Just got back to Aus last night. Thai need to change the slogan "Land of Smiles" to "Land of the rip off". Alcohol, high season prices, air fares and the list goes on. Thailand needs to wake up to the competition that surrounds them at a much lower cost. The baht is still over valued. TAT can claim they have all these tourists visiting however a big percentage of these travellers are family returning to see relatives after the Covid disaster.

Goverment attitude to tourists will keep middle class good quality tourists away. Maybe the Gov needs to employ some Vietnamese and Cambodian tourist offficials to show them how its done

Advertising and marketing agencies all over the world are known for their apppreciation of business put their way. The decision maker is often rewarded handsomely with all sorts of thankyous, generally to the order of 15% of the billing account. Like to know who signs off on the Government advertising.
