Just wait until some brave guy start to dig up dirt about the 3 Subs and the high speed trains, 155 million will be peanuts compared how much they can get from that.
Said brave person had better be far away from Thailand or it might be the last whistle he/she blows.

Any remotely competent journalist would be asking the question "why are you holding 80,000,000 bht of the militaries own money in your personal bank account?"
I reckon most are but just not publicly as it has been made clear that jounalists asking these types of questions stand to be 44'd, AA'd or just disappeared.

Wow! It's now 155 Million baht in contracts. This is typical Thai Corruption. A full investigation is needed.
155 million on paper/that the public knows about. I suspect the real figures are significantly higher. Keep in mind also, the nephew (and other family members) might be involved in multiple rackets that we simply haven't heard about.

One can only imagine the mischief La Fon has been up to in the 40 yrs he has eluded authorities. Appears to be one nasty character and career criminal.

According to the headline and the article, it seems that the entire world is made up of Australia. I guess my geography teachers didn't know s&*t .

Looks like Sukhumbhand has found himself a new job already...as advisor to the EU.

That is one serious point!

Just curious to know which media outlets that Sanit refers to in the OP have (prematurely) speculated that the corpse is a Fremch national? All I have seen is that RTP are seeking assistance from FBI using dental records after attempts at ID via fingerprint came up with nothing.
-
That certainly narrows it down.
-
The accident or the horrible reporting?
-
Why do the RTP always seem to give the Mr. Bigs a head start by publicly announcing the imminent issuance of arrest warrants in the media and only nab the small fry in the raids? Oh wait! It's part of their selective campaign to stamp out corruption and human-trafficking.

And Andy Hall gets 4 years and 150k fine. Mind boggling.

Let's put it this way, Buddha and all other deities in the world are all men's invention,
as without people in the world, this world wouldn't have the needs for gods
and god like to worship, therefore, as such , it stand to reason that it is ok to ask
your creation anything you like really, and auspicious lottery numbers from a fungus
is one of them....
s
Dont mean to split hairs, but Buddha was a man (born Siddartha Gautama) not a figment of anyone's imagination. Regardless, the way Thais worship him as a god is antithetical to his teachings. But as another poster has pointed out, Thai Buddhism is a rather strange melange of animism, mysticism, superstition and Buddhist teachings.

Police have also identified the suspected ringleader as none other than the dastardly Doraemon. Police have applied for an arrest warrant for Doraemon and hope to receive the warrant in 2 weeks time at which time they hope to make an arrest. However, police said it is likely Doraemon will already have fled the country by that time.

With European deputies coming at 9.am, signing to have their daily $500 then leaving at 9.30am I hope it will end too...tired of those useless guys in their ivory tower
Yep exactly. All the free-loading bureaucrats are in panic mode. They may have to get REAL jobs.

Ibis Nam Phu. Clean, modern rooms. Elevator. Key card. Great service. And conveniently located in the heart of it all. Next door they have an outdoor food court/beer garden (basically take outs from the various restaurants in town) and some times live music. Around the corner (literally out the front door and right) is an authentic Italian place as well.
Only down side, no pool. If that matters to you.

Punish the victims, but the big fish gets away...yet again.

"Although Jenphops family initially said he would only stay in the monkhood for two weeks, his uncle, Charoen Yodkaewlah, told reporters today that he decided to continue his religious retreat for an unspecified amount of time."
Seems this POS has taken a page out of Ol' Dhammachayo's book. Seems to be working for the abbot, so why not?

Meanwhile, another boat (longtail this time) has capsized carrying 14 tourists near Krabi. Luckily no reports of fatalities or missing passengers.

Really, where's the fun in that?
Some things here are so far beyond comprehension, by all means make torture and abduction illegal, get into the eighteenth century Thailand.
Still have a few centuries to go, I fear.

Highly unlikely occurrence. As most of the nation's buffaloes are chronically ill and in the infirmary. Hence the sacrifice of countless young Thai women working nights in BKK, Pattaya etc. to help the sick buffaloes. Bless them. How selfless.
