  1. That is "The Argument of First Cause", which was debunked over 300 years ago. Are you really saying that an entity with incredible powers must be the cause of the universe? So, what is the cause of that astounding entity? If you hadn't had your brains pickled by religious lunatics, you would see the irrationality your position
  2. That is not how science works. The onus is upon the submitter of a hypothesis to provide a case. There are an infinite number of entities that can be put into words - blue elephants at the centre of the moon etc, but no sane person concerns themselves with evidence for such things. If we had just one generation where small children did not have their brains poisoned, religion would die out.
  3. An individual's likes, dislikes and preferences have no bearing on the fact that there is not a scrap of hard evidence in favour of "a god, and/or an afterlife exist". People believe in such fact-free nonsense because they were brainwashed at an early age. The damage that such gibberish does is monumental.
  4. My TGF (Thai citizen and resident) has a well-paying professional job, and (like many others) is concerned about how to safely invest her savings. My opinion is that the share market is too volatile at the moment; she is looking for other options that pay a useful return. An example is a Thai REIT. Does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks.
  5. If you go to the food court in Central (basement) and walk in the direction of 2nd Rd, you will see a tiny Khao Soi stall on the right hand side.
  6. You are aware that Fox News is a dishonest "news" outlet, aren't you? FN testified in a court of law that they do not employ fact-checkers, and their aim is to provide entertainment and not fact-based news. The purpose of FN is to fool people into voting for legislators who will benefit the wealthy. That is why Trump's only effective legislation was lower tax cuts for the wealthy. Do yourself a favour - move away from the lies FN puts out.
  7. No. Just get a Bolt. If that's not on your phone, download it.
  8. So take a photo of him... follow him for a while. See how he likes it.
  9. Is Rapamycin available in Pattaya, from medical clinics or hospitals? Is a prescription necessary? It's not for transplant rejection, but to inhibit mTOR.
  10. I visited the jail just north of Pattaya a couple of years ago. I gave the authorities maybe 10 books (novels) and a pile of magazines - New Scientist and Economist. Maybe they will fill in some time for some of the inmates.
  11. Look up: prostate cancer nanoknife
  12. I do not know for sure, but I am confident there are quite a few... foolishness, stupidity, dishonesty, bad luck, unfair mistakes etc all add up to many poor buggers being stuck in there. Given the size of the Pattaya tourist crowd, surely quite a few are from the US/UK/AU/NZ etc.
  13. I had a pile of books... I took them to Pattaya Jail... they will help to fill in the time for some inmates.
  14. I am an Australian citizen and resident, and I intend to spend six weeks in Thailand later in the year. My current plan is, enter on a 30-day visa-exempt, and get an extension while in Thailand. My question is: Can I enter with my flight out being in six weeks? Or do I need to have an departure flight within the 30 days of the visa-exempt?
  15. I confirm that Jade House, off Thappraya Rd, is PERMANENTLY CLOSED.

  17. If/when you talk to a data recovery service, ask if they have a Class 100 Clean Room. https://datatechlab.com/about-datatech-labs/iso-5-certified-class-100-cleanroom/ If you MUST get your data back, be wary of using an installation that does not have a C100CR. The best firms have them, the lesser players do not. If you are really stuck, consider an overseas firm; they are the best in Australia by far: https://www.payam.com.au
  18. Many essays, interviews, letters etc: https://chomsky.info/
  19. Soon I will be visiting a friend who lives very close to Queen Sirikit Hospital, off Sukhumvit on the far side of Sattahip. I will be getting one of those white minibuses that zip down Sukhumvit to Rayong. My question is, what time do those buses stop running from Rayong back to Pattaya? Thanks for your help...
  20. and a mass-murderer. One of the most loathsome individuals that ever lived.
  21. I will stay with a friend of mine who has an apartment near Jomtien.
  22. I thank the contributors for taking the time to help...
  23. I am an Australian citizen and resident. My job in Australia allows me to take extended intervals off, and I would like to spend time (say, 60 days) in Thailand twice a year. I would not be doing any work in Thailand. I am interested in opinions on the merits/disadvantages of: - visa-waiver and extending it. - single-entry tourist visa - multiple entry visa - any other ideas you have Thanks.
  24. In Thai law, yes. I believe "in the hours of darkness" is the correct translation.
