Theprasit night market has a section the Thais call the "dark market" because it doesn't have electricity supplied
its a bit further along the road towards the beach than the normal market and you'll find some used computer stuff there.
Also in Tukcom and the sois around Tukcom you can find a dwindling supply of second hand PC stuff..there used to be much more around dont know why or where it all went.

Virtually no demand for copper hot water cylinders
If you get a stainless steel water tank and stick somewhere out in the sun you'll get free hot water. Sometimes too hot.

If an engine runs fine on 10% ( gasohol 91/95 ) what are the effects of running 20% ethanol ?
-
I am confused with all of this. My car manufacture recommend I use gasohol 91. If they stop making it what would I use in replacement?
Gasohol 95 or E20
been running my old 2 stroke motorbike on gasohol 91 for years now....most said it would be disastrous to the engine it wasn't.

How much is a new helmet?
For a helmet that gives any sort of worthwhile protection at least 2000 baht
those 200 baht helmets you might as well just wear a plastic bucket on your head all they protect against is getting a fine from the police.

Did my 90 day report this morning was not asked to fill in this form...didn't see any of the 4 people in the 90 day queue in front of me hand over the form either.

Why not make it 999 easier to remember and dial.

by suggesting a new number could lead to a prison term of 5 years or a fine of 500,000 baht or both. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are a very few seats at the northern end..then you'll have to either sit on the steps leading down to the beach or rent a chair.
The girls are still there.

Unique way of identifying a person and which way they voted ! Isn't someone's vote supposed to be anonymous ?

They have to pay a fine that amounts to a very good days takings...then they can take their stuff back to try earn some money...rinse and repeat.

Not just the rats that use the chairs as a public convenience !

You say "problem" .. It's nothing to worry about, it's just routine. It will cost him another license plate.
Yes you're correct its routine and nothing to worry about but.....
It is a problem when someone who doesn't know turns up at the DLT thinking the transaction can be done a dealt with in one go only to find out that they may be having to make 2 more trips..
Of course if you get some "agency" to do all the running around and paperwork for you its not a problem at all just takes a bit longer and costs a bit more.
Certificate of residence is required for Pattaya other people from different provinces have said they didn't need it.

If you have a full (not provisional),licence you can convert with minimal testing (eyesight and reaction ) they will give you a licence for motorcycle only if you UK licence has that entitlement if not you have to do the full test.
Motorcycle and car licenses are 2 physically separate pieces of plastic. Your can have one without the other.
A UK provisional Licence is ok my wife used hers to get her Thai Car Licence last year....
Thats interesting, what province was that happen in ?

There was a report a few weeks ago that the water quality in Pattaya bay was "satisfactory"
others have suggested that the "dark" water flowing from shore into the bay is in fact seasonal algae bloom !

People do not go to Pattaya to lie on the beach the beach water / filthy people are choosing better destinations and some of the many are going elsewhere...
A lot of Thai people do....loads come from Bangkok every weekend they love to sit in the beach chairs under umbrellas ( so they wont get a tan )
quite a few will also play ( not swim ) in the water fully clothed ( have to remain pasty white or they might be mis identified as farmers )

I thought ( maybe wrong ) that Thai law says on a 2 or more lane road with traffic all moving in the same direction overtaking can take place on the left or right.

For you as the seller..there really is no requirement to do anything...the buyer ( if living in BKK or any province not Chonburi ) will be the one with the problem.
You don't have to go to a DLT to sell a bike just give the buyer all the relevant paperwork...make sure you write a receipt stating you sold the bike
to so and so on such a date...this will cover you if the new buyer uses the vehicle for something dodgy. also get a copy of their passport or ID card
you could market the bike to someone living in Chonburi province then they would have an easier time..not having to "move" the bike to a new province.
relevant paperwork
Thai seller needs to supply.Signed copy of ID card front and back ( not expired )Signed copy of house registration ( not allways required )signed " nungsue moub umnart " หนังสือมอบอำนาจ ( if seller is not going with you to DLT )signed "beb kum kor own le rup own " แบบคำขอโอนและรับโอน ขส.บ. ท. - 11green/ blue book signed by current ownerForeigner seller needs to supply.certificate of residence from immigration ( should be free at immigration but varies from place to place )For foreign seller, in stead of certificate of residence also work permit or yellow housebook is accepted.if foreign seller has left Thailand then a signed copy of the exit from Thailand stamp in their passportinstead of residence certificateand valid visa stamp.(Certificate of residence not required in all provinces Pattaya requires it )sometimes the police station will give you this document too.copy passport photo pagecopy of visa page and or extension ( not expired )( if seller is not going with you to DLT )
signed " nungsue moub umnart "
umnart_drl6_.pdfหนังสือมอบอำนาจ( if seller is not going with you to DLT )signed "beb kum kor own le rup own " แบบคำขอโอนและรับโอน ขส.บ. ท. - 11green/blue book signed by current owner. -
What you could try is to get a signed copy of the old owners exit from Thailand stamp in his passport
then the residence certificate requirement should be gone.
If you leave it in his name it will be quite unattractive to a new buyer..as they will face the same problems you do
bikes with green book "problems" often sell much cheaper than normal.

Agree 100% with the above post by Awohalitsiktoli
even some Thais seem to be concerned and have picked up on another TV post about the tree cutting
