Seriously?? Was he that drunk that it has taken two days to get the desired reading?

Nobody bothered to check? ????
This is pretty basic stuff, lots of rules about exporting technology. Must have been some impressive sales presentation.

Might need some smart users to make it work.

I don't suppose anyone has proposed a survey of the length of the pipe to check its condition from end to end? This would be useful to determine if the leaks were from marine damage, poor maintenance or external forces.

There are millions in the south that will not have that problem. Their biggest problem is to get permission to leave the "temporary" control area. This could in fact do a lot of good for the south if they see a path to getting ahead, it may reduce the radicalisation and independence pathway. If the Generals allow it.

The trick might be to actually do something, rather than talking about it.

Why not call in the experts from the tiger temple/zoo? They could rehouse the miscreant.
Oh wait ...... Maybe there is another place.

Heaven forbid that Prayut has to actually get elected in order to become PM.

(Incidentally, does anyone know whether it'll apply to migrant workers from neighbouring countries?)
It depends how they arrive in the country.
Are you referring to those who arrive legally to work legally? Or the majority?

They quoted the RTP chief Pol Gen Suwat Chaengyodsuk as saying that a review is underway as to how Thailand manages to keep out foreign criminals.
He said that if this was done in the first place it could have prevented this violence.
This sounds a very familiar line. I wonder if they have a script in the training manual? It will be just after the section on how to reduce local thugs killing each other.

Must be an election in the offing,. With all the people abandoning the government parties and setting up their own party, I think it is so they can say "Look! Not me!" .

Thammanat Prompao was jailed for four years in 1994 for his role in a heroin smuggling case.
Now, now be nice to the poor man. The court said that because it did not happen Thailand he is still allowed to be an MP. I wonder how his case against the Sydney Morning Herald for printing the court documents is going. Not heard much on that front.

I must have missed the part where all the real jewelry including the famous blue diamond was returned to its rightful owners, and the part where justice was served to the people (likely Thai Police) that were behind the whole operation, including the shooting to death of Saudi diplomats in Bangkok and the murder of a woman and child.
I suspect most of the main players in this opera have died. This allows their successors a chance to do the "not me" dance.

Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha said Thursday that he will not dissolve the House or reshuffle his cabinet, but will carry on working and is ready to face the Opposition in the general debate scheduled for February 17th and 18th.
Dissolve parliament; God no, you can't predict what large numbers of people will do, let alone how they will vote. Want to keep job.
Reshuffle Cabinet; God no. Want to keep job, upsetting the enforcers makes this difficult, you never know how they will vote.

More effective would be if the DPM Toad ordered that the existing laws and fines be enforced without fear or favour. Remember the points system has kicked in too.
Even offer an extra % for the officers issuing the fines.
Or bonus % for red plated expensive/luxury vehicles.
I know I'm dreaming.

Even if the Chinese government would let the great unwashed out of the country, do these vendors and the Thai government really think they will prepared to go through the ever changing rules and regulations the Thai government comes up with? There are so many other places with so much easier and stable entry requirements.

Given the xenophobic nature of Thai politics, this proposition has little to no chance of getting past the cabinet no matter what the PM would like to think.
The other unspoken thing to realise is this proposition would require a change to the national anthem.

This should help reduce the number inter-college fights on the streets. Can't wait for the Thai youths to encounter the Saudi authorities as they try on their entitled attitudes.

Not sure what is more pathetic;
A 3 year old being sent to school,
or the poor little tacker getting COVID. I will take internet authority and assume he got it at school.

Hawker stalls, mom and pop shops, and small businesses that once fought for space along the pavement and sidewalks were no more.
Well the BMA will be happy, they have been trying to clear the footpaths for years with little success.

One way of preventing people getting hit at a pedestrian crossing.
Another would be to install the warning devices listed as missing in the article and then enforce the law without fear or favour.

Deputy Prime Minister and leader of Thailand’s ruling Palang Pracharat Party (PPRP), Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, said today (Tuesday) the group of 21 sacked MPS led by former party secretary-general Thammanat Prompao are still loyal to the government and that there will be no review of the expulsion order.
In other words, if they don't do as they are told next time someone challenges Thammanat's position in parliament, the court will decide that his Australian conviction for drug smuggling will affect his ability to sit in parliament.

Experts believe the current situation is the collective impact of swine diseases, high production cost, abnormal swings in demand and supply, as well as shortsighted government policy.
If the government bans exports before the customer countries ban imports to avoid the diseases, the locals will be expected to pay the export price which will cause some angst amongst the populace.

Someone needs to explain to the honourable minister that "quality" tourists need surety of process. Their limited relaxation time is valuable to them. Constant changing of the rules ensure cancelations of bookings and a different "quality" destination on the list for the next booking.

Russian Tourists Struggle to Leave Thailand Amid Russia-Ukraine Crisis
in Thailand News

It is a condition of entry into Thailand that you have a ticket out of the country, a return ticket is the normal way to satisfy this requirement.
That airlines servicing the Russian market are cancelling flights says a lot of their expectations of recouping costs. A state sponsored repatriation flight is often the norm in these sort of situations, unfortunately those who could make the needed decisions are focused on other events.
Those stuck in Thailand are suffering a number of issues beyond their control, they cannot get access to their funds, their currency has become almost worthless and no one wants to take them home. All caused by decisions made by those in power.
I hope they remember this when they get home.
