Anyone else in shock at what flights back home cost right now?
That is only an adjustment to the base fares. They increased the fares very significantly as soon as the conflict started. A friend of mine went back to UK yesterday and that cost 53K baht one way, I booked it for him a fortnight ago, first available flight at the time.

Gas - issues buying petrol in Pattaya ?
We are close to the Chonburi bypass and many are closing in the evening or have a 500 baht limit. Many people are filling jerry cans due to the expected rise in price and demand may drop slightly once that happens.

Pork pies & sausage rolls
I also said this "PS Just had a look on the Expats website and gobsmacked they actually sell Greggs, but I have never seen them in Siamburi's. The ones I have are warm on the counter."

Pork pies & sausage rolls
Nothing like a bit of context distortion. This is what I said "The sausage rolls in Siamburi's are quite good. It is all about personal taste and these are very similar to Greggs, if your a Brit you know."

Apaches and A10s blasting Iran assets at Hormuz
And how did that come about. Who exactly elected the US as a global leader. How many nations agreed to cast the first stone. People go to prison for taking the law into their own hands. Pandora's box has been opened and the whole world will suffer from US arrogance.

Non-o marriage 90 day - open bank failed
You are entitled to your opinion, doesn't make it valid. If you fail one way, why not try another.

Pork pies & sausage rolls
I have never had Greggs frozen, only ever fresh, so not sure if they the same. Ones I had from Siamburi were also fresh and if remember right 50 baht each.

Apaches and A10s blasting Iran assets at Hormuz
How not to fail, again.

Apaches and A10s blasting Iran assets at Hormuz
The US seem to have forgotten it came about through a regime change from "within". The history books have shown it is the only way, but "might is right" prevails.

Non-o marriage 90 day - open bank failed
I would suggest that you try and gat an english speaking Thai national to go to the bank with you. The culture is such that they are less likely to try and fob off a Thai than a foreigner. Should there be any issues you will get a better indication of what is required. The fall back is of course an agency.

Can Thailand stay an expat favourite under these new rules?
"informal long-stayers" What status would that equate to in other expat destinations.

Pork pies & sausage rolls
The sausage rolls in Siamburi's are quite good. It is all about personal taste and these are very similar to Greggs, if your a Brit you know. Siamburi products are available through Expatfoods but not sure about the sausage rolls as they may be local. I also quite like their Gala Pie. PS Just had a look on the Expats website and gobsmacked they actually sell Greggs, but I have never seen them in Siamburi's. The ones I have are warm on the counter. https://expatfoodsthailand.com/shop/bread-pastry/greggs-sausage-rolls-4pack/

Apaches and A10s blasting Iran assets at Hormuz
There are "people from other countries" and then there is the "islamic fundamentalists". The whole problem stems from a failure to differentiate, obviously the US learned nothing from the Taliban.

British Tourist Stranded in Thailand Amid War Delays
Both are in the past and both are in the present, if you want to look in that direction. Most of us have learned to live with both.

Good to hear. I am due to go next month and was hoping the flights may be a bit less crowded.

UK will not rejoin EU or enter customs union, Starmer’s Europe minister says
Spoken like a true brexiteer, and obviously you think the horse lies through it's teeth as well. The reluctance to post the real figures is noted. "Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) [footnote 2], including the self-employed, are the backbone of the UK economy. With 5.5 million firms making up 99.8% of the business population, they provide 60% of private sector jobs and generate over £2.8 trillion in turnover [footnote 3]. Our entrepreneurs and businesses are a source of incredible passion, ideas and agility. They drive growth through innovation, competition and job creation" https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/backing-your-business-our-plan-for-small-and-medium-sized-businesses/backing-your-business-our-plan-for-small-and-medium-sized-businesses-web-version

British Tourist Stranded in Thailand Amid War Delays
Quite, a couple of weeks ago a friend of mine who had flown with Emirates didn't like the uncertainty and asked me to check out flights back to the UK. There were many available via the European hubs or China. In the end he opted for convenience and paid the extra for Thai Airways direct into Heathrow.

Middle East Turmoil Leads to 1,000 Flight Cancellations to Thailand
It is a mixed bag with each airline dealing with the problem differently. Some airlines such as Emirates and Air Arabia are not that far short of back to normal, while others like Qatar and Gulf Air are struggling. The media will always focus on the lame duck. The real elephant in the room for the future is energy cost, a double whammy with people facing a reduction in disposeable income along with a rise in air fares. Not looking good for long haul tourist dstinations in general.

You should also have a look in "Settings", look for "apps" and then "startup" to check if the app is listed. If so it would be better if disabled and started manually when required.

Making a 90 day report first time in a few years.
Probably at Jomtien but it was not required for me at the other office in Chonburi.
