"By the same logic, i.e. none, your name should be "Little Sambum", like it or not!" Childish! If you include a place name in your forum name, it is natural to assume that you have some connection with that place. As you have already denied any connection with the most popular/largest Liverpool, I am assuming you have some connection with a smaller one. For your (and everybody else's) information, the "sam" in my name implies that I am from Samui, and the "bum" is nothing to do with my anatomy, rather to do with my state of existence - happy now? This conversation has gone far as far as it needs to go, as I have already said - childish and argumentative, so I have already made my point - you have made yours, so bye bye - wherever you are from, and do have a pleasant day!

".............the decriminalization of cannabis and hemp will become a new tourism trend for Thailand rather than a negative soft power." Next paragraph:- "He wrote his statement online yesterday, July 14th, that marijuana will definitely become a soft power for the country" Think he's been smoking it already - must be the quickest turnaraounds on record!!!

This is all getting very childish and argumentative! Of course, there is more than one Liverpool, but the people from the most well known one are called Scousers ( the name coming from "Scouse" a type of stew.) So I assumed (wrongly as it turns out) that you were from the most well known one - maybe your avatar/forum name should be "Little Liverpool Lou"? When you use the name of a well known city as part of your forum name, people will obviously assume that you are from there, like it or not.

Oscar Wilde said (just his opinion, not a fact) "Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit but the highest form of intelligence". When I said "They say", it was a generalisation. As well you know - the same can be said of many quotations. "Well, one person said that once, in part,......." Usually, that's what happens isn't it? One person (usually a well known person or celebrity) makes a funny or witty comment and it is repeated many times by many people , hence "they say......." "Why do you (wrongly) think that I'm a Scouser?" Your profile "nom de plume" is a bit of a giveaway, in the same way as "London Lou" would imply that you were a Cockney (and yes, I realise that a true "Cockney" has to be born within the sound of Bow Bells!) or are you deliberately misleading people!

You know what they say about sarcasm - the lowest form of wit - you being a Scouser should understand that! The point is that I'm obviously not the only one, and if their P.R. Dept. had anything about them they would realise the potential high loss of sales through not having a "COD" option.

Bless your childlike "nativity."? (Possibly "naivete"??

C.O.D. every time! I tried another supplier for "farang foodstuffs" but no COD option, so they got no sale!

Part of the interview centred on what was the main difference between football in his day and how it compared to "today". He said (app) "Obviously there's more money, but the main difference I see is a tremendous lack of respect from the players - for the referee, the manager and even other players. In our day, you accepted the refs decisions, right or wrong, and just got on with the game, and you didn't dare argue with the manager or you faced getting dropped for the next game. And you had respect for your fellow professionals - you didn't fake a foul in order to try to get them booked, it just wasn't "sportsmanlike".

I find the opposite-nothing but problems with Shopee - they even say that someone else is trying to sign in to my account!

No surprise at all! Why don't they just make an announcement saying "until further notice"? I think it's because they like to:- (a) Think that the populace believe that they are carefully considering the facts before they announce another extension. (b) Think that the populace believe that it's nothing to do with staying in power and keeping protests off the streets and to an absolute minimum. As was reported a few months ago, Prayut allegedly said "I'm here to stay - I'm not going anywhere!"

"I highly encourage Aseannow to post a story about these folks." I wholly agree. A lot of expats have helped out during Covid, and their efforts (as far as I know) have not been recognised by the authorities/Government. Also, and I know it is trivial by comparison, but a lot of the voluntary work carried out in this country by expats/farangs like cleaning beaches etc is laughed at by the Thais who consider it below them to do such menial tasks. - "Aliens cleaning beaches - whatever next?" The Government should be actively encouraging people to take pride in their country ("Amazing Thailand?") but seem to be more interested in looking after their own interests. I am not saying that this situation is unique to Thailand, but surely in order to encourage tourists to visit here (which I believe is a Government priority?) one of the first things to do is to make it a more attractive place to visit, and not depend on ex pat/farang volunteers to be doing the job - clean beaches being a prime example. I have heard (no links, sorry) that in some cases voluntary workers have been told that they should have a work permit to carry out the work that they are doing - ridiculous! Thailand has opened the gates to tourism by dropping most Covid restrictions - how about making the place "cleaner" instead of recommending double pricing and more for tourist "attractions"?
