Oh come off it pal, I dont live in an area where the Thai's let their dogs mess everywhere. As a responsible dog owner I clear up my dogs mess and would not dream of leaving it. Would this happen in the western world of course it wasnt. The Farang guy is disgusting and its right on a populated beach where people swim and children play. I feel like picking up and smearing it all over his car door handles.

Required length of insurance?
jimn replied to bear9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I am sorry I have not seen such posts and I can assure you that the rule is that you have to have insurance for your period of stay. In fact it is checked at application, it certainly was for the COE. I have seen many examples on the facebook groups where people have had to buy insurance in line with their visa status for 1 to get the COE (not sure about Thailand Pass) and 2 to satisfy immigration on entry. I know Sandy F posted he was stamped in earlier, I wonder how this happened and how he got his COE without meeting the requirements. -
A bit overweight dog medium size. I see him many times and they always let the dog walk off the lead and s**t. We always carry plastic bags and clear up. No excuse for it. His place must the the same disgraceful

AseanNow is great for visa advice via UJ but its not the best for this type of advice. So I am not up to date with any misinformation stated. However if you want to follow any of the following groups to educate yourself please feel free https://www.facebook.com/groups/551797439092744/?ref=share https://www.facebook.com/groups/272003337395576/?ref=share https://www.facebook.com/groups/275821990252759/?ref=share -
I feel assamed when I see this Farang walking his Dog along with his Thai lady on Dongtan Beach Jomtien. Twice now I have seen the dog do its business alongside the waters edge in full view of them. They made no effort to clear up the dog s**t. Disgraceful. I do have photos of him but I am doubtful if posting them on here is the right thing to do. By the way I have a dog and would never do that.

Required length of insurance?
jimn replied to bear9's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Stated with 100% confidence after a year advising on the 3 main Facebook help groups. RB only stated that its not written anywhere. I can assure you from many many examples that If you have an OA, OX, STV and extension of stay based on Retirement/Marriage or even a Tourist Visa. You will only be stamped into Thailand until the end of the validity of your insurance. So even if you have an extension of stay that has a valid permission to stay for a further 9 months, if you only buy 1 month or 3 months Covid insurance you will only be stamped in for this period. Its particularly important with an OA when someone leaves and re enters to get the 2nd year, you need valid OA and Covid insurance to be stamped in for another 12 months. This has been discussed and proved to be correct over and over again on the Facebook Helpgroups. -

I disagree. No loophole. He has 30 days insurance and he will be stamped in for 30 days. The type of visa is irrelevant. -

For anyone living in the Pattaya area. I have TMN cable TV which before had Fox Sports 1,2 and 3. Just found out I can now get F1 on Astro Supersport 5, so all good for me.

They get hauled away into hospital and you are not allowed to go with them. This happened to a daughter (Thai/English mix) of a friend of mine who live here. His daughter is 3 years old. It was lucky a relation was in the same hospital and could be with her. A nightmare scenario, dont take the risk.

Wise after the event comes to mind. Just use Wise to transfer money to Thailand, why use it any other way. -

Without looking through 5 pages of comments. Pay pal has been used extensively by the bars in Pattaya whe they were open for live streaming. People could buy a girl or all the girlsa drink remotely using Paypal. I wonder if this has anything to do with the decision. -
I agree the Thailand Pass is a poor system and should have been introduced gradually for various embassys a bit by bit and ironing out issues on the way, keeping the COE until the Thailand Pass was perfected. I disagree with you about the COE, it was easy to understand and having used it twice very quick.

21 days? Fed up with waiting ..
jimn replied to Marjf's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
You are obviously doing something that the system does not like. Try a gmail e mail address, check your SPAM folder. Use a different browser. Although the system isnt perfect if you have made miltiple applications you would have got one back ok. -

1 year+ stay in Thailand

Lets be realistic and forget the volunteer visa. First of all make sure stay in Pattaya. Secondly you can either enter either visa exempt and visit an agent and pay about 25k for a combined Non O and retirement extension or get a Non O outside the country and get a retirement extension for 13K. Just wonder up Soi Bukeau and visit an agent. -
How did you meet your wife? First words?
jimn replied to Neeranam's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub

I know if you are on a retirement extension in Jomtien you normally do not need a TM30 after returning to Thailand and residing at the same address. Last year I returned home via ASQ and registered a TM30 as soon as I could. I am wondering was this really necesary? I have just returned home again via ASQ, should I do a new TM30?@ubonjoe

Ignore the people telling you that you have to book the flight before applying for the visa from the UK. All you need to do is do an online booking and stop before the payment stage where it shows your itinerary. Take a screenshot on your phone and submit that. 100's of people have done it and this is the advice on the Facebook help groups. I assure yoi it works as long as you show flight numbers.
