Poor etiquette. Actually at the beach is sinful to beach people. -

Did you do any of those things before the smart phone. It was possible. -

Where would I be without a smart phone....exactly where I am now. I do have one only because they are better for storing contacts and sending SMS than the small ones with a limited keyboard. It stays on my desk, not carried everywhere except in the car. I have the internet on my computer for information and when I need to talk to someone I use the phone line, do not need to look at them when talking as I already know what they look like. -
Mate, it is the CBA and is something that only started in the last 8-9 months. Before that their exchange rate was terrible and they charged a fee for each transfer. They now give a better rate than OFX, usually about 0.2 baht below the XE mid rate. My transfers are $20,000 when the AUD/THB rate is above 23-24 and $5-10,000 when I have to accept the current rates. If it ever gets to 24 again I will bring a lot more over as a gift to my wife.

If it is only sciatica I have found these simple exercises work really well. My problem stems from L4-L5 vertebrae. Look for "McKenzie self-treatments for sciatica" on the internet.

If you want more information on me here it is: I knew about the 2 year rule so 18 months before I went to the local Centrelink to discuss it with them. The local staff were unsure so they made a phone call to someone higher up whose opinion was I would be okay as I was not living permanently in Thailand and I still used my car and caravan in Australia. Unfortunately the higher up was wrong. Yes I did qualify for the OAP but my income at the time meant that I would only get beer money from it. My point was to just get on the system in case everything went wrong (as in the crash in 2008). Fortunately that has not happened. No desire to live in Australia just for beer money but even as it was only $50 per week it would now amount to $25000 since they denied the application.

It was quite simple really. I had been paying my taxes every year for 45 years, and still paying them at the time of application as my money and investments were in Australia. The taxes I paid in some years were enough to retire on as I had a good business. But some Einstein bureaucrat wrote a rule that you must be resident in Australia for the 2 years before applying for the pension. As I had provided for myself to retire early much of that 2 years was spent in Thailand.

You can do your physical work in shirt. coat and tie but when I am working on my property I look like a real dag in work boots, shorts and singlet. The locals don't care but think I am stupid for working in the sun. -

You are having a laugh. "Dignity and Self-Esteem: He carries himself with poise and self-assurance, holding himself in high regard without being arrogant... Good Manners and Etiquette: He adheres to high standards of etiquette, demonstrating impeccable manners in all social interactions..." Absolutely impossible when you are doing physical work in 36c heat. "holding himself in high regard" So you decide that you are in high regard and not what others judge you to be, on your actions. Ego has no limitations for some people. -

Are you having a laugh? Or do you score 10 out of 10 for each of them. You also left out the most important of all...humility.... if you are talking about yourself. -
