Does anyone know if you have a paid vaccine (Moderna) that you can take the booster before 6 months? Anyone had that experience? Do they deny you? ????
Other countries recommend boosters after 3-4 months now due to Omicron. No idea why Thailand is always weeks behind catching up with Covid news... even the vaccine companies say that you need 3 shots to be fully vaccinated now.46 minutes ago, TropicalGuy said:So six “yes” to all your points BUT the primary vax purpose is to stop infection which AZ surprisingly fails to do for Omicron so then it’s down to B & T cells to fight the infection and again I believe AZ,otherwise possibly the best vax at that , is not effective for Omicron. Possibly as non- mRNA. Hence AZ x3 not used.
I don't think Thailand is behind this time i.m.o they are before many other countries, it started yesterday with the booster vaccinations please look earlier in this thread , I think there is an template that describe the requirements , I got mine 3rd yesterday 1,2 AZ last one Aug 30th, Min 3 months from the second, yesterday Pfizer , this was in Pattaya... They apparently have a walk in tomorrow Friday at the Indoor Stadium East Pattaya , start at 8 am... Good luck

Free booster shoots at Chaiyaphruek Pattaya Stadium Today , Thursday and Friday (I wrote this yesterday)
Walk in covid-19 vaccinations available at Chaiyaphruek Pattaya Stadium. Today my wife and I went for our third shoot of covid vaccin this morning. We were there at 7.15 and there were 250 people ahead of us , finished at 9:30. Pfizer or AstraZeneca vaccin was available. Requirement older than 18 and the previous shoot if any was received at least three months before . People received not only the third jab even the second and the first was administered. Everything was professional performed..- 2

People received not only the third jab even the second and the first was administered. Everything was professional performed and was very smooth. I would estimate until 9:30 about 700-800 people showed up. A great option for you provided by Pattaya City/Banglamung. The vaccin was free. You need to provide ID or Passport and previous vaccination record if any , we got our info provide from the Mor Promt app. Good luck to all of you and don't miss this opportunity before Christmas ...

NOT 50000 tourist!!!
50000 arrivals. From which over 50% are Thai citizens and another 45% are expats retired or who have family or business.
Close to none are real tourists
STOP USING THE TOURISTS FOR TOTAL ARRIVALS!!!!!
Does the definition really matter ?

The GF heard this and stated "What the hell are they thinking". "Might as well start testing at Makro, and entrance to the parks"
Don't come to Thailand now , Wait until the country realize that covid is going to be here for decades , we have to learn to live with it like a flu. If Thailand want tourists the only cure is vaccinate 100% of the population and make it mandatory if necessary, only that will bring down the cases significantly until there is vaccin that can give a life long immunity. Unfortunately there is a problem here in Thailand that ignorant decision makers make up new rules on the fly, and I'm sorry to say it won't help...

Large part, probably majority, are thai citizens. They did not come for holidays, but rather to visit their families.
The rest are expats, businessmen, foreign workers.
They all came in on COE rules, as TP was just launched days before and with hiccups.
They were holding their return in October, waiting for liberalisation of rules from November.
There are 6 categories at TP application form (probably same was of CEO form), including travel/tourism, but those 13k are from all groups.
Those statistics will be played up by TAT as success, but in reality they are failure
Does it matter if they were tourists or not ? It's 13k travelers plus too Thailand. The thread is about how many of them were tested positive of Covid 19 . If comment's are given keep it within the subject, and stop elaborating what kind of permits etc. they hold.

Some boldness is required, on the part of the overly timid guys in charge here and the people. The economy is in tatters. The economic situation in Thailand is not getting any better.
Let's face it. The danger is from within. It is not the scary foreigners who are threatening Thailand, but rather the scary locals, especially those from Bangkok. So, let's man up why don't we? And start performing your job. Which is to man the roadblocks, and forbid the Zombies from leaving Bangkok for the next few weeks. And start locking up the super corrupt "Prayuth immigration men" on the borders. And close all the super cluster army bases and canning plants.
This comment really spot on , it was a long time ago I read something which is absolutely true to 100% , Thais should be afraid of themselves instead...

