whether the phone is switched on or off?
How do they track it when its turned off ?? don't think its possible a SIM card had no power source or antenna of its own.

Wrong!!! They can't do this. The mobile providers don't track you over GPS. They track you with their Antennas and their Cell-IDs.
I think they can write a small app that resides in the SIM card that could constantly turn on GPS and or keep a record of recent cell tower connections and send the information back to a database via 2/3/4G or WIFI.

Anyone can tell me the difference with an ankle tracker?
It looks a bit bigger than a SIM card.

Maybe they don't need to be giving out new SIM cards at all !
just register the phone on a Thai network and voila.

Do you have access to the original footage ?
if so I think you could try splitting the video into single frames then use some software to overlay many single frame images on top of each other to produce a composite image that should have a higher resolution.

I just explained that they could not check everyone and its implausible
And I just explained that there is no need to check all the fingerprints, just the threat of being able to do so is enough.

thai font arial.rar
Just make a backup/copy of your original arial font and copy the Thai one into the correct directory no need to fiddle with XML's.

The most you could expect is a free "helmet" and maybe a riding jacket I doubt they will budge on the price
but it does pay to shop around.

They don't have to check the fingerprints its the mere fact that they could check and see which way someone voted that would lead to abstention.

Can you confirm that the Thai national ID card has fingerprints ? That would mean EVERYONE in Thailand is fingerprinted (i really don't know).
Yes when they go to get the ID card made at the amphur office fingerprints are taken and I believe are storerd in the new cards with microcips on them.

Maybe people where afraid to vote no (thumb print on ballot paper) so chose not voting instead ?

There was a little known option to register to vote outside of home province used by 1%

Yes keep your Chonburi plates no problems, you can pay tax and insurance in any province.

Thaksin came to power under the 1997 " peoples constitution"
QuoteThe 1997 constitution was widely hailed as a landmark in democratic political reform. Promulgated on 11 October 1997, it was the first constitution to be drafted by an elected assembly

Thanks for the first hand information tahaan.
I still find it hard to believe they make UK riders pass a very strict test
but someone with a rather easy to pass Thai license can drive any size bike no problem !
Kwasaki was pointing out that the first ( 2 year ) Thai licence says "temporary" I think that can be compared to a provisional UK licence.

In Europe, not only do you have to be registered in a particular province but also you have to be registered at a specific polling station!.... So we can put away the tinfoil!
DO they also require thumb prints on ballot papers in Europe ?

And once you have your license you can return to England and ride any size bike you like for a year. With insurance of course.
Are you 100% sure about that ?? seems to make a mockery of the rather hard to pass UK bike tests.

Thanks for that waldroj I had seen that thread but mistakenly assumed it related to overseas Thais.
I think the 1% shows that not many people knew/know about this option.

Maybe they "double NATed" you.... I read on here that you can phone them and ask to be put back onto a "normal"
IP address.
Could be something messed up with your cable modem..if you have your login details try factory reset the modem
then re enter the login details.
3rd option call them and get them to send the "engineer" to fix it.

General Prem has a permanent residence in Nakhon Ratchasima but he exercised his right to vote outside his constituency by voting in Dusit district.
Hmmmmm everyone else has to go back to their "home" provinces to vote ??

for the rest...they cut the trees like this a few years ago and they mostly grew back..but in the mean time it does look like a bomb site !
Thai Subtitles in Android Box?
in Audio Visual AV
Posted
from my notes
Windows
copy airiel.ttf to /usr/share/kodi/addons/skin.confluence/fonts
in system/settings/apearance/skin change to ariel font and it should now display thai
no need to faf around with font.xml
in Raspbian XBMC
/home/pi/.xbmc-current/xbmc-bin/share/xbmc/addons/skin.confluence/fonts
I like to use a program called WinSCP to transfer and edit files on the " android box" in my case its a Raspberry PI
but I used it on a TOT IPTV box too which is much more like the android boxes being used.
