  1. 3cm might be enough for dry season but will fail in the wet. It looks like the OP is going to wait until the dry, which is a good idea, but will still need to be watered in.
  2. I was only commenting on what the OP said he would do (30cm).
  3. I agree but I have seen them occasionally around here. Most problems with driveways/roads are caused by water. From the photo there does not seem to be much slope to take the water away. He will need catch drains down either side with a few (several) tail drains to take the water away from the driveway. If he is going to build at the end of the driveway he has to remember the weight of cement/delivery trucks is different to cars. That is why compaction is so important to cater for all vehicles.
  4. With any driveway or road you need to compact the base as best you can. Thais will use a backhoe but a roller is better. If that is compacted and dry you should not need the weed mat. When you lay the heen klook make sure you water it as you are compacting. It would also be better to lay it in two layers of 150mm instead of the one 300mm.
  5. Don;t worry, he will bring it back or have new scheme just before the next election.
  6. Yer, the snakes i can handle but the spiders are something else.
  7. How would hospital staff know how to identify the snake species, unless they were specifically trained to identify snakes. In other counties (Red Cross) the recommendation is do not take the snake to the hospital. As the earlies poster said they will use an anti venom depending on the symptoms.
  8. It is al the Chinese fault. Who said " may you live in interesting times"
  9. They have a better system as well if you cannot do online.
  10. Yes. If someone with an unknown number really need to talk to you they can send a SMS telling you they need to.
  11. Try using an English definition of the meaning, there are plenty of source on the internet.
  12. That would be good but is contrary to what other people have been told by a different official.
  13. If the Revenue dept take a simplistic view (likely as it is the easy way) all remittances will be looked at as income and you will have to prove otherwise.
  14. The TM30 is stapled in the passport. Immigration up here prefer it that way for each extension.
  15. Well he was smart enough to buy near the bottom of the market in 2016. Bad luck about the rest.
  16. W11 is only a secondary use to Ubuntu as it was bundled with the laptop. If you do not mind it wanting to know what you had for breakfast it is not a difficult switch from W10. The never ending upgrades are just as bad.
  17. You are lucky that it has taken so long, but do have a friend that is still drinking well into his 80's. My reduced intake started around 72 and now struggle with 2 x 490ml cans every day.
  18. The pricing will be interesting when they bring the DMK-SYD route back on. Not that I prefer AirAsia but it will help not having to travel between the airports to connect flights. As I have got older the many connecting flights are a pain in the A. Maybe the family will see me for Christmas.
  19. Sorry to see the OP has joined the old man's club. From what I am told it will get worse the older we get.
  20. Says an American
  21. I hope you do not have a problem with your weight. One Thai dish is always enough for me.
  22. Not all of us come from there or even wish to go there.
  23. Sorry about that. I was replying to the OP and have no idea how you were quoted. And only half way through my first beer.
