Did you ever noticed that those who are afraid are mostly the ones who get bitten. I agree a dog in a cage will only make him more aggressive. Those people afraid of dog should learn a little more about the dog language, the dog is showing his mood to you most of the time.
I agree – and I should be allowed to reciprocate to show my mood at the time !!

He's(policeman/accused) has also been to the hospital on two separate occasions in the last 2 days for knocking his head against the wall of his prison cell....
-
It amazes me when I see the results of these accidents.
I rarely see cars mangled in this way at home, yet it seems to be so common in Thailand,
You have to be going at some speed to wrap these cars around posts like they do.

In Bangkok, you certainly can. I had a business one for over 5 years( I had a work colleague who's been there over a dozen years - and still is). No issues re access and amount,
I had to have 24x7 access and it rarely failed.
Could be booked one month +, to one year.
Only visited Chang Mai a few times but I'm sure they have the same.

My wife and I used to drive to Cha-Am/Hua Hin early on a Saturday morning from Bangkok - leaving @5 a.m. I could guarantee I'd pass a few Army buses in convoy on the way - always in the right hand lane - even if it was quiet.
If even the "authorities" drive like that what do you expect from everyone else ????

Keep taking those meds - what are you on; Daily mail in the morning, Sun for lunch and finishing off with the Express (probably still keenly following the Diana story)

I've been on Madiplot (10mg) for a number of years (prescribed by Bumrungrad Hospital). Seems to keep my moderately high BP under control, with no side effects. Can be bought OTC.
+1 - I use the same & dosage ( my wife happens to be a doctor ). I think it's 17b a tablet.
Her advice is to go and see a doctor first, as they'll also do other tests to ascertain what is best for you.

I think some people may get side effects at times- like most vaccines.
My sister got hers last Friday in Leeds, England. AZ vaccine.
In her text
"Didn't feel a thing until evening, then I felt like somebody hit me with a bat, I had a fever, I was shaking, freezing but red hot to the touch and massive headache.
Started feeling better Sunday and fine now"My Mum(83) had hers before my sister and no problems

You can't have it both ways !
On this site - constant posts re bad driving, enforcement...
When they do enforce it you complain they are starting...
They have to start somewhere - hopefully a step in the right direction.

Same as the UK, it's always good to spread any savings above the gov't backed threshold across banks.
In the banking crisis this was obv' proved to be true...
-
It happened to us - even though I added a couple of days onto our holiday post official holiday ( the govt added a late one day hol' to the official one - seems to be a govt game to keep people on their toes )
Was there well before the first ferry - 1+ plus min, but still didn't make it. When we got on there was a massive queue.
When I go to Koh Chang now I always make sure there are no hols !!!
BTW - Colin(ZMF) if you're still there drop me a line ????

Ours have always come via ParcelForce - normal post both ends.
If you put a high value on the package ParcelForce will contact you re' import taxes before they will deliver it. I can't remember what the limit is, but if you have it at less than a 1000 baht, delivered to the door with no issues.

I'd be interested in a copy too please Peter.
In the past I've used cambridgefx and torfx to transfer into Thailand and DeeMoney to transfer out.
When I was transferring in I didn't have a necessity to prove it came from abroad, but will need that shortly for the visa

I never paid any Sin Sod.
My wife's a doctor, never married with no kids. I don't believe her parents were expecting one, the subject never came up.
We actually got married at the registry office in Bangkok - took about 30 mins in total.
We then went to the Oriental in BKK for 4 nights.
A week in Koh Samed at our favourite hotel.
Flew to Bali for 2 weeks, to a very nice hotel on the beach and then a gorgeous hotel inland.
Probably cost much more than the sin sod and the payment for a ceremony & we enjoyed it much, much more.
Never understood the need to spend huge amounts of cash on wedding ceremonies with all that stress.
BTW, her parents have never asked me for any money – maybe it was a marker ????

If it doesn't feel right( too many ifs and buts that can't be answered) - it isn't.
Stop now and stop wasting time and effort.
