  1. All this lobbing of explosives at disparate targets remotely connected to political entities without injuring anyone, is a cheapy way to create havoc. Mayhem and disorder being a necessary condition for the coup-mongers, thereby clearly indicating the source.

Their problem however, is that everyone sees through this facade, and it isn't gaining the traction the coup-mongers are hoping for. Even when the the media dutifully provides supportive solemn, phonily earnest and deadpan reports about them.

    Poor babies!

Of course you intentionally leave out the attacks that have hurt and killed people. Better to pretend that didn't happen because it's harder to fit it into your propaganda, right?

For those that have been hurt or killed in these repeated attacks, he feels his last comment applies to them.

    "Poor babies!"

  2. Pheu Thai Party deputy spokesman Anusorn Iamsa-ard denied any link between the government and the grenade attack at Nataphol's house, saying the government did not stand to benefit from such acts of intimidation.

Logic understandably fails with PTP Spokesman/Red Shirt Anusorn as he professes he can't sort how intimidating an anti-government protester might benefit the government.
If the Red Shirt is going to deny a link, he needs to come up with something more logical as the reason.

  3. Meanwhile, Kasem Penhinan, a Chulalongkorn University lecturer, reiterated that the Sor Por Por Lanna acronym used by the red shirts was actually derived from Assembly for the Defence of Democracy (AFDD) - a political forum comprising red shirts and people against PDRC. He insisted that the acronym did not stand for the People's Democratic Republic of Lanna.

It'd be nice to hear what an impartial Thai language or linguistics professor at Chula has to say about the translation rather than a philosophy professor with a long history of red shirt apologism.

  4. BANGKOK, 5 Mar 2014, (NNT) - According to the Chairperson of the United front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD), Tida TAvornset, the group does not support the idea of separatism.

Tida to husband Weng: You mean I can be executed for supporting separatism?

Weng: Now don't get angry at me my lovely little cream puff but yes you can. Didn't you know this?

Tida: Oh <deleted>#k me runnin' I have to call a news conference quick.

Weng: No worries, my little dumpling. You'll be protected, same as me, when the new amnesty bill goes through.

  5. well blocking polling stations, preventing people from voting and blowing whistles in peoples faces seem to be fairly intimidatory acts

The only thing that you've retorted that I would agree on is they have loads of them, yeah so does the Army ...;)

Awww c'mon, please expand on what criminal intimidation you preferred to employ yourself. The voice of experience is always worthwhile to listen to.

You're on a roll already by comparing whistles to hand grenades.

    .

  6. More intimidation used on thr PRDC. While the idiot government wants to file charges on people who blow their whistles, they don't seem to be doing much to catch the real armed criminals.

Second grenade in less than a week thrown into the residence of a prominent PDRC personalty that fails to actually detonate.

Either the Reds are as dumb as Chitpas thinks they are or..... they're both just staged events trying to keep a dying protest movement in the news.

I think we all know which is the most likely story here.

The grenades weren't meant to harm, they were meant to intimidate.

It's the same as someone placing a molotov cocktail at a person's front gate. Hishouse didn't burn down but it's a warning that it could burn down if he doesn't stop pissing someone off.

    Duh.

Why waste a perfectly good grenade??? What's wrong with the crisp bag full of dogsh*t set on fire outside the door?

What's wrong with sending pictures of his kids taken from outside their schools?

Whats wrong with entering his house when he's not there and taking photos and sending them later on?

What's wrong with just following him on his way to his demonstrations and throw him into a van, cuffed and hooded for a few hours?

There's tonnes of ways in which to intimidate someone throwing a taped hand grenade isn't one I'd personally use, why waste it?

    1. They got loads of them.

    2. They're not Kansas City teenagers.

    3. They're not New Jersey mobsters.

    4. They're not Los Angeles stalkers.

    5. They're not a Chicago pedophile ring.

    6. Please elucidate on what previous intimidation tactics you've used and recommend.

It's always interesting to hear others expanding on their criminal backgrounds.

  7. Charupong also threatened anti-government protesters of uprising by over 10 millions of people who owned handguns in the country

He also said he is a chief licenser of guns nationwide.

he is a gun registrar which means he could issue gun ownership license, gun carrying license to the people which coincides with the red-shirt leader declaring to recruit 100,000 of armed guards to protect democracy.

They've given the keys to the gun cabinet to a maniac.

  8. Probably and angry parent from Srivikorn school who wishes Taya Teepsuwan would expend some effort on the teaching job she is paid to do at the school rather than courting publicity/fame with her Democrat Party husband.

Because that's just what school parents due regularly whenever they have an issue with school employees HR policies.

They throw pre-dawn hand grenades at people's homes.

  9. Messing around with the party logo. Gonna have a lot of hurt feelings there.

Wanna bet a STR leader's house gets attacked tomorrow? Only question is it a gun attack, a grenade or both?

If whistling at a mall merits both a pipe bomb and a barrage of automatic weapon fire, then besmirching a prized logo with a banner surely calls for even stronger retribution.

  10. To publish this list is an act of cruelty.....Suthep will die of envy if he see it...

I'm shocked he's not on it after reading numerous posts proclaiming he was even more corrupt than Thaksin, who is, unsurprisingly, on the list.

Could have all of those posts been nonsense hyberbole from Thaksin apologists?

  11. Meanwhile, the Foreign Trade Department reported that caretaker Commerce Minister Niwatthumrong Boonsongpaisan had approved the sale of 600,000 tonnes of rice in separate auctions to 11 private companies who took part in bidding, earning a total of Bt20 billion.

Why selling it now, it seem to be a better investment than gold. Selling a commodity that's going for 8000 Bht/tonne on the world market for 33.000 Bht/tonne locally is something one can only dream about.

Or maybe that is just what it is A DREAM .

Perhaps Deputy Commerce Minister/Indicted Red Shirt Leader Natthawut did the math for Commerce Minister Niwatthumrong.

Hmmm.landlocked country with hostile neighbour controlling all the trade and transport links. Yep, that'll work.

Sent from my Nexus 7 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

It would not be land locked, would control much of the raw product Bangkok needs to function water, labor, electrical power, rice etc.

You must have not understood what was stated, if Bangkok wanted an "appointed dictatorship", which most of democratic Thailand will not agree to!

    Cheers

    Not landlocked?

Where is the sea up there?

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Thaivisa Connect Thailand mobile app

As per their map it is not land lacked chachoengsao, Chonburi and Rayong included in their map you can check. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Lanna-Republic/798501550179738

What a ridiculous map the red shirt separatists have put up on the web.

Lanna territory through the eastern seaboard all the way to Trat.

    :cheesy:

Obviously they weren't content with the reality of a real map.
