  1. Really? You can't actually believe this nonsense. We can't question the government during health care emergencies and even question if it is an emergency which Covid was not IMO? What type of fragile person feels that governments should control our lives when they decide there is an emergency? Reality check governments have and will do terrible things. The liberals back a few decades were non-conformists and now they get wet over being told what to do.
  2. I know but I do think vaccines helped. Fauci and the like really screwed the pooch during Covid. Constantly fibbing to protect us and telling us what to beleive. Many on this forum thought he was the second coming and many still do. Terrible human being.
  3. I am or was and quit for personal reason about a year ago. Cannabis is fine and better imbibed with edibles that even further reduce the inconvenience other may experience. Some really get agro over the smell of weed and it is their right. THe main issue have with weed is ease of use and how prolific it has become in daily life for smokers. Could you imagine if you replaced joints with a fifth of alchohol. All the young crowd constantly out in public sipping at work and all around town. Pot is IMO better than alchohol when you compare casual drinkers but many weed users have become chronic smokers and this is disturbing. Some can do it with no consequences but people are foolish to think most don't suffer in some manner. Long ramble and not sure what the answer is but the "it is better than alchohol" response certainly takes a little more reflection than your response above. BTW, alchohol is terrible for a person but I for one do enjoy it but try not to need it! Currently 1 week sober because the alchohol desire was too controlling and that always eventually causes me to take a break.
  4. THe vaccines probably prevented millions of deaths but not 100% sure. We could have just locked down all old unhealthy people, diabetics, and obese while the rest of society lived a semi normal existance. Childhood obesity skyrocketed during the lockdown and hasn't stopped climbing. Lockdowns were terrible and weren't needed for this virus. BTW, the global economy didn't recover quickly. Are you from the USA? Most the world has struggled since the Covid.
  5. Maybe so but you are basing this off of what other than a stupid rant. Compared to most countries America has been killing it the last 15 years. The EU and GB have been in the toilet. I do think Americas leaving the rest of the developed world in the dust over the last 15 years are numbered. Too much debt and Trump might be the final straw but maybe some of what Trump is doing will be beneficial. WTFK...
  6. I would go to 10 specialist for giggles if I had the extra funds to blow. You will get 10 different opinions and then you can randomly pick one. I have tons of experience doing the above until I realised they are just guessing most the time and are too busy to really dive into your specific issue. I have had them tell me the craziest things. You have been resting for a year? That is a joke right? Start moving and improve your range of motion. Elliptical, rowing machine, walking... People are always looking for doctors/pharmacists to fix what we are perfectly capable of resolving our self most the time. Do you really think a doctor knows more about your body than you do? Definitely exceptions but I rely on myself first but realise there is a time and a place for a specialist.
  7. And the squirt gun brigade of doogooders that sprayed those not wearing masks. I was running and got squirted by a very fat old lady that should have been home avoiding contact with people but she was clueless because nobody was allowed to state the obvious. The odds of dying were exponentially impacted by how unhealthy you were and many vaccine tyrants refused to discuss this obvious truth. Strange and disgusting times.
  8. "Worryingly, there has also been one recorded Covid-19-related death during this timeframe." Are you serious??? This is newsworthy? I bet the person that died was obese and diabetic. Yawn
  9. The stick beating sounds excessive. Do you expect them to keep their dogs indoors with AC? When it floods our dogs are left outside also. They have no problem surviving. Weird post.
  10. Bag of 4 dropped in our yard 3 years ago. I remember thinking the same. In the end we tried to feed them milk and tuna. We were clueless and 2 died the first 2 nights. The other two survived and the wife never had cats. She fell in love with them. One disappeared 2 months ago and surprised they lasted in the jungle that long. Feed it and see what happens is my recommendation. The other cats may kill it or it survives.
  11. Was that a typo - 71.6% delinquency? 7.16% seems possible. The world just seems to add unfathomable debt with no real consequences since the financial crisis. I have given up trying to forecast the repercussions after being wrong for years.
  12. those numbers reflect what I have experienced. Basically no inflation except a brief period in 2022. Just a hunch but I think many Thais are sinking in debt and have little disposable income and hence the tame inflation numbers. Everybody seems happy in my area but the level of manic spending on homes and cars has cooled.
  13. Agree, simply weird how some people get off deriding Thais and it is ironic in this case. He is insulted by Thais looking down on tourists smoking weed. He also compares two well dressed Thai business men to tourists smoking. One stands out a little more? BTW, he will never let it go but will just store in his noggin with all the other petty things Thais do wrong. Whatever floats your boat I guess but seems like a pathetic life.
