    I am not so sure

    I remember this

    https://explore.newsner.com/father-shoots-man-raped-his-son-news-cameras-child-abuse-molestation-gary-plauche

That is a form of justice dealt by someone who does not have wealth nor cares who does

This justice was dealt by a loved one/father of the injured party

Does no matter how much money or what Boss RedBull's life is like

All it takes is someone who loved that dead police officer to just say it does not matter & I will hand out the justice myself because it is obvious this system is broken.

It was dealt with in the THAI way . Repatriation was paid to the family for his death thats how it works. His avoiding the judicial side of it is how it works for the elites in this country. For all intents and purposes this matter is closed. Yes your rare as hens teeth scenario may play out but I severely doubt boss has or ever will spend one day looking over his shoulder or wallowing in any guilt.

Another thing you have over looked is its one thing to shoot a nobody it's a whole other thing to face the retribution of one of the most powerful families in Thailand in a country that relies on face, nepotism, connections and cronyism.

And your wrong the "system isn't broken" it's working exactly the way it was designed to. This isn't America.

Yes he might be back in Thailand in 5 years but that doesn't make him bulletproof should someone will seek restitution for his crime, i don't really envy the rest of his life billions or not...

Hahahah is your life a movie? No one gives a <deleted>. NOTHING will ever happen. He's got a life most people couldn't even imagine let a lone live. What a ridiculous comment.

For me going shopping is a major experience. But in saying that, certain criteria have to be met for me to actually enjoy the visit.

A couple of years ago I was unfortunate enough to pick up a cart that was determined to not go where I pushed it. I complained to one of the workers and she simply laughed. That was Ban Dung Tesco. I didn't go back there for over 12 months. But that was 7 years ago. Now that same store is a 'Lotus', and more importantly, has a nice 20 baht shop outside. I like the bargains at the 20 baht shop. Earphones 20 baht; Set of 12 batteries 20 baht; selection of screwdrivers and spanners, again all 20 baht.

Now when I go to Big C, I rush off to the pet food section. If tinned cat food is on a special I usually buy 10 tins. If it's the usual price of 36 baht I buy 4 or 5. The cheapest cat food in Lotus is 40 baht.

A few years ago there was a check-out girl in Tesco that was - shall we say - well endowed.   Very efficient she was. Her till was always popular. But she left and I don't go in there anymore. But not because she is not there.

Wow. Most people would just get a different cart.

Yes, they are. But the difference is that they do so in the 21st, rather than the 19th or early 20th century. But of course, more and more is one reminded on what one learnt in history class at school, that happened a hundred years ago, happen- ing (in similar ways) now, with the difference, of course, that the players are others, and the dictators don't sport moustaches anymore... (And China will use their guns. They did so in the past against the Soviets and Vietnamese, not to mention the Korea War, and, just recently, agains Indian border troops. Also, how do you think, they intimidated people living in Bhutanese and Nepali border areas they are encroaching onto? - So far, the Chinese are careful not to get into direct military conflict with the U.S., but they will sooner or later. The question is not 'if', but 'when'. Also, some 'smaller' Western countries like Australia and New Zealand have been threatened recently 'not to get mixed up in Chinese territorial claims'.)

Australia and less so New Zealand who without China buying the lion share of their goods and sevices would be far worse off, who unilaterally agree with their One China policy but yet have to rattle their sabres occassionally to appease the US who they perpetually suck up to. Hypocrites both.

Sure, that's an issue. But that's not what you were saying. You spoke about individuals selling to foreigners. Drop the deflection thing.

Look up analogy then get back to me lol. I dont think individuals can sell foreign ports or water leases. Jesus wept. Did you think there was actually someone selling a car who couldnt choose between whitey and a chinese gentleman? ????????????????

This is a joke right? with more than 1 million people allowed to grow this stuff and very soon sell and export it, how would you who is a 'criminal'? i still don't know what they were thinking allowing sucha free hand to anyone to grow and sell as if it was some common vegetable...

Used to be one of the most common crops on the planet. Until of course of the cotton industry and the puritanical US government with its predilection for prohibition started sticking their beak in during the 1950's..learn your history

    https://www.history.com/news/marijuana-criminalization-reefer-madness-history-flashback

Cannabis, also known as hemp or marijuana, evolved about 28 million years ago on the eastern Tibetan Plateau, according to a pollen study published in May. A close relative of the common hop found in beer, the plant still grows wild across Central Asia. More than 4000 years ago, Chinese farmers began to grow it for oil and for fiber to make rope, clothing, and paper.

    Couldn't agree more.

I did try that with a big family contingent to Hua Hin.

I found we spent hours shopping for food and cooking.

Clean every three days, 1,200 if you asked for an extra day cleaning.

Towels didn't match and the pantry didn't really have descent cookware.

Beautiful condo but I prefer a hotel on the beach with the huge buffet breakfast.

     Maids everyday with turndowns service.

Walkable to bars, restaurants, and shopping.

In the end it would have been the same price as a stay the Hua Hin Marriott or Hilton with 3 adjoining rooms.

Interesting time.  It was the first days of the pandemic.

Hua Hin became virtually empty of tourists.

Towels didn't match? Now that's the epitome of a first world problem.

  8. Uhm, because they can perhaps? Why do people go camping?, why do people hire campervans?, why do people only stay in fan rooms?, why do people only use air bnb?, Why do people stay in backpackers? Why do people stay in exclusive ridiculously expensive hotels. Stay tuned for the next exciting instalment of why do people not do exactly the same as I do.

Exactly. The best path for us is Makro first and then what you don't find there look at Lotus.

Unfortunately I will have to do the 200 or 240 km roundtrip to Khon Kaen or Udon (better) to get the real goodies (once a month or so).

Straight to villa UD town? Lol

Your statement is a bit over the top, but yes it is true that many NZ'ers are going to OZ for better wages, plus the probable law change that covers kiwis for health/social services while in Aussie.

But on the flip side NZ is starting to get many Aussie tourists now that travel is easier.

Yeah we go on holidays. Kiwis come and never leave.

Obviously you've never done business with Chinese people.  If you sell it for 10k, they offer you 11k, then after you're locked-in contractually, you get a phone call that they buyer took the car to a garage where they discovered a bad transmission which needs 4k to repair, so he'll only give you 7k or he's going to walk.  The 7k is cash so you need to decide whether you'll take the cash or start the sales all over again.

More racist tropes. But ok ill run with your fallacy. STILL the option is not sell. If you do dont bitch after the fact or take a better offer. Some very true colours coming out in this thread.

Not necessarily, modern vehicles are designed and required to deform easily in impacts to absorb kinetic energy.   But why not suggest the pickup driver was lying, or at fault, when the 14-year old girl, on the phone, rode head-on into him, eh?

Where you there? You seem to know a lot about it. So no one has ever lied in Thailand ????????????

No car drivers here drive too fast or use mobiles right?
