He also said that the Thai people were following the DMHT recommendations to 90% - again much better than abroad.
In most other parts of the world this would called racism. Also factually inaccurate.

That is a drop of half, TAT would normally ignore such a deviation of their plans as a rounding error
I am willing to bet the numbers are more dire that those given for TAT to even comment.

If TAT wants to attract the elusive "high end" of the tourist market they will have to ensure that the necessary infrastructure is built to the needed quality and . . . . . maintained.
Not holding my breath.

This is a path forged by others for a prison sentence being served in the police hospital, with the side benefit of having the government paying for all the treatment.

We concentrate the great unwashed tourists who cannot get the Thailand Pass, how about the poor Thais who cannot get back home?
These people are far more significant to the relevant authorities than the great unwashed. Even more worrying for them, they can complain in the correct language, and they may have connected relatives!

Must be hard when you can't use the usual politician's excuse and blame the previous administration without besmirching your own family. So it is the rain's fault, along with any building project permitted by any administration in recent decades.

But Dr Sophon Pornchokchai, who is chairman of the Agency for Real Estate Affairs cautioned in an online rant that it was not necessarily a good idea.
I wonder what the rest of the real estate industry thinks about this loss of potential commissions? Prices rise more commission.

Maybe if they stop locking them up and blaming them for spreading disease, the foreign workers will stay and work for the pittance they are offered. At least feed them and pay them a smaller pittance while locked in their camps.

Less committees and more actual results might change the TiP rating.
Only trouble with this course of action is it might cost some people money.