  14. OK, you are quite the winner. Is life really that bad that you need to insult everyone. Relax and have some fun it really isn't that bad 🙂
  15. No, just what I think. I could be insincere and state that I'm a fat slob like many expats here in Thailand. You seem upset - hmm I wonder why...
  16. Maybe but I seriously doubt it impacts the latest numbers in the slightest. Hope Trump prevails and will just sit back and watch this drama play out over the next few years. 1 month or even 3 months at this point tell us little.
  17. I've had some aquaintances the got off on the transactional relationships with young girls. They had no interest in a bond and were only interested in a quick fix. Rarely were they fulfilled and happy individuals. The type I could hang with but would never want as a friend. I'm sure they had friends but not my type.
  18. Can you imagine 90% of posters here including me trying to pull uni women. Hey I'm good looking and fit but closing in on 60. I think I'll stay in my lane and there are beautiful 50+ women out there but it isn't easy to find them. Most here just resort to quick fixes and convince themselves that feeding the addiction is satisfying.
  19. The condo that my x now owns on the beach had a low balcony wall and loved it. I think it why people like negative edge pool with a view. Definitely worth the risk IMO.
  20. I've noticed about a 15% increase on most items since inflation reared its ugly head in late 2021. Not really that bad and amounts to about 3.5% compounded annually. Went to the USA and it seemed much more of an issue. Restaurants here are a little more expensive but in the USA it ridiculously expensive. In the end my spending hasn't gone up at all and am under budget 9 out of 10 months.
  21. Since the beginning of time and any country. That should be easy 🙂 Insane spending over the last 15 years have boosted the USA economy. Conservatives and liberals both have done it. I think Trump realises a recession soon would be better than later. He can exit with a growing economy. Hmm, actually have no idea what his intentions are....
  22. https://shopee.co.th/น้ำมันลู่วิ่งไฟฟ้า-น้ำมันหล่อลื่นลู่วิ่ง-บำรุงรักษาสายพาน-Treadmill-Silicone-Lubricant-oil-น้ำมันหยอดลู่วิ่ง-30-มล-i.48456371.3153476600 I use the treadmill about 10 hours a week and put almost a full bottle under the belt each month. If you use it for 3-5 hours you could probably do it once every 2 months but it is only 59 baht a bottle. You can google how to apply it or just do it like I do. Cup my hand and squeeze about 1/3 the bottle into cupped hand. Start rubbing on the top of the board under the belt and work your way to the bottom with the rest of the bottle. It is messy but a only take a few minutes to get 90% of the silicone off your arms and the rest seems to disappear in an hour or two. It is boring after a week or two so better lineup some media to consume. I watch UFC and listen to audio books.
  23. I bought during covid in 2020 to travel with in my camper and it is no longer available on Lazada. Assume the Chinese company went bankrupt. I would buy a treadmill that doesn't incline. Put bricks or anything that will put it an incline. The incline motors are another headache so this eliminates the incline motor ( still will have a belt motor). I have bought my last 2 treadmills on Lazada and only bought models with at least a couple hundred reviews. Ignore the 5 star reviews and read the rest. My current treadmill (10k baht) looks good and has been great. I wanted a treadmill that could be operated by bluetooth because usually the electronic speed and incline buttons malfunction before the motors. With bluetooth you don't need buttons. This treadmill also is no longer available on Lazada. The buttons stopped working a year ago but the bluetooth functionality has been great. If you keep it around 10% and you are under 100 kilo, a 1.5 continues horse power motor should be sufficient. Here is a treadmill that looks identical to the treadmill that was in the camper. Go with the highest HP motor which is 4 hp but probably 1.5 continues HP. https://www.lazada.co.th/products/keep-going-max-20-i261666379-s20868920165.html? It is tiny but another advantage of using it at steep inclines is your stride is short and no need for a long belt. Make sure you buy belt lube and put in under the belt monthly.
  24. I'm an avid treadmill user and have been since 2008. Walking pads are great but eventually you might want to increase effort and hard to do with a walking pad. Problem though is that home treadmills/walking pads are not durable unless you spend 100k+. You might get lucky but I've burned through them until I changed to only incline usage which uses very little power and impact forces. At 10% inclines even a cheap(6k baht) treadmills I bought to put in a camper and used 10+ hours a week lasted 3+ years and would have lasted longer if I didn't leave outside on occasion where it got rained on. It literally used less than 10 watts of power at 15% inclines because the user and gravity is producing most of the belt rotating power needs.