As always - foreign workers efforts honey coated while the Exploitation continues.
What you are stating is not true, this is not exploitation in terms of picking berries in Scandinavia. Scandinavians don't want to do the job, hence they are using foreign labor to do the job , I know for sure I'm Scandinavian...

And Thailand want to attract wealthy foreigners and tourists because they won't manage without us foreigners . it's a shame greed and a disgusting manor. Imagine if we would segregate Thais from native citizens in the country they choose to reside in. The law should be equal to everyone...

Do we have to quarantine 14 days upon arrival if we travel to Kap Cheung in Surin province from Pattaya Chonburi, that still is classified as a dark red zone. Please no guesses , only hard facts, many thank's in advance... What I understand there are no problem to entering the province , we just don't have the time for quarantine , (Both of us is fully vaccinated)

Anyone knows if there are any quarantine requirement for Surin Province in Isan ?

With only 13% fully vaccinated as of the end of last week. The customer base for resturans will be very decimated...

I'm confused......After the 1st AZ shot, I was given a date & time for the 2nd jab.
Thought this was bog standard - so why instructions about (re)registering for the 2nd???? What am I missing here?
No need to register , after the first jab you should see what you got in Mor Promt app , batch number and date along with location , you should also get a notification in the app of time and date for the second jab, I got mine a invite a few weeks after the first one and it supposed to be 12 weeks in between Applies to AZ after that or the same day you will get a certificate of vaccination in the app. Hope this helps

Received my second Astra Zeneca jab today at Central Marina, Second road, Pattaya, administered by Pattaya Memorial Hospital. Super professional activity by hospital staff , got in at 10:55, paperwork and vaccin, ready 5 minutes later +30 minutes resting. (Initially registration May 5 on Mor Prom and first jab June 7) Everything had been worked out flawlessly .
at 4pm got a message on the phone from the Mor Promt App. I got a (Thailand Certificate of Covid 19 Vaccination)
stating when I got my jab's what I got and where I got it... Some stuff really seem to work as I should.

Its unbelievable how so many Aseannow members, aka. expat-farangs, bitching and moaning over something that's going in the right direction, be happy for every little step forward instead, and note not many of us are not forced to be here, usually there is a home country to the vast majority of us if it gives a bad taste in the mouth to be here...

They are not sitting in a bar, but in open space, they can not infect someone , because no one will come there. In other places like the hotels in Panggna or Phuket it seems more dangerous than on a desolated beach... But of course foreigners, not even tourists ..... not allowed.. but Thais sitting together under a tree in or around a village ... no problem
They are doing the right thing , lockdown and restrictions won't help open up the country for everyones sake, just make it clear Covid is here to stay for decades... It's a Endemic like Influenza , just cope with it and get vaccinated .

Semi lockdowns seem to work when testing is decreased. Antigen Test Kits also reduce the number of reported cases unless retested with a PCR swab. If they wanted the numbers to decrease they would need to have a rigid lockdown, but then what do they really want. The public seems a little frantic right now which can be seen with the mass numbers queuing to be tested or waiting on a vaccine.
How stupid are they? lock down won't help , how many times have this been communicated, only cure is to mass vaccinate people and open up the country by October, at that time many people has been vaccinated and got the basic protection. The virus is everywhere, try to understand that.... The country will be totally destroyed by this rules and won't recoup in years...

that thread title will be well repeated (sadly) for the next 2 months.
They do expect pick of infection between 14 and 29.9, with daily 400-500 deaths and some 45 000 cases.
What went wrong?
suppose to be all over in 4-6 weeks?
Anutin says vaccination of 1.000.000 people every day (Very good), as an example; that would be to vaccinate 1000 people at 1000 different venues every day seven days a week. (possible yes). Requirement 30.000.000 doses a month. Where are those coming from (impossible as of now) and that would result in the whole population in Thailand would be vaccinated within 2,5 month with the first jab and the second within 5 months from now . I hope for all of us this will happened but the key is supply of vaccin... also note that children need to be vaccinated... EVERYONE NEED TO BE VACCINATED, look at US. with the antiwax movement , easy on a peace of paper but the reality is different.
