopefully the girl will share her lesson of "Stranger Danger" with classmates and friends.
