I wanted to push it in the hollow of the Hollow block and cut out a socket to pull the cable through

(Chase?)

But the spark is happy to clip the cable ON to the finish -

I just want him to fix it ON the Hollow block (fixing too weak?)

Then cover the whole wall with the finishing cement "plaster"...

The socket would protude a little but not as bad as Conduit...

Generally, naked cable in the render (like the UK) is frowned upon, you need to use conduit but it can be chased into the wall.

If your sparks is insisting on surface conduit, get a new sparks.

I am completing a house, concrete framed, with hollow/cinder block infill.

Can I fit the wiring to the hollow block then cement in with the final finish?

The electrician I have found says I must fit conduit on TOP of the finish - ugly!!

Usually hotels prefere 3 days or more, especially if you book Fri/Sat you may get Sun free (if u buy dinner there...)

In ASIA there are many "Offers" sometimes are for 5 nights but I have found they have
"2 rooms left at this rate" to be flexible They fill them up - then "release" another 2 ...

Plus some hotels will offer walk-in rate specials - 3 for 2 etc - that are not on the internet.

Best to arrive before 2 pm to negotiate the best room at the best rate.

Hoteliers management and staff want rooms to be booked quickly and for as long as possible

Some Tuk-Tuks and Taxi drivers will sit around all day until they get the price THEY want.

That is just NOT the way the WORLD WORKS!

Thailand will NOT get genuine tourists...

Airplane carries more PAX.... and an Airline Company makes money on some routes and not alot on others. Taxis/vans carry less. In Baltimore, it is 100 USD from the airport to my brothers home.

I am just saying....cannot compare the two...

I think the cost of Tuk Tuk and Taxis is the least of your worries, Drivers on drugs is the bigger issue here. 75 tour buses stopped on Patong hill road and drivers drug tested, 16 drivers tested positive.

Many countries require 6 months passport validity. All of ASEAN does wit the exception of Thailand that allows for entry with passport long enough for your length of stay for some countries but not all.

Filipino gov isnt protecting their people. They do whatever they can to keep their citizens at home, even though philippines dont have work for their citizens.

She is Not returning to Philippines

We are going for a holiday/vacation Then returning to Thailand "home"

A. because we have applied for a New passport.

B. because of the 6 month rule....

Normally the her passport would of been cancelled as soon as the application for a new passport is received. Which means she should not attempt traveling outside the country.using it.

How long does it take to get the new passport back? For many countries it only takes a few weeks to get it back.

The passport has not expired. We have applied for a New passport

The Philippine Embassy gave back the old (Unexpired) passport.

That passport has all the stamps.

We will/want to go to Philippines during Songkran holiday.

New passport will be ready when we get back in time for next 90 day.

(otherwise we could have just gone on the old passport -

no need for 6 months expiry rule cos we are not tourists...?)

Lion air is as big as airasia and originates from Indonesia. They have subsidiaries in Malaysia called malindo for some strange reason. It should be lion air malaysia for branding purposes. Their plan is to transform KL airport as a Hub for Indonesians to fly abroad as soekarno Hatta airport in Jakarta and changi maybe too congested. In other words, they are taking airasia by the neck and squeezing them in their own backyard. Besides, I think they control 80% of Indonesian domestic market of 200 million people.
The other lcc to look out for is jets tar owned by Qantas. But I think they are more interested in the developed market of Asia instead of developing new ones, like Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan apart from Australia.
