SoilSpoil replied to smallchungus's topic in Chiang Mai
Maybe you should tell us what part of Thailand you are talking about. The different aprts of the country have their own 'smog season'. The south has less smog issues than the rest of the country in general. The north is heavily polluted from end November until May. -

SoilSpoil replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Nothing fake about this festival, it's certainly bigger than Songkran here down south. Not eating meat is just one aspect. You should visit Phuket, or Takua Pa this weekend and you wont believevyour eyes. The amount of fireworks is unbelievable. -

You can take a whale watching tour from September to December to see the Bryde whales. During this period they will swim up the Gulf and easy to spot. Amazing that you can go on a whale watching fptiur close to Bangkok (Ban Kun Tian). You can/could also spot Irrawady dolphins near Ban Pakong. -
Thailand Wrestles with the Ripple Effects of Cannabis Decriminalisation
SoilSpoil replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Maybe, just maybe too many Thai Leo/Singha drinkers are consuming less beer and more cannabis. The relaxed annabis policies are possibly hurting the big beer families. -
This is not true. Prices here have already dropped and are a lot cheaper than in the US or Europe. Check Shopee, Lazada or even on Facebook for prices if you dont believe me. 495 baht for 20 grams of dried leaves (powder) is absurd for a locally grown plant. Kratom in its infancy here.? Have you ever driven down south? Hundreds of roadstalls are selling leaves and tea. Powder is just dried leaves (1 night in airconditioned room will do) without the stams and veins, 20 grams of powder is worth not more than 20 baht. Thailand has the Maeng Da strain, which is a lot more potent than the Indonesian strain.

Euro also stands at 39 Baht at the moment. A 3% increase in less than a month. I will transfer a batch at 40 and make some extra pocket money.
