  1. Will Taksin's golf course encroachments put him in jail as well.
  2. Okay Wally W. You are a typical Yuppie, all about style with no substance.
  3. Australia could start by cleaning up the bikie gangs first but that has proven too hard for them.
  4. Why isn't the rich family named here. It has been all over Thai news channels.
  5. A Yuppie could be defined as someone who thinks a cup of coffee is important in his life.
  6. Don’t bet me wrong here as I am not a coffee addict and only drink "instant" (Moccona espresso at the moment) but you reminded me of a visit to a coffee plantation in NSW, Australia. An area not known for its quality of coffee but he owner went on a diatribe about instant not being coffee. So ever since then I have believed what she said but could not get into the Yuppie coffee scene.
  7. At last count I have contributed 17,000,000 to the Thai economy. Wipe your snotty nose.
  8. syc•o•phant (ˈsɪk ə fənt, -ˌfænt, ˈsaɪ kə-) n. a self-seeking, servile flatterer; fawning parasite.
  9. The WEF is the joke and any sycophant that supports their world improver programs. Hope you a renting already.
  10. You have missed a few but if Thailand gets in that crew it is domed. Did Taksin attend the latest Forum, unlike many that are covering their As from previous attendances.
  11. I have not used Room Sketcher for a couple of years so cannot remember what is required. You will need to pay, was USD15, for printing but maybe also to save your work. If I remember correctly you can do 5 different projects for that fee and each project can have multiple layers. Site plans are a problem unless you have square boundaries. You cannot input coordinates or bearing and distance (vectors) and doing it by angles was not accurate enough.
  12. If you believe the gospels, neither. Read the bit about the 7 brothers with the same wife.
  13. Yes, but only the free version. Have designed a few houses with it but eventually did not buy the land they were designed for (Thai vendors can be difficult). Did all of the extensions to the house we eventually bought. If using the free version you will need to pay a once off fee to print your design. This was given to a draftsman to do the building plans. The Pro version will do the building plans for another fee buy do not know if they would be acceptable in Thailand.
  14. Try Room Sketcher for the design. It has a free version as well as paid for Pro software. The free version is good for 2D design but you will probably need to go to Pro for the 3D.
  15. Have to agree with the other posters. We put PVC guttering (brown not white but it is cheaper) around our older house and a new garage. It is a much better look than the old metal gutter and what the blue pipe would look like. If that does not matter to you okay and do it the dodgy Thai way with the blue pipe. Unfortunately the do not have the aluminium gutters here.
  16. Is there a time limit on calls for the month or as long as you like.
  17. Tokays can make a lot of noise especially when chasing another one. But if it was them you should have heard their calls.
  18. Good thinking, especially as you have insurance.
  19. I will disagree with that. As I said they grossly over service what is needed.
  20. Sheryl knows her stuff but Rutnin is over serviced and horribly expensive (unless an Arab Sheik) because of it. I have been advised that I need a vitrecomy to clear my floaters. Having had one done there it would be an absolute last resort.
  21. On reading your original post I agree, so asked the wife if the puu yai has said anything. We are a small village that has a Line account to let everyone know what is happening. But nothing on this so I will do it online for both of us.
  22. So did I (in Thai) but my wife said it was a scam
  23. Yes mate. I holidayed in Samui for 5 years before moving there and buying a bike. I had been riding them since I was sixteen but thought it better not to ride in Samui until familiar with the roads and traffic there. Still dropped the bike a couple of times due to loose gravel on the road but made sure I did not hit anything.
  24. When travelling with the wife we go through the Thai citizen area together. Would be interesting to know if the pink ID is sufficient if travelling alone.
