  1. You've been here long enough to know that once the police take you to court you ARE guilty - even if you're not, and pleading guilty gets a 50% reduction in your sentence!
  2. "There must have been an argument during which he used the usual for (four?)letter words." Why MUST there have been?
  3. He was out on his own at 4.40 am - is that enough?
  4. And perhaps not? Perhaps just a sober farang on his own seen as a fair target for these alcoholic animals?
  5. Why doesn't the headline read "Five THAIS arrested in Patong stabbing of British man"? Every other nationality is normally mentioned in the headlines- especially if they are "farangs"!
  6. Unlike the loudest voices in the bar - "Hey, man......." (You know who I'm talking about! The ones who have to let everyone within walking distance listen to their dialog (missspelt on purpose - hint no 2!))
  7. "What’s he doing out at that time............" Maybe being on holiday? Bars open until 4 am? What are an armed gang of Thais doing out at 4 am?
  8. Anti Brit post No 3 - coming in at post No 7!
  9. Sorry if you took it to mean yourself! Herewith my reply to your post where you asked :- "Proactive? I don't think you know what the word means" I posted:- "From "Vocabulary.com":- Active means "doing something." The prefix pro- means "before." So if you are proactive, you are ready before something happens. The opposite is being reactive, or waiting for things to unfold before responding." And my last sentence:- "Don't know what the word means"? Correct!" So I was in actual fact agreeing with you, but a certain poster began insinuating (in bad English!) that I needed a dictionary to get the definition, which was not the case, it was just to prove your/our point. My apologies for any misunderstanding!
  10. I was replying to this post - note the last line, and I didn't HAVE to refer to an online dictionary - I just thought I would point out the difference to "some people".
  11. While no one cares.."enough to do anything about it"
  12. "In related news, Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya authorities cracked down on the sale of vapes near schools, seizing 1.6 million baht worth of products. Led by the Consumer Protection Committee, the operation aims to protect public health, particularly children, from the dangers of nicotine addiction." I thought "vapes" were used by people to escape from the dangers of nicotibne addiction?
  13. "......................a government that was fairly elected." Really?
  14. Might've been! I find a lot of your posts confusing or misleading.
  15. My, aren't you clever! Well done Sherlock!
  16. Are you being deliberately obtuse?
  17. Oh, sorry, I thought because he was wearing his uniform, he was on duty?
  18. From "Vocabulary.com":- Active means "doing something." The prefix pro- means "before." So if you are proactive, you are ready before something happens. The opposite is being reactive, or waiting for things to unfold before responding. "Don't know what the word means"? Correct!
  19. So why is the cop on the left looking so happy? "Oh, look, I've got 2 big ones!"?
  20. If this is the last resort, I wonder what the first resort was? "Please boys, stop doing that or we'll tell your Dads"?
  21. "Anyone using a deadly weapon to threaten, harm or kill, regardless of the outcome should receive the death penalty." Case of exaggeration/overkill! I appreciate your sentiments, but if I come across a burglar in my house and I threaten him with a "deadly weapon" (Definition please - breadknife?) then I should receive the death penalty?
  22. Can't rush these things - it needs meetings and planning!
  23. Why? Maybe because they have to instal better quality CCTV to record night thefts of gold necklaces by ladyboys on Indian tourists in Pattaya?
