The disease care system will be of little help since nutrition not part of their training or business model. You have access to the best lab in the world ..your own body/mind and so can try the diet that works for you ...be it Mediterranean, low carb, keto, carnivore etc.
I eat egg/cheese,butter omelet in a.m. , meat dish and steamed veg or som-tum for lunch,dinner. A little steamed carrot or squash for carb. Keto banana bread, choc/peanutbutter fat blob , fruit for snacks. Stevia or monkfruit sweetener. Almond flour instead of wheat. Homemade yogurt for gut health. All products readily avail at local market, makro and lazada. Exercise and morning sunshine. Keeps my weight under control and have great energy.
