I've met a lot of bizarre things here in Thailand...
-
When it rains I wear my rain jacket or open my umbrella

When you give some coins or some food to a beggar you don't give only to make him happy but also to make you feel doing something good.
Don't think too much about he is real beggar or a cheater.
Give him what you can give and do it with your heart and feel happy.
Giving makes you happier than receiving.

Hello,
Try this product (see pic).
Its smell should keep snakes away from your home. Just sprinkle a bit around your property and you will be free from snakes (if they come from outside your ground).
Sprinkle it where ever you think they come from. The smell is awful for snakes and they avoid it.
If you dilute it in water, it's a good insect repellent too...
I don't remember the price (50 THB/pack ?) and you will find it in any garden- or farmer shop. (Global, ThaiWadsadu and HomePro: No have)
I bought that stuff to try to keep monitors away from my garden... but it doesn't help. Already had to drive 4 of them longer than 1m out of my garden (they jump over the wall).

The world is selfish and this video clip shows us why it is.
Even "Help your next" means taking a risk!

It was, it is and it will be always the same: bad people taking advantage of people in need and taking their last cent making them hope of a better life.
It was, it is and it will be always the same: people wanting to get a "better life" and investing their last cent (or even the cent they don't have) in a silly project of expatriation.Blame the vulture but don't pity the prey then it was blinded by fast and easy money.

Thank you for the reply.
You have a pretty dog! -
What a coincidence: today one of our dogs barked very loud (other sound than when there is a snake in the garden) and when I arrived to check what happened, I saw a 1.5m long water monitor in the garden.
I was afraid for my dog.
Although I am champion in catching snakes, I couldn't take it on me to catch the monitor. I know they are very fast and will be difficult to keep at the end of the catcher stick and alone I have no chance to catch it alive.
I tried to keep my dog away from it because even if they have no poison, their mouth water is full of bacteria and their teeth are very sharp.
While the GF called the rescue to come help, it started to move. My dog lost itself from my arms and ran behind the monitor. The beast ran and climbed as fast as it ran the 1.8m high wall and disappeared in the swamp behind our house.
I'd like to know what kind of dog the OP has. Mine are a mix of Labrador and Thai dogs. Their size are 58 cm (6 yo) and 60cm (1.5 yo) at the shoulder (both female) but anyway I was scared anything could happen to them.By the way, GF says that killing a monitor should give bad karma...
(but we never kill animals we catch, we let them free far away from home)

Have You Been There, Really ???
I guess that moose doesn't want to see too many tourists in Prachuap... and I can understand him

Wel done Wanisa Junjeua!
Good that this world can count on people like you.

5 years ago, on the move to the South I stopped in Prachuap Khiri Khan to spend the night... I'm still there. I never moved further!

They didn't say a lot about his life.
Maybe he is one of those kids who have to go sell veggies or chicken on the market or help dad in the farm before doing school homework and then he can be proud!
Well done dude!

Maybe 3 "bashers" out of 15 posts? Not a lot of negativity.
It's 3 too much !

It was provocation!
If I was at the place of the dog I'd have done the same...

In my house, fans run 24h/day. The first one I bought ran only one year. I used to clean grids and propeller every month.
Now I clean the fans every 2 weeks and every 2 months I open the motor cover and do a bit of silicon spray in both bearings (front and rear). They are running now for almost 2 years without any problem and very quiet.
You could make a try with a 3.3 microF capacitor or add another 1.8 in parallel.

If your card works in some machines and doesn't work in other ones, the problem might come from the machine...
Probable reasons why it doesn't work:
- your card is electro statically charged --> wrapping the card in a plastic bag and then swiping it could help.
- the place or the wallet where you store your card is magnetic --> change place/wallet. Don't keep your card near your mobile phone...
- the magnetic strip or the chip are not 100% clean (fingerprint) --> cleaning them with a piece of fabric might work.
- the reader in the machine is dirty and not sensitive enough --> try another machine.

Please tell him next time to close the fridge's door!

How about spending 5k-10k for children in the hospital in your city?
How about "sponsoring" a poor family in your village with ?k for the children every month?
I don't have a lot of money (no income) but every time I go to the market I buy some food for the beggars in the city.
Maybe you do it already but I hope this answer will give other readers some idea...

Some Thai people also fear soi dogs but they will never think about killing them. They belong to the Thai life, same the monkeys, the snakes and the pigeons.
Only strangers complain about soi dogs and snakes and pigeons... Strange, isn't it?
If someone wants better car drivers on better roads, less noise after 10PM, no need to extend your permission of stay every year, no 10 times higher prices in national parks and no soi dogs, that someone should stay in his home country.
Who chooses to live in Thailand should not only take the sun, the cheap prices and the nice life but also accept the dark side of the host country.

One of my dog came home as puppy. It came from nowhere and we kept it. The other was found near a forest in no man's land. It was also a puppy. They are now 5 and 2 years with me.
Only my GF comes from night market...

As my ex-wife always said: you can get appetite everywhere but you must eat at home.

Well done Your Majesty!
And now Mr Prayut should let check if the ground of the temple was bought legally and if not: let come the bulldozers!
Forgot to do the 90 day report online
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Posted
The last time I checked to make a 90 days report online, it worked only with Internet Explorer... Maybe I missed a post but it now works with Firefox (at least with the link provided by Ubonjoe)!
FF will tell you that the site is not secured and ask you to go back. If you click on "Advanced" you can choose "Make an exception". Then a new window opens and you can confirm the exception.
And now you can make your 90 days report online with Firefox. I didn't check with Chrome but I guess there will be a similar procedure to enter the 90 days reporting site.
Have a nice week![ ](//forum.thaivisa.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png)
