Renew "marriage visa" or just get a new extension?
sandyf replied to Nayet's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I have come back on a new visa several times, it's no big deal. Visa application is fairly straightforward and the last one I got the visa in 48 hours. Doing an extension from a new visa is not much different to a renewal and you save yourself a 90 day report. As they say, up to you. -
I had problems a couple of years ago with a visa and as you say, a bunch of cowboys, i registered a complaint and got this response UK Helpline<[email protected]> To:You Mon 2/17/2020 9:08 AM Dear Customer, Thank you for your email. We understand that you are facing an error on our VFS website. We request you to Log out from the website and clear the cache and cookies along with the browser history / for apple user clear history at Safari. Restart the system and try again after 30 minutes. Highly recommended browser - Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. As useful as a chocolate fireguard. I tried to respond but undeliverable so I registered another complaint about the email address and got this plus a list of suggestions I had already tried. ukvisaservicesaspac<[email protected]> To:You Mon 2/17/2020 11:13 AM Dear Customer, Thank you for your email. Our CORRECT email address is: [email protected] not vfsglobal.com They were absolutely useless and I resolved the matter myself, I use Webroot antivirus and it didn't like their website, changed to another antivirus and everything worked ok. I am not suggesting that is your problem but wouldn't hold my breath on getting a sensible answer by email or phone, it may well take a visit.

If you want to believe every IO will let people leave the country without completing the TM6 departure details that is up to you, doesn't make it a fact. I have never completed departure details on arrival with the paper TM6, but have been picked up a couple of times on the way out having forgotten. Why on earth would anyone would think that will be different, selective memory? Time wil tell,it always does.

You were only contacted out because you had another pension. It was quite scandalous that a certain segment of the UK population could put part their NI contributions into a occupational/private pension that would be index linked worldwide.

Quite. I have my own home and quite comfortable on about 30K/month. Health is on a pay as you go basis, when I can't pay I will go, already well into extra time.

You seem to be forgetting that old Reg in Sheffield has no medical expenses, even prescriptions are free for the elderly. The other significant factor is having to pay rent or living rent free. There is very little in the way of like for like comparison.

Rather than being a piece of paper the new TM6 will be an online document. Completion of departure information shouldn't be necessary prior to arrival, but would be required for departure by modifying the tdac used on entry. The auto gates for departure should only open if everything is in order, like the paper TM6 I can see many failing to complete the information before going to immigration. At a kiosk the IO will say what is wrong and either fill it in for you, or send you to the back of the queue. However if the gates just don't open, many will scratch their heads for 5 minutes before coming back out and going to a kiosk.

Anutin: Investigation into Bangkok Building Collapse to Take Months

People also ask How long did the Grenfell inquiry take? The 1,700-page report of the six-year public inquiry "sets out how a chain of failures across government and the private sector led to Grenfell Tower becoming a death trap". -
The National Insurance Act of 1946 was intended to provide safety nets for the working population. However successive government have decided it was a tool to suit their agenda, cut when votes required and raise when strapped for cash. The system is now morally corrupt with jobs being used to fund gross mismanagement and a multitude of fraudsters and freeloaders.

Thai Baht Plummets with US Tariff Blow: 34.50 per Dollar Test Looms
sandyf replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Just before the quake the £ was 43.98, today it is 44.23. Not what i would call a "plummet". Insignificant compared to June 2016. -
Weak Baht Fails to Spark Tourism Boom, Safety Concerns Prevail

Got there mid week, heading back down again. -
Mine was issued on 22nd July 2014 with expiry date 22nd July 2024. Previous passport was issued on 12th April 2010 with expiry date 12 Jan 2021. Application was made first week April 2014, I hadn' t been aware of the impending change and absolute chaos came about. Wouldn't be out of the question for processing errors to have occurred, may well have been the reality for a period of time.

Pattaya Hotels Boom Amid Post-Quake Guest Surge as Hua Hin Falters
sandyf replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
It is media sensationalism but has some substance. I have been coming down to Pattaya regularly since New Year and throughout that time it has been fairly difficult to get where you want, particularly at the low end of the scale. Last week when we booked for this week, before the quake, many were full up or down to last room. If you were ok with 2K+ then a lot more choice but we don't want to pay that just to avoid driving home. With Pattaya already fairly busy, wouldn't have taken many to fill up one accommodation segment and provide an excuse for a distorted headline. -
Yes, they do fly them empty, I came back on a flight from China and my wife and I were the only 2 passengers. They have aircraft committments and cancellation can cost more than low passenger numbers. First time I came back after covid, only about 50 passengers on a 380, superb, get stretched out across 4 seats. I doubt we will see much difference, I still get Skyscanner alerts for the flight I have in June, got one yesterday to say the price on Emirates was now 86K and offered an alternative on Air China at 55K, not bad for 2, BKK to Gatwick return.
