  1. Well, I'm going to go against the grain on this one, and side with the much maligned Pattaya/Jomtien-Pattaya officials. If they got it right the first time, then how on Earth are they expected to accrue generational wealth for their cohorts and families ? To hear some of the opinions on here, you would think that once these developemental budget allocations have been tongue punched for, these highly esteemed stalwarts of community spirit would think "sod 'em" - regardless of living in Gomorrah ? Madness.
  2. Your missus can get a passport very easily and quickly - no visa required. If you just want a quick hand over - her i.d. would get her into no mans land and out again - you could meet there. Laos can enter easily with just i.d. card and nominal fee. I've been back here 5 Years - on tourist visas - all throughout covid - still here. I think you were unlucky at that particular border point - I wouldn't have gone back there, after your first attempt failed. Good luck with new ventures - I don't think you'll have a problem getting back in, if you want to.
  3. With a show of intelligence like that, I doubt I'd be giving her any pump-action.
  4. Can't confirm, but happy to take a wild stab at it. Sheath la France !
  5. In this French letter of address, was the President's allusion to condoms and a "small revolution" born out of arrogance, or was he just giving them a ribbing ?
  6. Technically, he had his fingers crossed behind his back whilst saying, 'finites - no double backs', so it doesn't count.
  7. Women sat on natural assets worth a fortune, should be exposed more often.
  8. I heard he was a staunch, right hand man, so should be ok. I have also been led to believe that many people are often prone to lose a thumb, or a finger or two, rear ending a pick-up.
  9. My understanding is that the Burmese man, although small, had still managed to draw a large crowd, even after two previous attempts at an impromptu snake show that day. The police,. suitably impressed at his pulling power let him off, as technically, the third time was considered a charm.
  10. You're not based in the UK, by the sound of it. ????
  11. Thoroughly explore all options before registering anything here - really weigh it up well. I wouldn't do it just for the sake of a LT visa. Feasibility and Laws may have changed since, but after going through the whole process Years ago, and crawling out at the other end - in retrospect I would find a different way, if I could ever manage to come up with a good idea. Obviously your motivations, financial standing, acumen are your own, and I wish you all the best with your endeavours.
  12. So do you have a recommendation ? This person asked for one, so your counter falls flat on its' face. Personally I would say to the OP - if you have any 'nice' bits that you don't want damaged, wash them yourself by hand, or in a public machine - but check the machine first. I very rarely use Laundry service, but when I have, I always tip - such a thankless task.
  13. I will say again - that throw away comment was another poster's quote. JCauto's quote. You make no sense to me. I cannot engage with your intellect - not for the want of trying. Goodbye.
  14. Is this neverthelessism ? You would do well not to patronise me - I am well versed in the King's - Years of classical studies and remain steadfastly alakefic to unnecessary diatribe. You would do well also not to try to compel speech or perspective., which seems to be a reoccuring trait of yours. I was under the impression this is supposed to be an intellectual arena ? There was no false equivalence - it was a response to a self confessed 'lefty' s' verbatim., as I quote:- "The "Far Left" is a fantasy that was invented to make people forget just how extreme the Right has become" which is obviously a flawed bias, and if you want to play pedantic antagonist, a statement unrelated to the factual issue at hand. The guy conceeded the point in an honourable fashion, and I thanked him. If you would read my subsequent posts, you would realise your interpretation of events is completely incorrect. I fail to see how I could take a more objectified view, but seeing as you want to make such suggestions, do you have any thought on the weaponisation of nazi guilt as a proposition ? Pertaining to the the far left being a fantasy, do you have a view on advocacy for initiation of gender reassignment surgery on minors as a proposition ? I would be a fool to assume this wasn't to be classed as an act of far right extreme ideology, or to assume the perpetrators motives without evidence, but I would suggest it's reactionary, to some degree.
  15. That quote was from JCauto - I was responding to him. Perhaps you should direct your post towards him ?
  16. I responded to a concession by the op - I've got no idea what you mean.
  17. Excuse my tardy reply - housework completed and a pot of ganja tea simmering. To me it's not problematic - I'm always up for fair play - and I'm happy for you to have your own viewpoint - I must be out of date on whataboutism. I alluded to extremities on all sides, as a balance to an inconsistancy I saw. Extremes are different to different people, in different ways. Proclivity sees the precipitation of powerful political movements, and their tangible affects / effects, from both sides. I'm in no doubt that extremist elements are everywhere in society - but the ultra leaning are usually in a minority. I'm more interested in the catalyst of such an event - the cognitive - everyone has their own justification for an action - this is my fascination. Here's a bit about me - Born in the U.K. - 1 of 12 - I've travelled almost all of my life, and have lived in SE. Asia for around 30 Years now - harmoniously, without religious or political discourse - I prefer to transcend ontological impasse. If you're looking for posts, I'm not on here much - I like to limit my time on the internet, and the anomie it nurtures. Mine are usually <deleted> one liners, without connotational malice.
  18. Nor that your statement is incorrect, of course there are radicals on all sides, and even some sides that we as normal people probably don't even know exist. Right - thankyou.
  19. I've got no idea of what you're talking about, and bear in mind, I am talking English instead of German - I'm struggling with your interpretation. Regardless of the story - is this to be taken as a fact ?
  20. You're wrong in your interpretation of my post and of me. I gave an opinion based on a balanced viewpoint - I certainly don't advocate violence. I have no political leanings towards extremist views in any sense, but nevertheless find such stories evocative. Not interested in any of the groups you started electronically shouting about - nor did I make the slightest inference. It's down to your view. To say there aren't radicals on all sides is completely wrong, in my opinion.
  21. Can't have one without the other, generally - there are, without a doubt, radical factions on all sides - depending on your interpretation of societal norms. "Far left" and equally "Far right" is no fantasy for some.
