Anutin speaks out on the unvaccinated possibly facing restrictions
joecoolfrog replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
But the point is moot . A vaccinated person is far less likely to suffer serious consequencies. In the UK 90% of recent covid hospitalisations were unvaccinated people. Vaccinations ease pressure on health services and save lives ! -
Not very bright are you !

The negativety is obvious , why would a tourist go to Thailand right now when there are clearly better and easier alternatives available ? Im sure you had your reasons for going, as do a small number of other visitors , but currently Thailand is a completely unattractive destination for the vast majority of mainstream tourists.

Couldn't say , I dont bank in Thailand. -
The entry requirements have improved for those who have a NEED to visit or return to Thailand. For the casual tourist the requirements remain onerous and this group represents perhaps 95% of potential visitors. The relevent fact is that the average tourist will not jump through any hoops if competing destinations do not require them. You assume that your experience is somehow reflective of the norm , it most certainly is not. For fully vaccinated visitors a pre flight test is all that is needed , when that happens , tourists will return to Thailand in far greater numbers.

Up to you but your hacking angle is simple fear mongering. If I get mugged and all my cash is lifted I get back nothing , if my debit card is hacked my bank reimburses me the full amount. In the UK , hardly a nation of sheep , cash transactions are becoming less and less common. We dont use cards etc because we have to , simply because they are so convenient. -
Completely agree with you , thats why im not even considering returning to Thailand until mid next year. Im hoping by then the government will have seen sense , though I wouldn't bank on it . I get the feeling that they still have a ' we are doing you a favour letting you visit ' mentality , its actually the other way around !

Pubs and bars to remain closed in 17 pilot areas after November 1
joecoolfrog replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Indeed , but of course most of the rest of the world bought themselves time by subsidising small business and their workforce. Thailand has left a large percentage of its citizens to rot , consequently the government is panicking. -

What is your obsession with go go bars , the entire entertainment sector is shuttered . I haven't been near a go go in years but do enjoy having a beer and watching the world go by , maybe listening to music. I wont even consider going back to Thailand until its fully opened up , the majority of tourists will be of the same mind.- 322 replies

I really dont understand your point. Are you simply embarassed that the ' folks back home ' know you live in a ( mostly thai driven) sex hub ? -

For every Neon lit farang style bar there are a hundred Thai bars/karaoke joints / brothels , its an embedded part of the culture. If you really live in Thailand you must lead a very blinkered and sheltered life.- 322 replies
